I wish I had links to provide in support, but I think the most accurate/well conducted studies have the average closer to 5.25 than 6.

Survey's aren't accurate because, like on this site, guys exaggerate their size.

Most studies where guys volunteer tend to not be very accurate either. Smaller guys, or those who feel they are below average, tend to not participate, while the opposite holds true for those who are/feel they are average or above. The results, therefor, aren't accurate.

Woman aren't a good judge of what's average (a guy's size) either because body type, circumference and other factors hinder the ability to guess what a size is.

Throw in that a lot of guys and their lovers don't even know how to properly measure lenght and...

I read a post by a male nurse on this topic once (wish I would have saved it) and he said he had seen thousands of penises over the course of his career. Part of his job was to affix something to the penises, and these things that i can't remember the name of came in different sizes, so he had years worth of data with specific measurements...

I also read an article concerning a medical study on deceased men (wish i would have saved that one too) and the data collected from that...

Both said that the average was in the 5.25 range.

I think when you look at teh surveys and the studies, and factor in the fudging of sizes given adn the smaller guys not participating, 5.25 seems pretty accurate to me.

Regardless of that, women, like men, come in different shapes and sizes too. What large for one woman, is small for another and vice versa. We all have a match(es) out there, the farther away you are from average (on either side of average), the harder it is to find a match, is all. We all, though, have matches so try not to fret about it.

As for calling it an uninformed answer the poster was stating what she had seen or heard of in MEDICAL STUDIES. Those tend to be some of the most informed studies done.
