I say make all federal government stepdown or get overthrown, with the exception of the us marshals . they dont seem as corrupt as the rest. make the whole country one state, all laws the same and do a sales tax on everything but food and get rid of the irs.

I disagree that the elections are rigged. Most elections happen without any incident or drama. The problem is with the people who refuse to vote new people into office. I would try running but I hate fundraising and I'm too busy trying to keep my bills paid.

BUT.
It's not just people not voting.
It's not just voting for new people.
It's the fact that the process only allows already bought and paid for politicians that each party decides will be our new leaders.
Until there's a clean sweep with new, intelligent prospects that lobbyists, corporations and special interest groups don't already have their claws firmly imbedded in, there simply won't be any change.
Originally the Tea Party had the right idea in demanding change but unfortunately it was taken over by fanatics that have created a whole new bag of miseries.
A thought would be for there to become a third party that would actually represent the people for a change.
The thing is that we now live in a society where we fear the government which is opposite of what a democratic society should experience. The people shouldn't fear the government, instead the government should fear the potential wrath of the people if it should become unjust or incompetent.
It's funny that in Europe if there are government activities where the people firmly disagree, they take to the streets in mass with national general strikes. The people generally win.
In North America people just bitch and complain. Even our unions can't get their act together for mass demonstrations. Until the people rise up in a unified voice for change, big business, foreign interests and corporate manipulation will continue to be the rule of law.
The environment will continue to be trashed, safe drinking water will become a thing of the past and security of person will be a distant memory.
