Im a cold hearted bastard and responsible for the moral decay of western civilisation because I have no empathy for Americans who are killed in a foreign country they shouldnt have invaded in the first place?

 

The decision where a soldier goes and fights is made by politicians for political reasons, soldiers just do as they are told, it would be nice to pick and choose were we go but that aint the way of the green machine, but once in the war zone you aint fighting for your country, flag, or political ideals, you do it because you need to protect the guys either side of you, because they are doing exactly the same.
Not one soldier will ask you for empathy, their is no way you can empathise as you have no idea what it is like to have bombs and bullets thrown at you unless you have done it yourself, they might ask for a little sympathy for their fallen and injured comrades, and maybe raise a glass or two and remember they sacrificed their lives so the guy next to him could live.
As a New Zealander your forebears would have been Anzacs and therefore the Kohima epitaph should mean something to you.

I'm with Carrie on this. This guy needs to be evaluated. I'm all for free speech etc. But this guy is demented. Not care about the loss of life on 9/11? Where are you from and who taught you your value systems?

We, {the USA and some other countries} are putting our sons and daughters in harms way to prevent another 9/11, not just in US, but everywhere.

I suggest that the OP put a set of battle fatigues on and pick up a rifle and help, or just simply crawl back into what ever hole you came from.

Again, as per usual for threads, we have digressed. I have no personal involvement with what happened on 11/9. The consequences however have impacted on how my life is now lived. Walking around with a t-shirt saying "Im not an American" does extend my life expectancy though.

I really hate seeing politicians on Remembrance Sunday, walking solemnly and laying down a wreath, then they stand there as the parade marches past, as they troops salute the Queen they have that smug look on their face and you can almost see them thinking yes they are saluting me as well.
When I was out in GW 1 John Major the then Prime Minister came around on a visit, My Battery Sergeant Major poked is head into my track and said there was a parade for him, being a cheeky fucker I told him I didn't vote for the cunt so I wasn't gonna parade for him, I added that if it was Kate Adie (BBC war correspondent) I would come but not for that cunt.

Yeah, they are not. Far from it actually. What about 7/7 etc. and before all else the IRA attacks us Brits have been dodging since goodness knows how long because the AMERICANS were funding them.

Without dividing people too much, do you really think it is that easy to hijack an plane, inside the World’s richest country with jets on standby to counter such threats, fly it perfectly without any major experience of an plane of such size, (no, not autopilot, unless it is an inside job...) and manage to bank it into a building? Crashing a plane can’t be too difficult but diverting a plane off autopilot in the same manner as an experience pilot of at least 15 years?

On the same day, a duplicate occurrence within minutes plus two other incidents including one flying into an empty part of a top Government building (the opposite side to the important people) ironically with a trillion dollar or so hole in their finances with a large fuel tank in front also without being intercepted?

Talking of Americans and War... you once dropped an atomic bomb... (Before a larger one doing less damage but I won’t go into that) above a dome building which is made of steel and is still lasting today (Peace Dome or something) yet a much stronger structure collapses twice (each building, and the chances of such both falling totally to the ground at freefall speeds...) by jet fuel (put it another way if you were a few blocks away your eye brows wouldn’t be singed but if it was an atomic bomb you would be cremated...) and a subsequent “fire” knocks down another big steel building where a plane never hit into it? Anyone with common sense can see the fuel mostly burned off on impact.

Furthermore, Saddam was found.... although Osama Bin Laden the model, who was much more wanted and assigned greater resources to find him, still to this day hasn’t... A quick brainstorm reveals that Saddam was just a dictator who once removed had “benefits” for those involved and took the invaders about 9 months to capture him.

The hunt for OBL started slightly after 11/9... and 10 years later he still isn’t found. Some reports say he is dead but without a body that is rather pointless information. Then you have a 100% “underground” terrorist organisation with a strange organisational setup with no location deemed as an HQ. After all that, it was obvious that OBL didn’t carry out the attack... but what crime has he committed? International crime against humanity? He only claimed responsibility on a video... there is no evidence of a plot of such attacks anyway. You would suspect an increased defence after such attack, but invading a country to look for someone who had “claimed” they were responsible (some 4 years or so after an invasion) on the off chance they were responsible? Something not right there.

Of course, all attacks were done in the name of such organisation and not by the organisation themselves... a niche type of terrorism I suppose. Then how was it plotted by such? Yeah of course, one moment in a hundred years, the US were off guard, some Muslims hijacked planes and murdered many people. Everyone makes mistakes right? Including killing innocent civilians because of their race or nationality... because they could be terrorists.

I fully recognize the innocent slaughter in all forms around the world. I was
simply putting forth the concept that someone, somewhere has to look for the "bad guys", who ever they may be in a given situation. I did not loose anyone I knew on 9/11, I have lost friends in actions since then. Their families, for the most part, understood what their loved ones were doing.
You may call it arrogance, that's OK.

I think it is a sad state of affairs when countries that have suffered attacks similar to 9/11, and have pulled their troops out of the effort to fight the folks responsible for all these attacks many countries have suffered.

As a US citizen, I would rather take the fight to them then to have it continue on my shores, some may say that is arrogance, so be it.

 

I still find it intresting that the F.B.I website "most wanted" poster for OBL does not list 9/11.
And when asked the F.B.I admit that there is no "hard evidance" to link OBL to 9/11

Then the curious lil fact... 6 of the 19 "terriosts hijackers" on 9/11 have been found alive and well.
So people who were on those planes survived? or were not on them at all.

But more intresting is the fact that the 6 found alive and well...still have`nt been removed from any U.S. gouverment websites.

I`m not saying aircraft did`nt crash into buildings or the loss of life.
But after almost TEN YEARS you would think the U.S. Gouverment would have got the story sorted out.
