You are 22 years of age and I assume you do not look like the elephant man. I would spend the night taking it easy on the Leidseplein then at about 11 or midnight go to the Milky Way (which used to have a coffee shop on the top floor) or the Paradiso and dance the night away. You may just end up meeting a Dutch girl and getting some meaningful sex.

Buy your weed from a coffee shop, not on the street. Ask for Merry Crystal or Bio or Thai, do not smoke the White Widow because it will end your evening prematurely. One gram will cost between 8-12 euros depending where you buy it.
Do not drink pints because you stand out as a Brit on tour and that will not get you laid. Ask for a 'vaasje' pronounced phonetically as 'vase-je', this is the locals unit of consumption and is about 300ml.

The coffee shops aint coffee shops - they are all pot shops.
The women in the red light area are great IF you can find one at a reasonable price.
Its easy to get Dutch girls/guys into bed - if you treat them right - they believe in recreational sex rather than a committed relationship.

 

Go at night - the women during the day are usually older and most unattractive.
The younger better looking ones come after their day job.

Well, it's probably not the average brittish tourists, but the average brittish tourist that stands out
Apparantly there are still quite a lot of folks from the UK that aren't used to pubs that stay open after 11, problem is, if people drink heavily enough to be plastered before 11, imagine what they are like at 3 AM

Still, we mostly notice the negatives, there's probably a lot more well-behaved britts around that just don't get noticed.
