I think his best were under Richard Bachman, my favorite of those was "The Long Walk", that would be a great movie, but they always seem to screw his up somehow.

 

Surely you don't include 'The Shining' ?

That one is not included. If I read the book and really enjoy it, I just can't watch the movie, they screw them up so badly.

I agree with this, almost eveytime a book gets turned into a movie, the book is so much better

The book was ALOT different from the movie. In the book his mom gets killed on Mars and he runs into his dad after his dad joins the military.

Speaking of unknown King-based movies...anybody ever seen 'Thinner' or 'Apt Pupil'?
eh, didn't hate them, but they weren't as good as the books? And I think 'The Dark Half' was turned into a movie to, but I've never seen it. One you may not know about is the 'Langoliers' (the sp may be off lol). SK is a great writer, my all time fav.

 

It's that language thing again Zy....'shite' is another way of saying 'shit' over here, usually used to describe something that is rubbish or just no good.

It is really good. Everything King has done is most exceptional. I would tell ya, get the GUNSLINGER series. King started them when he was nineteen, he just finished the last one. You will remember these books.

 

I haven't gotten into that series, but I have loved every book of his that I have read so far

 

I've read all of Stephen King's books except for two. IT is one of my favorites along with THE STAND. The Gunslinger series was great, too.
