I don't think her point was that we are all FULL of insecurities, but more along the lines that none of us are 100% secure in everything about ourselves. You don't really go around telling people "I'm prefect" do you? And just because someone looks perfect on the outside that doesn't mean they aren't struggling with issues on the inside.

 

Oh, I'm sure everyone does or has struggled with something... I know that I have. If the message is in fact what you claim that it is then consider it noted. :rose:

 

I do cry like a child at times. I do so when I feel hurt. Who doesn't? Haven't you ever cried? I'm sure that you have. It's nothing to be ashamed of. It's a normal healthy response to emotional pain. You aren't an Ice Queen are you? I don't think that you are. I'm sure that even you have a heart and a soul.

I do not however run and hide. I simply don't have the time to respond to every negative post directed at me. That would be a full time job. I admit that I deserve some of the criticism, but not all of it.

I apologize for the crude nickname that I gave you in an earlier post. I don't expect you to accept my apology, but I'm still sorry. I really feel bad about it. I posted the comment in a moment of pain and anger. It was a lack of impulse control on my part. I think we have all been guilty of that at one time or another.

Why did you only reply to a negative post and completely ignore curiousgirl's positive post to you? You ranted about her breaking your friendship for no reason and when she tells you she had no intention of "unfriending" you and no idea that it had even happened, you give no reply at all?

Maybe if you had made that a public message of apology the rest of us could see you in a more positive light. It would be in your own benefit to make your positive talks with women just as public as all your negative comments have been.

 

Public apologies tend to backfire in this forum. Some people refuse to accept the gesture. Others see it as a weakness or opening for attacks or criticism. There are a lot of mean spirited people here. I learned that the hard way. I chose to apologize to her in private. I believe that I did the right thing.

 

I don't think you realize how mean spirited you appear. Sure, a long, and I'm assuming, heartfelt private apology was appropriate, but a small public gesture would have helped your image with the rest of us.
