Some things do not need to be said. Only a retard would not know that every married man has been told at least once in his life not to do it.

 

Even if your relationship is in the toilet, if she would see it as a betrayal (and she most likely would) it would be cheating.
And if she sees it as cheating then that could come back and bite you in the ass if she ever decided on divorce.

Sorry your in that situation. Sounds like you have both tits in the wringer! Been there once. Got to the point that I couldn't stand being in the same room with her. Did some real life cheating. Fell in love with another woman. Got caught, got divorced. As far as the court was concerned her refusal to have sex over a long period of time counted in my favor and I got joint custody of the kid we had together and full custody of the two I brought into the marriage and that she had adopted. She even had to pay me some support for the one that was under 18 because she had adopted her.
The child may be better off if you split with some reasonable terms to see and care for it, than living in the hell house of parents who hate each other and fight all the time. Think it over and get yourself some couselling, doesn't sound like she would go. Also talk to a lawyer and get some legal advise. Find out where you would stand in court.

 

I can appreciate the difficulty in your circumstances, but let me put this idea to you:

If you cheat, and are caught, then she has every right to twist her knife to the fullest possible extent. At that point, you become the guilty party, and she has final confirmation in her head that she owes you precisely nothing.

Oldiegoodie is right: the child may well be better off. Advocate a trial separation as a precursor to a possible divorce, perhaps.

Lastly - and I don't really like saying this, because I know it's not easy, having been in an abusive relationship before - grow some spine. I can't think of a nicer way to put it, sorry. Stop getting angry - but get firm, get immovable. Refuse to discuss anything if she won't be reasonable; simply look her in the eye, tell her "I am leaving for an hour. When I come back, I want to discuss this like adults." Keep doing this until it works - stay at a buddy's house for the night if you have to!

She'll get the message - and if she still refuses, it's time to walk.

 

I think that its not cheating and its okay to do every once in a while but you cant get obsessed with it and let it take over and be more interested in it then your wife.
