You did it again!

Your teaser line in this thread should make anyone who has ever read either of your earlier Nora stories wonder what happened to her. When I found out, I'm not ashamed to admit that I choked up. Your depiction of Nora's collapse was devastating, as I'm sure you intended it to be. Her subsequent recovery, and the reasons for it, were inspiring. This was an amazing tale of emotion, clinical but heartfelt in its accurate description of depression and despair, tantalizing in its promise of healing, and satisfying in its conclusion.

The sex was beautiful, too!

 

Between your lovely stories of Nora and LuButt17's story 'Canon', I'm running out of tissues.

My dear lady, how can I possibly explain my feelings while reading these three chapters of Nora's story? Simply wonderful? Okay, but that phrase doesn't really cover it. You have surpassed my expectations and believe me, my expectations were very high.

I loved the story more than I can possibly tell you. Thank you so very much.

While I agree that Ellen would make a wonderful novelist (these NORA installments would be runaway bestsellers) - I disagree with the assertion she is wasting her talent here. Here, she doesn't have to deal with asshole publishers and impossible-to-please editors. She doesn't have to promote, put her life on hold, compromise her work, or sell her soul to the Devil!

Besides, dang-it, if this story were a novel we readers would have to pay about a zillion bucks for it then we'd be as broke as the good old USA!!!

Ellen, I may be speaking on selfish, mercenary grounds, but please keep on writing these FREE masterpieces!!!

Thank you Jack and Don. I'm not going anywhere. I'm not sure there's another story in me. I had almost a two month block until Nora spoke up. I enjoy writing and will keep doing so.

I think Nora 3 is your best story yet. Absolutely stunning. So real, so true - anyone who has ever suffered a devastating loss knows how true your writing was here. Anyone who has ever felt friendship turn to love knows, too.

"Your best story" is saying a lot. You're one of the best writers here, and you get better with every story. Write the novel - but write for us too.

A very touching story

Not to take away from the other writers and their wonderful stories, but this story was the best story I have read in a while.

Good hell, right now the story and what I think about it is still flooding my mind. I am gonna have to sort out my thoughts and try to write them down afterwards. However, I doubt if anything I write is gonna be good enough sometimes words fail to express feelings, and thoughts to the extent at which they live in your head.

I went back and re-read the first 2 and then read the new section. It made me laugh, and all admit almost cry too... it is nothing short of what I have come to expect when reading ejls stories may she have many more words to grace us and enthrall our minds.
