Okay, I still think Jeff bridges should have got it. Never mind though Firth is a great actor.

 

I thought Jeff Bridges deserved the win. He was magnificent. But I'm not going to complain about Colin Firth, who is always good, in any role.

 

I want to see that movie. Colin Firth's a great actor!!!

 

Steven Spielberg is presenting the Oscar for Best Picture. They have 10 nominees now. That's just nuts.

It got 4 Oscars total. If you want to go see it in the theater, go see it soon. Miramax is going to cut a scene where Colin Firth drops too many F bombs and got it an R rating.

 

So, now that it's over, what did everybody think of James Franco and Anne Hathaway as hosts?

I liked her, thought she did a great job, was funny and seemed comfortable. James Franco seemed a little stiff and uncomfortable. Thoughts?

Oh, and I was a little disappointed that there were no train-wreck outfits this year.

 

Well I am happy with the British win, but I thought the new True Grit and Jeff bridges were magnificent, the best film I have seen in a long while.

 

I think they did fine. Choosing them meant that they were only as good as their material. There were plenty of good movies this year, but I don't think there were any that grabbed people by the throat like some years, so I doubt that this will be a highly rated show compared to years past. And everybody can't be Billy Crystal.

 

I agree! I've always liked Anne ever since she was in Princess Diaries. I'm not too familiar with his work though.

Kirk Douglas is 94 years old.

 

James Franco is a chameleon and not hard on the eyes either. He's not afraid to portray gay characters (3 roles). He's even smart! He published a collection of short stories (Palo alto) and he's working on his PhD in English at Yale. He paints too.

Sad that Winter's Bone didn't win anything, but since its entire budget was probably less than the budget for the trailers of the other films it never really had a chance.

 

i watched just a clip of it.. the best support actress, and i must say the presenter was funny... i dont know him though? who is he btw?

 

They should've hired Ricky Gervais, he was so good at the Golden Globes
