Uhm lucky you? It is medically proven that getting pregnant DOES NOT have much to do with sperm as much as it has to do with the female body, hormones and cycle. Of course we need the sperm However, the chances of conception are relatively slim. This does not mean be foolish and sample the pulling out thing numbnuts. It could be a number of reasons why you aren't popping biscuits in the oven. Hell, he could just be shooting blanks

What kind of staggering constellation of educational and parental failiures led to the existance of 18 year olds who rely on vatican roulette for protection? wow... i think people are being a little harsh here. on both sides...

sometimes its not as easy as "take a pill" or "use a condom." if girls smoke or have medical problems then they cant get on the pill. also, i know some girls who get allergic reactions to condoms.

on the other hand, yeah it isn't too smart not to use any protection and pulling out isn't the greatest idea on the planet. but my exboyfriend and i always used the pull out method and i didn't get pregnant. but then we started using condoms and i did get pregnant.. but i had a miscarriage.

so either way.. there's no "foolproof" method of birth control. so calm down everyone.. damn...

 

So you find one that works for you. There are lots of options.

I did not even have to bother with reading this entire forum to understand the idiocy of the original poster. It is absolutely absurd that such knowledge has not already been understood. High Schools incorporate Sex Education in their criteria, it is a required course. And being eighteen, as he says, means he should have taken the class. Condoms are so easy to get a hold of, shall I list them? Some, if not most, truckstops and gas stations will have a condom dispenser. If fifty cents to a dollar is too much of a hassle to buy a varied sort of condom, then the regular old Wal-Mart can suffice. And if, for some off reason, there is always the free method of going to the local county Health Department where they are usually entitled to give them away.

Eh you're bieng too harsh on the him, who really payed attention in those classes anway? I know I didn't(im 18 btw), I obtained knowledge elsewhere...which leads to my next point, this forum is here to be informative...for those who might not understand exactly what to do when pertaining to sex, why criticize?

 

I don't think people are trying to be critical of any of the posters, I think they're lamenting the alarming lack of knowledge being evidenced. And part of the reason for that is that people DO rely on friends and acquaintences for their sexual knowledge, and that results in a ton of misinformation being spread around. And the bottom line is that anyone who relies on "pulling out" as a means of birth control is the victim of misinformation.

 

lol if the people involved had really done their research as to taking the pill or condoms they certainly wouldn't be so clueless.
These methods aren't 100% but not having a method on your side is inviting an accident to happen.
