For a non-shared toy like a dildo or butt-plug, olive oil would probably be excellent. When actually fucking someone in the ass, you really should use a condom, and oil based lubricants can destroy condoms during the time yoo're screwing, so something like astroglide would be the better alternative.

vaseline is alright, but KY Jelly or Astroglide is far better and you it's easy to find in any pharmacy, CVS, Walgreens. etc.
