See if two individuals make an account as a couple that's not really a sock is it? But if one couple makes multiple couple accounts what other reason do they have if not to fool people?

Absolutely. Hell I make my fair share of bullshit statements myself around here. But that's not the same as making some statement under one account and then coming back in another identity agreeing with the statement the same person made.

Also what we're really talking about isn't just posting. I think its a legitimate complaint for multiple socks to start multiple threads where if you knew who that was you'd know you'd already decided to ignore them.

Nothing's perfect and maybe it wouldn't be fool proof. But I'll tell you what it would be that it ain't now. Its be against the rules to create multiple accounts instead of something that's tolerated if not encouraged by the administration and moderators.

Exactly. In fact as it is now multiple trouble making socks are more or less encouraged.

Writing strictly from another technical point of view, when I had a t1 line in house, I had access to 256 ip addresses. By running my own mail server, I had access to an unlimited amount if email addresses. It would be technically difficult to pull off, given that cookies are useless because of the easy way they can be defeated. When ipv6 becomes widespread, it will really be impossible to regulate because everything will start getting assigned an ip address. Refrigerator, toaster, electric tooth brush. Toilet might be going a bit too far, but I bet it will happen. There will probably be an app for it too.

 

What if said socks were not created for the sole purpose of malice, but simply the horrifying affects of schizophrenia? The originator of the initial account would be clueless of the socks existence. This is merely an opinion, but the voices in my head took a vote and thought it a 'good idea' to express this observation.

If you wanted to flood this forum with sock accounts via proxys that would be easy but require some effort. Surely we are talking about people with low intelligence that just want to troll the site.

I've been "given" a few accounts over the years (yep, some folks out there are that dumb ) - and I've had a little bit of mischief with them, but the calls for outright banning of all alter-egos in a place like this sounds downright silly. Think about the kind of environment you're suggesting to police! Hey, you know what? I think it would be good if XNXX allowed us to make one name change. You wouldn't have to create new accounts to get new names and that would mean fewer alt accounts. :rose:

People that make a new account to distance themselves from an old "handle" aren't the problem as I see it , whereas the one's with the "bi-polar brainfart" are .
