I don't mean to criticize or insult any writers on this forum or site, but after reading so many of these stories it seems like they don't differ that much. some details change here and there, but the same basic structure of what happens and what the characters say seem to be repeated in almost every story i read here. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this trend and would like to discuss ways to keep these stories fresh and original.

well most stories are about incest, fine that's a genre. but if it is son n mom, then the dad has been dead for a few years, he never noticed his mom sexually but now does, or has always been obsessed with her. some how she sees his dick, mostly caught masturbating, or finds out he is attracted to her and then she has to fuck him. this is the basic structure of many stories on this site.

Try reading the Alexis series (2 seasons!) or "Double Your Pleasure". No incest at all. :excited:

Also, if you go to the stores site, rather than just read forum posts, you can pick whatever genre you want. Just steer clear of incest and you'll be happy

 

Perhaps you could write an original story yourself and lead by example.

 

I don't read many of the stories in the forum, I much prefer the sex stories site which allows you to pick genre. I have however noticed that sex stories follow a similar template; in all forms of writing you have a beginning, a climax and an ending. But in sex stories I think some more detail to this template can be added beginning (lusting), climax (fucking), ending (regretting/reminiscing).

 

Read some of the entries in the Calling All Writers 10 contest and I think you will see several stories that have little to do with any template.

 

You might enjoy my first story I wrote on here "The Capture of my Heart" its has a nice long build up to the sex scene that doesn't fit into what you have been seeing.

There are a lot of great stories on here and on the site, if you have a preference to what you enjoy the site does have the option to choose your own genre.

 

Perhaps you need to widen your reading....... try horrer, no because the stories have a similar pattern there too........ romance, no same problem.... travel we at least maybe there is an unusual one there.

If all you're finding is incest on the Sex Stories Site, then you are not reading the tags correctly. I've only written one story with incest, and that was an act between sisters.

Read BlackRonin for something outside the box.

 

Or read Ejls' story about two members here who met and fell in love. The lady right above this post. It won a writing contest here just a short while ago. As someone suggested, read the various CAW entries.

 

I don't consider myself a writer of erotica/porn, although I have written a few in the beginning to get a reader base. I am more known for my gothic and supernatural action/adventure stories and novels (earned me the playful nickname of 'Queen of the Supernatural' by a few of my fellow writers). Try widening your search on the story site. There are a ton more stories out there than just incest, and many talented writers who weave a tale that would stand on its own even without the sex scenes.

 

I have a few brother-sister stories and one of obsession I wrote for another member that are all original. They've gotten quite a few hits and good comments.

 

Read my story "Love Forever" it's a quickie... and it's not what you expect... or hell any of my stories really... some of them are quasi formulaic like your complaining about... but not really I try to wander away from that path...

 

Incest IS one of most popular story tags.

I'll grant the OP that. But mother/son incest is definitely no more popular than daddy/daughter or brother/sister.

There are over 110 different story theme tags to sort by on http://stories.xnxx.com/. These are assigned by the writer, not the readers, mods, or admins. Many writers use these to help readers find stuff they might like and to avoid stuff they won't. I have 34 stories over there myself (http://stories.xnxx.com/account/). Only 7 of them contain incest. Some writers do a higher percentage than I do, while others wouldn't touch the subject under any circumstances.

People have been posting stories here for 8 years. Almost 9000 writers have submitted stories that are currently on the site. Many wrote a single story. Others are more prolific. 80 of us have submitted 40 or more stories, and a few dedicated perverts have over 100. Our most prolific writer, fbailey (http://stories.xnxx.com/profile67590/fbailey) has 729 different stories over there! I'm not good on estimating, but it all multiplies out to a HELL of lot of stories.

Use the search tags the next time you have a few hours to spend on reading, and let us know how it goes.

 

If you're looking for original, may I humbly suggest a couple of mine: The Chair, and Backyard Princess. You could also try Ghostly Consummation, although I'll admit I don't think it's as good as most of my stories.

All of these involve at least a hint of science fiction or fantasy, so if that's not your thing, you might not enjoy them so much. But fantasy and sci-fi are the realm of originality, after all.
