How old were you when you had your first period? What were the circumstances? Was it a surprise? Was it a mess?

 

I think there's a "secret female society" rule that girls can't answer this question. If there wasn't, a lot of girls would have answered by now.

 

13 - Christmas eve - my mother went running down the stairs announcing to my dad that I was a woman now. Yeah, fucking Merry Christmas.

 

You know thinking of my Vagina in a medical way or as a reproductive organ is not a turn-on!!! Periods aren't fun, and to think some guy would get off about hearing about it is repulsive!!!

The only good thing about having your period is knowing your not pregnant.... this month!!!

I was 13 and it came during math class. I just felt wet and was excused to the bathroom. Once there I found my panties were a mess and had to remove them and stuff them in the trash. Then my best friend came in and by then the blood was trickling down my legs. It was an embarrasing mess.

12. 7th grade.. Had female issues.. was taken to the doctor.. was swabbed ( to check for yeast infection) and took urine ( check for UTI)

he came back in and said " She has a yeast Infection, and there was a lot of blood in her urine, she's about to start her period"

So that same day i was at my grandmothers ( my mother was there too) I suddenly felt like I pissed on myself.. and I went to the bathroom, and wha-la period. I cried all the way home. On the 2nd day of my period, I started using tampons.... pads are gross.

but thats how my adventure went

 

I was 11. My mother had told me nothing, and none of my friends had started. I was scared to death and thought I was dying. My mother explained it to me while showing me how to use a pad and then told me to keep it a secret and never tell anyone.

 

I was 11 and hadn't a clue what was going on so told my mother and she gave me some pads. And that was that. I once fainted in school because of it, made me anaemic I think. They're a pain in the arse, I had to start on the pill recently because they were so irregular.

9, and i knew what it was, i just found some pads in the bathroom. My best friend didn't start till she was 15, and she was visiting me, no one had told her what was gonna happen she came back into the room crying and saying she needed to go home, once i figured it out and explained it to her, her mom messed her up by telling her there was something wrong with her because it wasn't regular.

No ones periods are regular, or that late, when you don't eat enough. It started at my place because she'd finally been eating enough, she came to stay for summer vacation for 2 months. Her mom's idea of a solid meal was about one tablespoon of food. She was 6 feet tall, and 78 lbs until she moved out.

 

I was 11, the day before I couldnt even move cause the cramps were so bad then the next day I started at the movie theather. Started using tampons day 2 as well cause pads are so nasty. Also I knew what it was from the changes program at school not cause my mom told me anything cause she totally didnt. I had been shaving my area for like 2 years already and kept it bald after starting my period cause blood and hair do not mix.

I was in 6th grade, it was the day before the big "6th grade day fieldtrip" I had been looking forward to it since 1st grade when I saw all the 6th graders returning on the bus from the waterpark.

I was devastated cause I wouldn't be able to go on the waterslides or play in the water at all. My aunt came over to try and teach me about tampons, but she brought me a couple of her super plus ones. It was not comfortable at all, so I just stayed out of the water
