I am old enough to remember when a woman shaving her pussy was seen as transgressive and provocative, but that stopped being true a couple years before people started to freak out about Y2K and shaved pussy became something that women had to do. Till around 1998 I used to just trim my bush maybe once in two months or so.

When shaving first started to become common, anti-sex activists created an imaginary connection to pedophilia. These people claimed that to like shaved pussy was to reveal your inner fetish for fucking little girls. It wasn’t presented as an argument; more a self-evident truth.
All our talks about sex are defined by shame, and switching one kind of shame for another gets us nowhere.

Not sure why but I found the question interesting and decided to look a bit further into female shaving. In the US, the fairly universal practice of shaving pits and legs is traced back to 1915 when Max Sennet demanded his female actresses shave for his movies. Young girls began to copy the practice and it has become the norm.

In Europe, the practice is not as widespread but is now the norm due to US influence. The same seems true in Latin America (personal observation).

We're on a porn forum here. So most of us will have been influenced (to varying extents) by what we see in pornography.
Just consider some of the other things that are now considered "normal" and that we discuss here ad infinitum. A lot of that stuff was rarely seen a generation ago.

So lately, full, natural, pubic hair has almost become a 'fetish' thing and in the minority.

Personally, I have no problem with pubic hair. I often let mine grow out. But I'm not overly hairy, so it would never get to the extent of some of the photos (usually shown by the anti-hair brigade).

But my choice is to leave a bit on top. I've shaved it completely before but I don't like how it looks. I to see a bit of hair when I look down.

I think a trimmed bush is sexier than a totally shaved one.

I think it is all just a matter of personal prefferance. Some women That I know say it makes it more sensitive to touch while being completely shaved or waxed. Others just like to have it trimmed or even the full bush. Me I like it neatly trimmed or completely free of hair.
