There's been a fair bit of nonsense espoused here.

Those who lament the impending loss of child rape on this site repetitively chant the mantras of, "Freedom of Expression" or "Censorship" in trying to claim the moral high ground.

This is simplistic twaddle.

There are many areas where freedom of expression is illegal. "To yell "Fire" where non exists in a crowd is a crime. To verbally induce others to commit a crime is a crime, to verbally conspire with others to commit a crime is illegal.
There are many limits of freedom of expression in society at large.

The other is that the owners of the site are perfectly entitled to impose whatever limits they choose, as do 99.99% of sites. As I do and probably you do in your own houses. If a visitor to my house swears profanely in front of my children, I will ask him/her to desist, if he insults my wife I will ask him to leave. Most if not all of us will have limits on the verbal behaviour of visitors to our homes.

So with the owners of the site. They are absolutely entitled to include and exclude whatever they wish. If you don't like it go somewhere else.

So, writers and readers of child rape, a few of whom actually write quite well, please don't justify yourselves as guardians of our freedoms. Somewhere there will be an outlet for your inclinations. The site will sink or swim without you.

Stand not upon the order of your going.

It would have been nice to know that My stories were never welcome here. I don't understand why there are certain categories if you don't welcome stories in those categories. But I do not need to be told twice.

I've mentioned before that the owners/admins have the right to set their own standards for the site, and I would never argue that point. However, I've still not seen any explanation of why underage stories, and only underage stories are being banned.

I've posted a number of stories on this site under a different screen name from this one. (Yes, there's a good reason for the new name, no I'm not going to tell you what it is, but it's not related to any of my posts or stories.) Quite a large percentage of those stories involve acts that are illegal, including underage sex (minors with adults, two minors together), incest, rape, bestiality, kidnapping, and murder. Only one of those categories is being banned, and I'd still be interested to know why.

Unfortunately it is NOT nicely stated because, until there has been a definate ruling on what age is acceptable in a story, you may just find that you are praising the idea of 12yrs or 14yrs being the cut-off age...

Considering there has been enough posts pointing out the difference between, what people consider pedophilia and under-aged sex. The matter is far from being resolved to a point where, a level of satisfaction has been achieved...

Personally I would support a cut-off age of 14 yrs old, being as most children are aware of the sexual act from about 12yrs old and have experimented....

 

It will be ruled by what the majority of people consider a 'child'. That is why members are offered the option to report. Of course if specialK was in charge, all characters would be in their 40s and taking hormones for their menopause or popping Viagra:excited:

Here was I thinking that the ruling on what age was considered a "child" would come from the admin of the site. Not some majority vote taken by a bunch of perverts, who have equal but opposing views...

Maybe SpecialKay should give us all the answer, as she has repeatedly told me that she has posted it.....
Can some kind member find the post and send a link to the new admin and the mods, and here aswell, then this whole topic can be put to bed at last...
But please do not send the link to the forum rules, as a mod has already stated that the "under 18 anywhere" ruling ONLY applied to images, and NEVER to the story site....

 

Then why would there even be a 'report' option if the rules are coming from admin? They are seeing what the majority will tolerate and deleting those stories first. If no one reports them, the admin will shirk responsibility by saying that none of us reported the stories

No one will have any influence over the decisions of the owners. The change in what they find acceptable reading material had nothing to do with member influence. It has everything to do with laws and business practices involved in the country where the server is housed, and the owners preference.

I would really love it if everyone would just stop the name calling, the accusations and the inuendos. This is a done deal and we do not have any more information. Why speculate? Just be patient and wait for further announcements.

I don't know about anyone else, but this whole thing has made me very weary.

 

I agree it is an intelligent option, BUT it is open to abuse by members, who take a dislike to a certain story or author...This is already happening on the sex story side, with some members stories being either reported or receiving negative comments and votes...


Admin will post the rules and guide-lines that this site should operate under, the 'report' function is there for members to use if they read anything that is AGAINST the rules. This function should NEVER be part of the rule making, but should be used to uphold rules already in place...

 

If it's a done deal then they should be able to give an age limit. That's what everyone is waiting for.

 

Right. Though the voting system here does see its fair share of misuse, so the same thing should be expected of this new report feature thus creating more work.

I think it will be a combination of the two, or a lack of adequate volunteers to filter through the stories makes the members moderate themselves.

Hopefully the voting gets back to normal around here :laughing:

Wow congratulations to all non pedophiles on your moralistic victory, the internet is now somewhat safer for (underage) fictional characters.

So who should we bash next once the pedo's are gone? the zoophiles? the rape writers? how bout the sadists they are particularly "evil". If I get a vote, I say we get rid of the gays! Up untill now I have always been tolerant of them and avoided stories with gay content, however it seems to be the custom of this sites users to read stories that they know will disgust them then raise hell because those stories exist.

Honestly when I think of a guy sucking another guys dick... It just makes me wanna puke! I don't think those stories should be allowed, I am utterly offended by their existence! not to mention the fact that they make baby Jesus cry! hopefully they will make a link to report those gay stories, in the mean time I guess we should just use the same one as the pedo story link? *hint hint*

All sarcasm aside i am 100% against censorship and while I agree that private sites should have the right to choose the content they provide they should also take into account the wishes of their consumers.

I count myself among the many that will flee this site once the censorship comes into full swing and that is a bit sad because many of us did really appreciate and enjoy this site.

I hope that the writes that have their hard work spat at won't be too discouraged and that their work will pop up elsewhere. Don't let the hatred of a few intellectually challenged individuals make you believe that there weren't just as many silent sickos that appreciated your contributions.

It would be nice if the site administrators would explain the need for the change, that is if they think their loyal consumers deserve an explanation.

And as always I would like to point out that this change will have very little positive outcomes, while it may appease a few peoples moralistic views of society. On the negitive side you are removing an outlet for pedophile to vent their sexual frustrations, now of course they will be forced to find other outlets let us hope that they are just as legal. Then again it's no longer our problem, how could we possibly be held accountable of anything as complicated as cause and affect? As long as we don't see it our morals will hold true, hahahahahahahahaha.

No really Kay and others like her think that degenerates like me would be crying but I can't help laughing.

 

Though I was working on a submission (non-paedo I assure you) for this site. I will have to post it elsewhere because of the current censorship frenzy. What has happened here is a shame... even if I'm not sure what (if anything) has happened here.

You dealt with it factually and with humor. VG. I was infuriated and reacted accordingly because I don't allow anyone to dictate to me. When I stated that I'd take my stories and leave, I meant it. There are several of us looking for another site and others who are looking into setting up a new one where this kind of crap will never happen. Our header will proclaim that anyone who complains about the content of our stories will be removed from our membership roles so that they can no longer be offended.... or annoy us.

There are several genres in XNXX that are objectionable to me. I don't go to them but I've never once said a word against them because I know that they wouldn't be on the site if there wasn't an audience for them.... the same as for pedophilia stories, which are clearly objectionable to Emily23XXX, 33Blacknshym, SpecialKay and a few others... plus a few more who encourage them. What will they do when the newest gang steps up and gets THEIR fetishes banned? What a pack of dopes. They're not intelligent enough to think that far ahead.... but it WILL happen... and then they'll be seeking the justice that they now so eagerly deny. Who will there be to defend their rights? Not us because we'll be already gone. I've gotten several PM's of support from people who don't write in the pedo genre who think this whole thng is WRONG. They're worried that their genre will be NEXT.
