Just curious if someone knows the laws for Wisconsin regarding age and sexual activity. I'm 18 and had a girl who was 17, just curious if I did anything Illegal.

 

I'm not an expert on age laws...but i dont think you did anything illegal. 18 is a tricky age...did you two go to the same school? because i'm pretty damn sure that if you did its legal

once again don't quote me on any of this...however theres a site out there that defines the age laws...i forget it but you could probably google it or something

It's considered statutory rape in Wisconsin. The age of consent is 18.

I would check a little deeper because some states also include an age differential into the formula.
So if there is a two year differential the age of consent may be 18 but you will not be committing a crime doing it with a 16 yr old. This also goes that a 16 yr old would be charged as a sex offender if he has sex with a 13 year old.

It looks like the age for Wisconsin is 18 right across the board!

 

typically states have a little wiggle room

in california, the age window is 3 years, so a 16 year old could ahve sex with a 19 year old.

so your state may have that.

 

Somebody needs to explain to me why it is that it's okay for a 18-year-old to have sex with a 16-year-old, but it's not okay for a 40-year-old to have sex with a 16-year-old. Isn't that, like, age discrimination?

 

With a three year gap they can be considered part of the same peer group. Otherwise how can the senior guys score with the freshman girls. Holding a hard fast rule could really screw up your senior year in High School.

A 40 yr old hitting on a 16 year old is a generation apart and theoretically able to corrupt the youth.

i agree...whoever decided that 18 was the clear line for people to have sex...definetly had something wrong with them

well, she lives with her grandparents, basically cuz her dad is fucking crazy, and her grandma warned me that if he wanted to, he could get people in trouble, and that he's done it before. I know it could be a scare-tactic, but talking to my girlfriend, I dont think it is. thats why im worried. and btw, everything is consensual.
