Tis true. The United States of America was founded by illegal immigration, and has also been held up by it.

There was still plenty of illegal immigration occurring during the usage of Ellis Island. Illegal immigration in America has been fairly prevalent throughout the colonial, industrial, and modern era. So pretty much before and during the recognized sovereignty of this nation.

And as far as Native Americans go, they're just another group of people. The animals you mentioned went extinct far before the tribes we recognize most likely even existed. Also, while the animals were probably hunted down from their peak population, most of what cause ancient animals to become extinct had to do with environmental factors. Humans didn't help, but basically the earth killed them. And technically seeing how the earth his part of nature, they were still in harmony with it:excited:.

 

Quite a few independent movies are made that never get into movie theaters, and which are ignored by the critics. There is no conspiracy. They are poorly made, and unmarketable. It may be that ""They Come To AMERICA" fits into this category.

Well, well. I was joking about the mastodons, but you have me honestly intrigued.

Let's hear all about the illegal immigration of the early 20th century. Because, I gotta say it: I will never be surprised by the power of revisionism to amaze.

 

Until the Temporary Quota Act of 1921, and the Immigrant Restriction Act of 1924 there were few restrictions on immigration.

 

I'll admit there wasn't mass illegal immigration in the early 20th century, however there was still some. There was the ban on Asians entering the country for labor purposes as well as a ban on criminals entering the country. Later on in the 1920's (as DL has posted) there were two immigration laws passed basically restricting the amount of immigrants per country. Because of WWI and anti-semitism going on in in certain nations, there was clearly an immigration total that surpassed the legal limit allowed by the United States.

How long does a group of people have to be in a location to be considered natives? Is it once they have all the traits that their environment would cause the people to have or just a set amount of years? it is unreliable in that the original populace of tribal cultures in what is now america was as well the tribla populace of all world nations ate the time

but due to continental drift and the movement of masses and plates along natural tectonic lines the tribes were seperated into what we see today
at that time there were still mamade borders and boundrylines tribe fought to keep eachother out of their territory the same as we keep illegals out today

the idea of immigration laws is to slow the influx of people that will overbearingly tax the allowed populace and create a society that has no ability to sustain itsself

the US and most nations are overburdened with the care of illegal and even most legal immigrants
nations allow people in to supposedly fill voids in the labor needs but in doing so they eliminate jobs from legal and rightful people
its not enough just to pay taxes when you do not make enough to even rate in the overall tax pool
1 person paying in $200/year is nothing but 1 person getting away with paying $2000/year when their burden should be $200,000/year is rediculous
as is 1 person that is paying no taxes at all and is still benefiting form the freedoms and priviladges of being a tax paying citizen

we are paying for those that donot care about our country
we pay for illegal children to be educated, medicated, fed, and housed
we pay to incarerate them when they come here illegaly and when they commit crimes
but then then again being an illegal allien is a crime
the 1st illegal entry should garner a lifetime ban on re-entry

any bussiness owner found to be in the practice of hiring illegal laborers should be prosecuted, shut down, and never allowed to run a bussiness again
any school found to be educating llegals should be forced to remove the illegals from the student body immediately
any healthcare facility offering medical services to illegals should be immediately investigated and fined for using tax money to pay to offset the costs of treating the illegals

 

Documentaries rarely make it to the movie theaters. There just isn't a big enough audience for most of them. They do get picked up by cable networks though.
