  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

I can't speak for all liberals or anyone except myself but the reason I blame the conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers is because they richly deserve it in my opinion and I fight the lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this country everyday because as we can clearly see its get people killed.

Also do you see any of those conservative/Republican/Tea Baggers from around that part of the country stepping up the the microphones and saying "keep your no good federal aid and FEMA, we don't need no stinking federal help"?

No I didn't think so. But that's because in order to be willing brainwashed you also have to keep those blinders on tight.

Asshole that I am it looks like someone else would have mentioned that there has to be something tragically wrong with the 1,500 people still missing, because that's either just an unprecedented number of causalities or there is some serious breakdowns in communication and organization. And admittedly in some measure I'm sure its both but this is a very different kind of number than I've seen before. And I guess I just don't want to believe that many people might have been killed.

But there are lots of tornado warnings for tonight from Oklahoma to Ohio.

I read a news story about that about an hour ago. It said that many of the people are probably with relatives or away and haven't seen the notices wondering about their whereabouts. I'll go see if it's still on yahoo...

And Lioness I could so very easily be wrong about this but just to me there is something wrong with that big of a data gap for this amount of time.

It just seems out of place in this day and age.

I heard on a news piece about an hour ago that the Joplin authorities have downgraded the amount of people missing, though they wouldn't say by how many.

Part of the thinking is that the tornadoe hit on a saturday they're hoping a lot of the missing went away for the weekend.

Thanks for the update. To me at least just the 125 deaths they've confirmed is staggering. I can't imagine a death reaching 1,000.

Actually I'm seeing the same thing right now but can't figure out if its the Joplin officials delaying releasing new information or fucking CNN just using it as a teaser.

CNN just announced the revised total of missing people in Joplin is now 232. That's still a scary number in my mind and I'm still hoping its not that bad.

I don't know if it's the city government of Joplin, the county government Joplin is in, or the whole state of Missouri but they seem like they're in some kind of time warp when it comes to coming up with accurate and timely figures and now have a procedure for identifying bodies that is moving at a snails pace. I think they are headed for real trouble and a lot of short comings in someone's emergency management capabilities and plans are about to be exposed.

And this could just be me I suppose but that just seems so juxtaposed to our data and disaster oriented society that I think it reveals some kind of gaping hole in their ability to respond to disasters or an entrenched dysfunction that had reached deadly levels.

Bush got chastised by the press and the libs, for showing up late in Louisiana, after Katrina, especially when he just did fly by in Air Force One.

Obama is overseas drinking beer in Ireland and sharing $1700 bottle of wine with the queen, and has not said a word about the devastation and the climbing numbers that have died after this natural disaster.

Now mother fucker, you want to tell me that the left and the press is not in bed together?

Where's the chastising of Obama from the press and the left?

What a stupid and callous statement, hundreds dead, towns wiped out, communication obliterated and you think that something might be wrong? For God's sake man, the area was devastated, emergency workers were going 24h straight, hospitals were wrecked and the power was out. Yet you think that they could have been prepared for that? Try to face reality, instead of your liberal la-la land.

Not to mention,, it was an F-5 tornado that hit that town.

Can any area be prepared fully for those unfortunate situations?

First, Ace the mainstream press is hampered by the fact they have to basically tell the truth and relate the facts instead of just telling Obama bashing lies like you're doing right here.

One, because the president of the US has a few more responsibilities than just photo opportunities at natural disasters where he could have prevented that tornado if he was standing on mainstreet. President Obama is really not the messiah you guys like to pretend he should be.

Besides that's what homeland security and FEMA is for and they are performing admirably by all reports I've seen including helping the local officials get their emergency management efforts more accurate and efficient.

Second the trip was scheduled far in advance, has critical issues and matters of importance to the US, and could not be rescheduled.

Third, you and your sources are just plain lying fuckers Ace when you try to claim president Obama has showed no concern nor said anything. And he will be there tomorrow.

Yeah, well do you think cutting another $1.5 Billion from Homeland Security and FEMA is going to help that preparedness? I sure as fuck don't.

GOP Cuts Disaster Preparedness Funds By $1.5 Billion

Having ANY president at the scene of a disaster just gets in the way of relief efforts. Will Obama's presence make FEMA or the Red Cross work more efficiently? No! I felt the same way about Bush after Katrina.

Ya'll need to quit bickering over what was the cause of it. Either help out or shut up and live your life. Missouri got it hard over the last month or so if you think of it. STL airport shut down on Good Friday, Joplin got it with this, then just the other day KC was hit with 17 reported tornadoes that touched down, but that storm system continued to STL and had up to CD sized hail in the area.
