I see lots of pics from body paint events, but wonder if anyone has done just a "private" thing? Just you or ur gf, in public with just her in body paint.
I would love to try that. Paint my gf up and walk along park path? Walk along road.

Liquid latex is the kind of body paint that can be used for that.

 

Yes, have done such a number of times for various events where people are dressed in that "legally" you are covered (though must be opaque), though if push came to shove it can get argued either way in court so can be risky......Naturally it helps if you're around a crowd that will receive it well.

Anywho, certain Tempera and Water Color paints were the old standards, now some latex based paints are used, and there are even paints of many makeups manufactured just for this purpose. What you have to be careful about are three things. Alergic reactions and toxicity, also longevity as some paints will stain the skin, lastly removal as you don't want what it takes to remove it to be toxic.

Also don't forget certain glues and other materials can be used. Glitter, rhinestones, feathers, fur, dirt, sand....you name it. If the glue sticks to skin and also to the media it will work.

The real trick is really planning it out as in what is the end goal or intended look.....Also a bit of creative thinking in how to make it happen. As an example, one time I was painted up to look as though I was wearing blue jean capri's and a tight mesh top. The trick was to paint the primary color first, then overpaint through a fabric with the pattern you wanted with a darker color....What that did was make where the holes were (say in the mesh) show darker so added depth........Basically, exactly the opposite of how you'd think to paint it.
