Are you asking for opinions or the law? Use the 5 S's. Shout, show, shove, shoot (warning shot) and Shoot (to kill). Shout at them to leave you the fuck alone, show your weapon, shove them back, fire a warning shot, and if they still threaten, shoot 'em. Obviously, skip to where you NEED to be, don't get yourself killed, but if you just start shooting you're probably gonna end up in more legal trouble than if you don't.

That's why I say to skip to whatever force is necessary. If you're getting hit and you feel like your life is in danger, fire away! Basic escalation of force.

That's fine, everyone has their opinions. That's how I've been trained and it works for me. Gotta just use your best judgement in the situation. Bottom line is I've never been there so I can't say I'd do this and that. Well, not in the states at least. If someone's reaching into their damn pocket and you have reason to believe they're going for a gun, time to fire. Turns out there was nothing there, but you felt like your life was in danger.

I don't use a bible, but unlike the poster below you, I believe the cowards are the ones that use the advantage of numbers or weapons, albeit rocks and boards to assault someone.
