There are foods you eat that you just know are bad for you...meat pies, sausages, burgers from fast food stores...I just don't think about the ingredients...

 

MCdees totally makes me sick if i eat any of it's meat. Also any meat except boneless chicken breasts, extremely lean fresh off the farm beef, and sometimes a steak makes me sick.

A little annoying though....I love eating instant masshed potatoes...not because they taste like potato but because they have a weird flavor I like.

I worked in a supermarket for almost 15 years, and over time observed that the sections that offer the healthiest foods are primarily on the perimeter of the store,ie,produce, FRESH meat,and dairy. Frozen foods are loaded with preservatives,and canned-processed foods are loaded with unpronounceable shit.

I steer clear of anything that is in cans or comes frozen(I will indulge in ice cream now and then, but it has to be organic).

I pretty much steer clear of fast food joints, but I will eat at those that use only fresh foods,but those are normally Mom and Pop operations..Dixie Burgers are some of the best I have eaten,but they are available only at a local drive in, one of a kind.
Eat healthy and smart.

You're wrong there,here in OZ Mcdonalds does have a range of healthy food it's been given the tick of approval by the heart foundation,as for it being cheap I'm unable to say as I don't/never have never will eat the shit.....People eat there because it's convenient.

I support Jamie Oliver in his crusade to fix the dire food available to kids in our schools. I know he genuinely means well and believes with his heart that he is doing the best for the health of people. But I have his recipe book and have seen his shows, his food is tasty, but it is hardly what I would describe as healthy.

By all means campaign and tell people the harm that can come from what they are eating, but it is not necessary to have laws imposed by the government. We are not a nanny state, and if people want to eat something as unhealthy and as untasty as Big Mac, he shouldn't be able to have any impact on our rights to eat that crap.

Soon there will be taxes on soda, and anything that has minute amounts of saturated fat. Screw that.

Another additive is tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), a form of butane. Speaking of which, did you know that store bought free range chicken contains significant amounts of DHMO? DHMO (Dihydrogen monoxide) is one of the primary compounds responsible for climate change, It can be fatal if inhaled. It is found in tumors of cancer patients. Perhaps more frightening, it is used as a coolant and an industrial solvent, it is also one of the most corrosive substances found outside of a lab.

 

See, people think a company like McDonald would intnetionally add somehting to their food that would harm their customers. That doesn't make any sense.

Course, you read how many calories a Big Mac, fries, and shake have in them and you realize, one sitting in McDs and you have to stop eating for a week or get fat.

Same is true of a lot of fast food places.

But, bad as the shit sounds, and even looks that gets added to our food, they ain't gonna intentionally try to poison you. That just doesn't make any sense.

 

Just like tobacco companies would never produce a harmful product and market it to people for profit, right?

Consumer history is absolutly packed full of thousands upon thousands of cases where companies have knowingly and willingly marketed harmful, dangerous and defective products to the masses for profit and fought hard in court to be allowed to continue marketing these potentialy deadly and dangerous products in spite of having full and complete knowledge of the harms and dangers of these products. All in the name of profit.

Pharmaceutical companies have an especialy bad record of marketing harmful products under the word "medicine" in an effort to extract as much money from the consumers as possible. And they have not only harmed thier consumers but done it under the banner of "helping and healing" thier customers.

Doesnt make sense? Seriously? Wow! There is a sucker born every minuet and you are one of them.
