Christians have an edge of less than 10% over Islam, a religion that shares the same God, but worships in a totally different way. More importantly, there are about 7 billion people on the face of the earth, those who devotedly follow their Christian religious beliefs are but a tiny percentage of the 2 billion who claim that religion, making the devote a very small part of the overall population.

Yet, most atheists and sectarians in here act like they are being overrun by Christian wackos.

Well let's see, instead of doing anything to create jobs or help the economy the conservative/Republicans/Tea Baggers in congress are going to hire a private practice $900 per hour lawyer to sue the Obama Administration for refusing to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act. We've got the same conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers trying to reverse the decision to end Don't Ask, Don't Tell. We've got the same conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers still trying to outlaw abortion. And now we've got the same conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers screaming that Obama is not enforcing obscenity laws.

I find that most christians cherry pick the good bits, or even haven't read the damn thing, much worse is the televangelist, how can anyone still believe that sales pitch, I've heard of blind faith but dumb faith? You must be as dumb as a brick to fall for that spiel.

Actually it's usually the ones that teach science that test those theories. In fact, since you specifically brought up "teaching"... science in academia is all about research. Students do research. Faculty does research. You act as if somebody comes up with a theory out of his or her respective ass, then nobody bothers to check their work. If somebody could prove a scientific theory incorrect, it'd make their career

 

Science can't explain life nor can it explain why the compass points north.

We are all lost souls just finding a way to explain stuff but some stuff is just to awesome & unbelievable that science just cannot explain.

We are a young race of living beings, it will take more time.
