"What do you mean by flame wars?"

I was googling for "Internet Forum In-Fighting" that is so pervasive here, and it came up with a definition from Wikipedia. Here it is.

"Flaming" from Wikipedia:

Flaming, also known as bashing, is hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users.

Flaming usually occurs in the social context of an Internet forum.

It is frequently the result of the discussion of heated real-world issues such as politics, religion, and philosophy, or of issues that polarise subpopulations, but can also be provoked by seemingly trivial differences.

Deliberate flaming, as opposed to flaming as a result of emotional discussions, is carried out by individuals known as flamers, who are specifically motivated to incite flaming.

These users specialize in flaming and target specific aspects of a controversial conversation, and are usually more subtle than their counterparts.

Their counterparts are known as trolls who are less "professional" and write obvious and blunt remarks to incite a flame war, as opposed to the more subtle, yet precise flamers.

Some websites even cater to flamers and trolls by allowing them a free environment.

These are often referred to as "Flame-Wars."

In regards to Sherlock....in my opinion no. I didn't like it. It was just mostly action pack with some regular deduction skills here and there. I wanted to see some uncanny ability that makes you go wtf and impressed at same time. Too many slow motion scenes in the movie. Sherlock holmes did to the books like the Mission Impossible sequels did to first movie.

In case the second film is out I was referring to the first one. I don't go to movie theatres

 

The problem is audiences expect all the bells and whistles in movies and Hollywood caters to a mass market and so often stories and subtlty in text is lost in CGI and special effects..I havent seen either, we dont go to the Movies either..its so expensive and we prefer to see them at home where we can relax and just be comfortable..
