Jane woke with a start. She lifted her head and slowly took in her surroundings. Long book shelves were in every direction. Memories flooded but to her and
she quickly looked at the large window and saw that it showed the purple light of dusk. Jane quickly closed the book she had fallen asleep on and picked up
the rest of her books before rushing to the taking out counter. Mr Longs sat on his chair reading lists of books. Jane stood until he slowly lifted his
wrinkled head and his blue eyes fixed on her through his thick glasses. Jane smiled politely before giving him her books. Mr Longs grumbled under his breath
and took his pen and wrote down each books that Jane wanted to take out.

After Mr Longs had written down each book Jane hurried home. She hurried through the streets towards the end of the road where her house was. With her long
blonde hair swishing from left to right as she ran. The books were heavy and Jane didnt dare to drop them. She burst through the front door and went to her
bed and put her books on her bed and quickly sprinted back out the door. Her dull dress was annoying to run in but she lived with it as she headed towards
the pub. Jane walked in and she was flooded with the smell of alcohol and sweaty men. All the men chatted happyily. Jane hurried to the bar and the barhead
frowned at her for being late. Jane said a quick apology before starting her shift as a waitress.

Later that evening Jane finished her shift and left the pub. Jane grinned and thought of her shift. She had felt Eddy's anger a few times when a few of the
men had squeezed her buttom or flirted with her. Jane didnt mind it but she knew Eddy loath it. Jane smiled at how Eddy had proclaimed her as "his". Jane
had been able to feel and talk with Eddy in her mind for as long as she could remember. Jane had never met Eddy but they had become close friends over the
years. Jane found Eddy extremely useful in her studies. Eddy seemed to know alot about the almighty dragons which helped her class. Jane never questioned
how Eddy knew some of the things fearing that he would stop helping her. Eddy would sometimes close the link so that Jane could only feel that he was
there. She would always wondered where he go. Jane found it also quite annoying how Eddy seemed to open the link just at the wrong moment and hear some of
her private thoughts. Eddy would sometimes chuckle or ignore it. Jane knew that he knew she was embarressed. This was quite annoying. She remembered when
she was at the pub and it had been one of those moments causing her to blush for no apparent reason.

Jane got to the house and walked in to her mother making supper. Jane gave her mom the copper coins she had earned at the pub. Jane's mom was a very plain
woman and she had never got married. Jane was not plain at all and was considered very beautiful well at least what she had been told. Jane was hoping on
this beautiful and her hard working to be able to be one of the chosen breeders for the Dragon Palace. Every spring a few girls and sometimes none are
chosen to go to the palace to be a breeder. Many girls have gone to the palace to try be the first in two hundred years to give birth to a dragon. Jane had
heard from her mother that alot had tried but to no avail. She was told that each girl who was chosen gets one chance and after that they become workers in
the palace which was an honour but far from being the one to produce dragon offspring. She was also told that some of the girls become crippled because of
the amount of internal damage. Those who become crippled become scholars in the palace library. This information had scared her but she strengthened her
resolve and said that she would take that chance.

Spring was in a few days and Jane had been studying nonstop so that she could answer the questions asked by the men who came from the palace to test the
girls. Jane hoped she was ready.

Jane jumped on her bed and lay down and picked up one of the old books she had taken out from the town library. Jane turned the first page and got engrossed
in reading it. Jane liked having Eddy there to help her. Whenever she didnt understand something he always knew the answer and would be able to help her.
The only time he seemed to close the link was whenever she mentioned the Dragon Queen Karyn.

After awhile Jane's mom announced dinner was ready so Jane closed her book and walked next to where her mother was. Jane scooped some soup for herself into
her bowl and her mother did the same. They both then ate the soup together. The soup was very watery but it was better than nothing. After supper Jane
helped her mother clean up.

Jane then headed to her room and started reading one of the many books she had taken out from the library. It spoke on the war between the dragons. It was
a great war where the dragons fought over who would rule the humans. One side wanted to live with a rule of terror and wanted to use the humans as food.
They were lead by Keal. The other side lead by the great golden dragon Edward the great. From what she had read he was a great leader and it was his plans
and intelligence that helped them win the war and they looked kindly on the humans and so there was peace.

Jane's mother went to bed and Jane continued reading. She got a thought and wanted to find an answer so she decided to ask Eddy. He always knew the answer.

"Eddy? are you there?" Jane waited for an answer. After a short while he responded.
" Yes I am here. Jane what do you need?" Eddys deep manly voice made it seem like he was right there.
"Well Do you know what happened to Edward the great golden dragon after the war? It doesnt say in any of the books. Im interested in him but there is so
little."
Eddys response took quite a while " No one knows where he went and those who do probably wont tell anyone." Jane was puzzled by his answer so she asked
another question " Eddy do you think the great golden dragon will return to the Dragon palace?" Eddy's voice resonated " I dont know. He might or might not
it depends on what happens" Jane decided to not ask anymore questions so not to confuse herself. Jane smiled politely even though he couldnt see it and
said " Thank you Eddy for the help." Eddy spoke " You are welcome. I am going to sleep now. Goodnight." Jane bid him goodnight and continued reading until
she fell asleep.

Jane woke to find it misty. The damp cloud were low blanketing almost everything in sight. Jane quickly headed to the library after her normal morning duties.
She found George sitting in the library reading. George was her friend who she had met because they both had the same interest in dragons and the dragons
palace. Men normally werent chosen for breeders because the female dragons never wanted to breed. Jane was confused by this and reminded herself to discuss
with Eddy. If men were choosen as breeders Jane knew withour a doubt that George would be choosen as one. George was reading a book on the oak table that was
in the middle of the library. Jane joined him with her books. George gave her his normal grin before returning to her book.

Around lunch time Jane left the library and went down the cobble streets until she arrived at the floristers shop. She went in and greeted Mr Pomp. Mr Pomp
was a very kind old man who had given Jane a job when her family really needed it. His hair was completely gray and he had a weathered face. Jane smiled and
thanked him when she gave her a sandwich for lunch. Mr Pomp always gave her a sandwich which was very helpful because otherwise she would not get any lunch.

Jane helped Mr Pomp with his flowers everyday and he paid her. After the job Jane went back to the library and studied as hard as she could. Spring was
quite close now and the people would come to Henaburg and choose the girls. Jane's birthday was also coming up. Jane wasnt very excited because it probably
would be a normal day. It wasnt like the day would be very different because it was her sixteenth birthday. Jane reminded herself to ask Eddy how old he
was. She called for him in her mind but no response came so she continued reading. After awhile she called again and still no answer. Jane thought hard
about Eddy and focussed her mind on him. Suddenly she heard noises that werent from around her. Actually everything around her seemed to be muted. Jane
listened to the noises and could hear a crunching sound and then a flutter of bats. Jane was surprised by how she could hear these sounds and she spoke in
her mind. " Eddy? Is that you?" The crunching stopped and Jane suddenly felt a pushing as if someone was pushing her away from their space. Eddy's voice was
much clearer and she could hear alot of emotion where before she had heard none. That emotion was anger "Jane. How did you get into my mind? Who told you
how?" Jane was confused and spoke " No one. I just wanted to find you so I could ask some questions." The anger seemed to die and his voice was soft in
answer " Ok thats fine what do you want to ask." Jane felt suddenly embarressed that she had gone into his mind and she asked her question " Eddy how come
the female dragons dont breed? " Eddy angered seemed to return " I really dont know." Jane had a feeling that he had left the sentence unfinished. She asked
the next question " Eddy how old are you?" Eddy emotion seemed be quietened and he spoke " Im am older than you. Next question?" Jane was surprised by his
forwardness and spoke " Eddy will I ever meet you? Im going to be leaving Henaburg for the dragon palace if I am choosen and probably spend the rest of my
life there and I heard its near impossible to get into the palace unless your a dragon." Eddy spoke " We will meet someday. So you live in Henaburg this is
the first time you have told me of this." Jane felt herself getting embarressed and she replied to him " Well I was a bit scared of you at first. Eddy what
were the sounds I heard earlier. The noise around me got dulled and I could hear other sounds." Eddy spoke " Yes you were hearing what I hear. I do it to
you normally. What you mean scared?" " Well you sounded very stern and I was scared I would anger you." Jane could feel confusion and she spoke " Well Eddy
I will talk to you later."

The world around her returned and George was calling her name. She turned to him. George looked worried and questioned her why she had become silent for
awhile. Jane said she was tired and quickly headed off to her house.

Jane had a short time before she had to go work at the pub and she was feelings tense. She just wanted to disappear for awhile. So Jane lay on her bed and
slowly closed her eyes. She decided to ask permission before and so she called Eddy name. Eddy response came in his normal greeting.
Jane spoke " Eddy do you think I can go into your mind for awhile. "
Eddy sounded curious " Why?" .
Jane smiled " Well it makes me feel relaxed. So can I?".
Eddy spoke " Sure. Go ahead."
Jane focussed on Eddy and soon the world around her disappeared and she was alone with Eddy. She could hear the distant sound of water dropping. Eddy's voice
came but it was much louder and clearer then she had ever heard. It also showed alot more emotion. Jane realised he was speaking. His voice echoed off into
the distance.
Jane decided to ask a question. " Eddy where are you?"
Eddy chuckled. It was deep and soothing. " Im living in a cave at the moment. Why do you ask?"
Jane was surprised by the answer " Eddy how can you live in a cave? If you are poor you can live in my house. We dont have much space but Im-"
Eddy calmed voice interrupted her. " Jane Im fine here. Thank you for your concern. So Jane tell me what you plan to do? You have such an interest in
dragons. For what reason?"
The question shocked Jane but she thought about and finally answered " Well I find them so interesting. I also am hoping to learn more at the palace. Being
the one to give birth to a dragon would be great but I dont think that will happen so I what to study in the palace library. I want to know what happened to
the dragons that lived many years ago."
Eddy laughed and this surprised Jane. It was a cheerful deep laugh and he spoke and Jane swore she could tell he was smiling " That very interesting. Why
are you going to take the chance to be crippled or die to learn about the old dragons? You might find nothing there. Have you tried to look else where?"
Jane had never really given that the palace would hold no helpful information but it was the only source of information. Jane told to this to Eddy and he
agreed. He spoke again " Jane I will meet you at the Dragon Palace when you are choosen as a breeder. "
Jane was very surprised by this news. " But Eddy what if I dont get choosen? and its near impossible to get into the Dragon Palace without allowance.
Dragons guard it and they have incredible eyesight."
Eddy chuckled " Jane trust me you will be choosen. I will be am to get in. I have connections. I will see you there. You will have to get going supper is
ready. " Jane unfocussed herself and returned to the real world. Panic came over her with Eddy's last words. She had missed her shift at the pub. She knew
this was Eddy's doing. He hated that she worked at the pub.

Jane got up and saw her mother making the normal supper. Jane apologized for missing work. Jane's mother just gave her a motherly smile and said it was fine.
Jane was gratful to have such a nice mother.

She slept well that night knowing spring was apon them the next day. Jane smiled herself to sleep.

The next day was the same as always. Jane woke from a good sleep, got dressed, ate a good breakfast and headed for the library. On the way she met Mr Pomp.
He gave her a big smile and spoke " Jane do you think you could come early today? I can pay you extra for your time. "
Jane nodded and spoke " When do you want me to come?"
He smiled and spoke " Can you come over now. If thats ok with you?"
Jane wanted to study some more because she was going to be tested soon but she knew her mother could use the extra money so she headed off to the florist's
shop.
He asked her to move some daisys and other flowers.
"Jane I heard that you have an interest in dragons. Is that true?"
Jane wondered where he had heard such a thing but since he was friends with her mother she would have probably told him and it was the dream of many girls in
this day and age. Jane smiled and nodded " Yes I am hoping to be able to study at the palace. Why do you ask Mr Pomp?"
He grinned " Well I also have an interest in them but I do not have the time to study in the library."
Jane grinned back " Mr Pomp would you like me to teach you?"
Mr Pomp smiled happyily and he spoke " Thank you very much Jane. I know a little. Can I ask you some questions?"
Jane nodded and so the questions came.
The first questions were very easy but gradiantly became harder until she had to ask Eddy for some of the answers. She was surprised that she still didnt
know everything. She had been studying for a long time.
After the questions Mr Pomp thanked her and she ate lunch before leaving for home with more money than usual.
She meet George on the way. He questioned her " Jane where have you been? I never saw you in the library." She smiled " I was teaching Mr Pomp about dragons.
" George's eyebrows rose " Did you manage to answer all the questions?" Jane nodded and George grinned widely. Jane said goodbye to him and she headed home.
Her mother wasnt there. Jane had a feeling she was at work. Jane hopped onto her bed and closed her eyes. She asked Eddy if she could go into his mind
again. He agreed and Jane left the noises around her and she heard the drop of water in the cave.
Eddy spoke " Jane when do you leave for the palace?"
Jane chuckled " Eddy I still have to take the test and pass that before I can go."
Eddy laughed loudly and spoke " Jane you humour me. Does the george person want to go to the palace aswell?"
Jane was surprised the question she had never thought to ask. " I suppose so. I have never asked. "
" Then I think it would be wise to ask him then he can also go to the palace."
Jane was surprised that Eddy cared. " Eddy why do you worry about George?"
Eddy's answer came after a little while " Well dont you like him?"
Jane was surprised by this and spoke " No he is just a friend. Why would you think that Eddy?"
Eddy didnt answer but asked antoher question " What am I to you?"
Jane didnt answer because she didnt know the answer.
Jane unfocussed herself and the world came flooding back. She didnt want to deal with Eddy so she focussed on pushing him away and it surprisingly worked.
Jane quickly went to the pub. The owner was annoyed that she had missed her shift and said she had to worked harder that night to make up for it.

Jane finished late and got her money before leaving the pub. On her way out a guy grabbed her ass. Eddy didnt respond he ahd been quite the whole night.
Jane walked along the cobble streets to her house. A lamp was lit in the house and she guessed her mother was home.
She was right. Her mother was home busy making the normal soup. She gave Jane a small smile. Jane returned it and then headed to her room. She was tired.
It had not been her day. She just wanted to escape but couldnt because of what Eddy had asked earlier. Jane had thought about it but couldnt come to a
conclusion. She liked Eddy but she didnt know him. Anything about him actually.
Jane ate her soup not tasting it at all. Well there wasnt much to taste anyway. She wondered if they could have something different to eat the next night.
Jane cleaned her bowl before going to her room and picking up one of her books.
It was about the Queen Dragon Karyn. It listed her fiece battles to defend side of the dragons. After her husband died in battle she didnt take another
and so they only had one son. Edward. Karyn was killed by a traitor in her side of the dragons. Edward took her place at the leader and so he became King of
the dragons. Edward never choose a mate and then disappeared out of the blue one of the days. All of the elder dragons that had survived the Great Dragon
war also disappeared. Leaving only the young dragons that are there now. There were about one hundred dragons left at the dragon palace.

After reading for a long time into the night. Jane decided on something and she called for Eddy. He responded sounding as if he had just woken up. Jane
ignored this and spoke " Eddy I have an answer. First you must let me into your mind."
Eddy hearing the news seemed to wake up and spoke " Ok". Jane focussed and the sounds of the night disappeared and the sound of the cave replaced it.
Eddy sounded impatient and spoke " And your answer is?"
Jane spoke " Well I thought about it. You are my very close friend Eddy. "
His large sigh was seemingly the only sound in the cave.
Jane ignored it and continued " I want it to be more but I dont know who you are. I know almost nothing about you. Your mysterious. Very."
Eddy chuckled " Yes I am. I agreed with that. You are wise Jane. I look forward to meeting you."
Jane was happy that Eddy and her were on good terms. An idea came to her " Eddy do you think I could sleep in your mind?" Jane chuckled with Eddy at how
strange it sounded. Eddy spoke " Sure. It cant harm anyone."
Jane smiled and spoke " Goodnight Eddy"
Eddy replied with a "goodnight" and they both drifted off to sleep.

Jane was standing on a green hill. Around her more hills seemingly went on for miles.
Far in the distance she could see a glinten of light. Jane watching it as it came closer. It slowing got bigger. It suddenly soared into the sky through the
clouds and was gone. Jane looked around and saw nothing.
The ground shook and Jane jumped as she looked to her right.
There stood tall a huge golden dragon. One of its eyes was focussed on her. Jane was in awe. This was Edward the Great Dragon. Jane didnt know what to do.
So she just stared into those eyes.
Jane felt as if she would be lost like a lamb without looking into those beautiful gold eyes. They seemingly bore through her. Seeing her core. The dragon
roared a roar that travelled far and wide. It was powerful and held authority. Jane watched as the dragon looked at her once more before flying away back
from which it had come.
Jane woke to someone calling her name and nudging her. It was her mother. She looked scared.
"Jane are you alright? I have been trying to wake you for a long time. Today is the day where they are taking the girls that choosen to the palace."
Hearing this Jane hopped out of bed and quickly got dressed into her best clothes. Only then did the sounds of everything around her come back. There were
alot of noises of carriages going past the house. Everyone was going to the town square for where the girls are choosen. There had been only a handful of
girls choosen over Jane's whole life and some years none had been choosen leaving many people disappointed.
After Jane was dressed she ate breakfast with her mother and they both headed for the town square. No one was working today because it was the day of
choosing.
Jane walked down the cobble streets in her dress with her mother at her side.
When they finally reached the square it was full of people. It wasnt a very big square because not many people lived in this area.
A man stood on a wooden platform that had been built for this occasion. Mr Pomp surprisingly was also on the stage along with a few other men. A crowd girls
from the surrounding villages or towns were in the bunch in front of the platform. The man called for silence with his hands and the chatter quietened until
it ceased. The man in the center of the stage wore robes and he spoke " Good day ladies and gentlemen. I have travelled from the palace to assist with the
choosing for the dragons. Could all the girls come to the front so that we can lead them away for testing. Some of the girls have already done this testing.
We have put quite a few testers into the different villages and towns. These are this honoured men." He motioned with his arm to the group of men that
Mr Pomp was standing with. Jane gasped. She had already been tested! Memory flashed back to her. George knew. He had asked her if she had answered all the
questions correctly. Jane grinned happyily and moved to the front.
The man on the platform lead them into the town hall. He stopped and turned to them " Those who have already been tested please go to your tester so that he
might announce if you passed or failed." Panic went through Jane. Maybe she had failed.
Jane headed to Mr Pomp. Another girl did the same. Jane smiled to her and the girl returned the smile.
Mr Pomp lead the two girls back to where the crowd was and took them onto the platform.
I am proud to say that Jane Tane has passed and has been choosen to go to the dragon palace." Jane grinned happyily and walked forward to Mr Pomp.
He smiled at her and spoke " Jane Tane do you accept this responibility to honour the dragons and to be loyal to them as long as you live?"
Jane grinning and spoke " Yes I do".
Mr Pomp was serious now " Jane what do you choose to be? "
Jane hated the choice she had to make. To be a breeder and if I didnt give birth become a scholar or just become a scholar.
Eddy voice boomed in her head " Eddy become a scholar if you become a breeder and you dont breed you became a slave to the palace for the rest of your life.
Trust me. Say scholar." Jane was shocked by this and wondered why he hadnt told her earlier. She was now confused and didnt know what to say.
Mr Pomp spoke " Jane what is your answer become a breeder or scholar?"
Jane was just going to choose a breeder and she would study if she didnt breed but the knew information from Eddy was scary and Eddy had never been wrong
before. Jane firmed her resolve " I wish to become a scholar." A large number of gasps came from the crowd.
Mr Pomp frowned " Jane are you sure?"
Jane nodded. Mr Pomp fetched a dull braclet. Jane knew about the scholars bracelet. It would choose the line of dragons the scholar would spend his or her
life studying. It would change colour to signalfy the line the scholar was studying.
Mr Pomp closed the bracelet around her wrist and it immediatially shone a bright gold. The colour of golden dragons scales.
Everyone gasped. Even Mr Pomp. Jane just grinned and moved to the side. Next to the girl.
Mr Pomp regained himself and spoke " Well it seems Jane has been choosen to study the Golden dragons. Weldone Jane" A few people were still too stunned to
clap. Mr Pomp smiled to her and she returned it.
Jane knew what the fact that it was gold meant. She would be studying Edward since he was the last golden dragon.
Mr Pomp silenced the crowd and spoke " I am proud to say that Anne Wanwood has passed and so will be going to the dragon palace." Anne walked forward
smiling and the crowd clapped politely for her.
Mr Pomp looked to her and spoke " Anne Wanwood do you accept this responibility to honour the dragons and to be loyal to them as long as you live?"
Her voice was like silk " Yes I do".
Mr Pomp continued " Anne what do you choose to be: a breeder or scholar?"
Anne grinned " A breeder". The crowd clapped for her. Mr Pomp fetched a bright pink braclet for Anne and closed it on her wrist. The crowd cheered for her
as she returned to Jane's side. Mr Pomp left the stage and they followed him as the next tester walked up with another girl.
Mr Pomp pulled Jane to the side as Anne walked to her parents. Mr Pomp seemed surprised.
" Jane I cant believe you choose to be a scholar but to be choosen by the Golden line so soon. I think you are made for great things."
Jane grinned and thanked him as he left. A thought came to mind and she stopped him " Mr Pomp do you think George can become a scholar?"
Mr Pomp turned and spoke " Im not sure Jane. I tested him and he passed but you must ask Sir Harold. I will fetch him for you." Jane said her thanks as he
left and waited for Sir Harold to come.
After awhile the man from earlier who had called them all forward. He spoke " Mr Pomp said that you need me? What for ? Im busy" Jane gulped and spoke
" Sir Harold since I have already been choosen to study the Golden line I was hoping you could allow my friend George to become a scholar. He has passed the
test that Mr Pomp gave him." Sir Harold seemed annoyed.
" Miss Tane do you think that just become you have been chosen for the Golden line that your special ? That your above me? Well you are not young lady. You
have yet to touch the surface of history that I swim freely in. I will test him myself. Where is this "friend" of yours?" Jane lead him to the library
where George would normally be. He wasnt there. Sir Harold seemed even more annoyed " Bring the boy to me by the end of the testing and I will test him."
Jane spoke " Yes Sir. Thank you." He walked off. Jane hurried searched for George.
He didnt seem to be anywhere.
Finally she found him amongst the crowd. He grinned and spoke " Weldone Jane you did it. I knew you did." Jane grinned but she didnt have time.
"George I managed to convince them to test you so that you have a shot at being a scholar." George's eyes grew huge and he spoke " You did what?"
Jane smiled " Hurry up." She dragged him along towards the hall. Sir Harold was walking out of the hall.
They caught up to him and Jane spoke " Sir Harold I have him. Can you please test him?" Sir Harold spoke " Im afraid not. You are too late."
Jane spoke " Please Sir Harold I beg you test him." Sir Harold looked smugly at her " Very well since Im such a great person. I will ask you one question."
George looked eagerly at him as he spoke " How did the dragon Karyn die?"
That was a easy one. Jane knew George it and he answered " She was killed by a traitor." Sir Harold grinned evilly " No that is incorrect. She died of a
disease from sleeping with any male she could get her hands on. She was a whore." Jane was annoyed she knew that was wrong. All the books said she was killed
by a traitor. She was wondering to ask Eddy when she suddenly felt a burning hatred and red hot anger coming from Eddy. He only manage a few words but she
knew he was furious. " What is his name!" Jane fearing Eddy's wrath quickly stopped Sir Harold as he was walking away " Sorry sir I am have not been honoured
by your name." He looked at her like dirt " Sir Harold Wither. Now I will take my leave."
George seemed distraught " Jane wasnt I right?" Jane nodded " Yes you were George but maybe the books are saying the wrong stuff. Im sure these a reason to
why he knew something we didnt." Eddy voice came through the link and he spoke " He speaks lies. Queen Karyn was killed by traitor. A dragon of the Black
line. That man lies". Jane felt relieved that they had been right. That man had been so cruel and horrible.
Jane ended up heading home and George did the same. The ceremony was drawing to a close. Jane knew the following day they would leave for the palace.
Jane needed to use the time to say goodbye to her friends and family but for now she just wanted to rest.

Jane lay on her bed calming herself. She did her normal thing in asking Eddy if she could go into his head. Eddy responded with the normal response " Sure".
Jane felt comfort in being in Eddy's mind. She wanted to ask one question before she slept.
"Eddy? I had a dream."
Eddy chuckled " Dont we normally have dreams?"
Jane was serious and she let him know " When I sleep in your mind I had a dream where I saw a golden dragon. Im sure it was the dragon King Edward. Well he's
the only Golden dragon left. It must be him."
Eddy voice was calm " Thats fascinating. I wondered why you had a dream about him."
" Eddy the braclet turned gold straight away dont you think thats strange? Maybe Im destined to meet him because im his scholar."
Eddy chuckled " Just because your his scholar doesnt mean you will met him."
Jane was getting annoyed " Eddy you are not telling me something. Your a friend of the golden dragon? How would I know what the golden dragon looks like?

Eddy sighed " Ok I know him. Quite well actually. Yes I have seen him. Thats probably why you saw him in your dream."
Jane was surprised at him coming clean so easyily but it relieved her. Also she would be seeing him in about week when they arrived at the dragon palace.
Jane decided to thank him " Thank you Eddy for telling me. So do you think I could sleep in your mind again?"
Eddy answered " Well Im not really that keen because I also get some of the stuff from your mind."
Jane was surprised " What dream did you have?"
Eddy sighed " I would rather not bring it up because it would be quite embarressing for you".
Jane felt her cheeks going red. She hoped it wasnt one of her kinky dreams she had from time to time.
Jane composed herself " Ok thats fine. Well Im going to sleep now. Bye"
Jane left Eddy and the world's sounds returned to her. Her mother was next to her bed looking worried.
" Mother?" Her mother's head looked towards her and she looked totally relieved.
" Jane I thought you were sick or something because your cheeks went red while you were sleeping. I thought you got a fever or something.
Jane smiled " Im fine mother I just need some more sleep. Later we can talk together since its my last day here." Her mother smiled her loveing smiled before
leaving her bedside. Jane then began her midday nap.

Jane woke refreshed and ready for the rest of the day. Lunch was ready by the time she woke and she ate it with her mother.
Jane walked down the street and looked at the town. This was probably going to be her last look at it for the rest of her life. Jane waved to some of the
people who she had known since she was young. The town square still had a few people in it but not many. Since the ceremony was over everyone went there
seperate ways. Jane wanted to visit Mr Pomp again so she headed out to the florists shop. He wasnt in the shop so she headed to the stairs that lead to his
room above the shop. The door stood ajar and she looked in. He was packing his belongings into a bag ontop of his bed.
He looked towards the door when the floor board creeked.
" Hello Jane. I will be returning to the palace with you. First time in ten years since I have been back there."
Jane smiled " Mr Pomp Sir Harold didnt let George become a scholar."
Mr Pomp sighed " Yes I know. I heard that George got retested by him. Is that true?"
Jane nodded " But Mr Pomp George answered the question correctly. I know it. Eddy even said-"
Mr Pomp's eyebrow rose " Eddy?"
Jane didnt know to tell him or not. Eddy voice spoke " Jane let me speak to him."
Jane was surprised " How?"
Eddy spoke calmly " Just go into my mind. I will do the rest. I will tell you when I am finished talking with him"
Jane agreed and so let herself drift into Eddy mind. It was strange it was as if she had walked into someone's home and no one was there. She listened to
the cave sounds. She wondered if she could see the cave if she opened her eyes. She opened one to test it and she was surprised to see that she could look
around and look at the cave. There wasnt much to see. The cave was very poorly lightened but she could see quite well actually. She took her time looking
around. The owner of the house which was Eddy's mind returned and told her he was down. Jane obediantly returned to her body to see Mr Pomp infront of her.
He was very pale and was trembling abit. Jane was worried so she spoke " Mr Pomp are you ok you are looking quite pale."
He jumped and gave her a weak smile " Im ok Jane. "
Jane wondered what Eddy had said " Mr Pomp what did Eddy say?"
Mr Pomp froze and chuckled lightly " Nothing important." He waved his hand to pushed the subject away.
" Mr Pomp Sir Harold said that--"
" I know, I know. Nothing can be done at the moment. George might be able to take a retest next spring."
Jane didnt want George to have to wait but it seemed nothing could be done about it.
Jane smiled " Well I guess I will see you tommorrow when we leave. Do you know how many other girls have been chosen?"
Mr Pomp seemed to have recomposed himself " I think about nine girls including you. "
" All breeders?"
Mr Pomp nodded with a smile.
Jane then left deciding to leave Mr Pomp to himself. She also wanted to head to the library to read some more.
Jane headed down the cobble street towards the library. Jane wondered if George would be in the library.
Jane headed through the doors and found that he was in the library. Reading a large dusty volume. Jane had read that one it was explain all the different
lines of the dragons and their strengths. She walked over to George and tapped him on the shoulder. He looked up and smiled at her. Jane returned it.
"George are you already studying for next year?" He looked up again.
" Jane I got something to tell you. I know it will sound strange but its true. I dont really understand it. Will you listen?"
Jane nodded. Knowing George was serious.
" Well ever since I was little I could hear a person's voice. It was as if someone was connected to me" Jane was shocked but never showed it. George was
like her. Jane tried to hide her interest " Whats the person's name?" Jane could tell Eddy was in her mind listening to George.
" Well she introduced herself as Ruby. "
Eddy's deep laugh echo in her mind " Jane tell George to tell Ruby the sun is coming".
Jane found this strange but decided to say it anyway " George can you tell Ruby something ?"
George blinked " Ok. What?"
"Tell her the sun is coming". George looked strangely at her and then his eyes grew wide.
" She went crazy happy. She says that she waits and that she wont lose."
Eddy laughed again. Jane was so lost. It seemed Eddy was friends with this Ruby person.
Jane decided to confess aswell " George im like you I also have been able to hear a person's voice since I was a kid. I cant believe that you can aswell."
George grinned happyily " I thought I was the only one. Whats your person's name?"
Jane was about to say it when Eddy voice boomed " Dont tell him my name! please"
Jane was confused and spoke " Sorry George he said I cant tell you his name. So what kind of person is Ruby?"
George blushed " She's so kind and caring. She's great. I hope I met her someday. She says she's waiting for someone."
Jane had never seen George like this. He liked her she could tell.
Eddy was laughing loudly at the back of her mind.
Jane didnt know what he found so amusing.
Jane spoke " George Im going to miss you. You been a great friend all these years. Im not sure I will see you again after I leave unless you get in and then
you will be a palace. "
George grinned " Dont worry Jane I will see you around. Just because you going to the palace doesnt mean I wont see you again."
Jane smiled and grabbed a book she hadnt read yet and started reading it as George returned to his book.
As she read Jane reminded herself that she needed to return the books she had taken out.
The current book she was reading was about the dragon palace and how it had come to be. Jane had read similar books but this was quite interesting. It seemed
King Edward's father built it with the help of the best human builders.

The rest of the day went on. Everyone was happy that quite a few girls had passed the test. Jane was happy that she was going to the palace but sad because
she was going to have to part with everyone. She hoped the palace library had many books in it so she could find more information in them. Jane was eager to
find more information about the dragons. She was also excited that she would meet Eddy for the first time. Maybe he would tell her more about the dragons.
She was sure he knew more.
It would soon be time to bathe and to eat supper so Jane closed the book said goodbye to George and slowly headed home. The sky was made beautiful by the
sun setting in the far horizon.
Once home Jane quickly bathed in the large basin before getting dressed. Her mother was smiling at her. Jane smiled back and they ate supper. It was not the
normal soup but the soup had been made better with other ingrediants. Jane knew that her mother had used her spare money so that her daughter would have a
good meal. Jane actually would have preferred having the normal soup because she didnt want to leave her mother burdened with lack of money.
Jane's mother asked her why she had decided to become a scholar instead of breeder. Jane told her what she had learnt from Eddy but not from who the
information was from. Her mother was surprised and just smiled weakly.

After supper Jane helped her mother before going to bed. Tommorrow she knew was going to be a long day. It was a two week ride in a carriage to the dragon
palace from Henaburg. They were probably going to go in three different carriages.
Jane lay down on her bed. This was going to be her last night on her bed or a long while. Jane closed her eyes and waited for the dream world to come to her.

She was in the same place she had been before. The green grass moved in the light breeze. The green rolling hills stretched out into oblivion. Jane
wondered if she would see the golden dragon again. She looked to the horizon. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw a dot in the distance.
She was surprised when she saw another five dots appear around the center one. The dots werent flying at different levels. Two dots were flying together in
the middle. Jane noticed as they came closer that the one seemed to be further back because the dot wasnt increasing in size as the others were.
As they got closer Jane could faintly see their colours. She heart sank when she didnt see a gold dragon.
Jane was surprised that there were two red dragons flying in the middle. The one that had seemed further back was in fact the smaller green dragon. She was
surprised to see that it was a Ice dragon on the other side. Its pure white scales shined beautifully in the sunlight. The earth suddenly shook under her
feet. Jane stood back and a brown dragon burst forth. It's eye focussed on her and it grinned before sitting next to the hole it just made like it was usual.
Jane knowledge told her it was a Earth dragon.
A shadow covered her which caused Jane to looked up straight into the eyes of a beautiful light blue dragon. It expertly landed next to the Earth dragon. It
too had a grin on its lips.
By this time the dragons that were flying in the distance had arrived. The two giantlike Fire dragons landed hard next to the light blue Air dragon. The
green Forest dragon skillfully landed on the other side of the Earth dragon. The Ice dragon moved slowly and gently landed next to the little green one. The
last dragon to land was the dark blue Water dragon. It didnt looked comfortable flying and happy landed blocking her only escape route.
One of the huge red dragons spoke " Hello. We are the first borns of our lines. Young lady unless my memory is slipping I do not know you.
I dont think any of the others do either. "
Jane was in awe. She was surrounded by the representives of the six noble lines.
Jane turned in a circle quickly admiring the different dragons.
Before she could answer the other red dragon spoke " Hurry up human or I will eat you."
Jane jumped and bowed before answering " I am Jane Tane. "
The Ice dragon spoke with a mystic voice " Jane have you been to this place before?"
Jane nodded amazed by the dragons voice " I once saw the Golden dragon here."
Each dragons eye blinked. The Earth dragon spoke in a husky voice " Are you sure it was the golden dragon Edward?"
Jane blinked " Yes to my knowledge it was him. I saw him when I went into to Eddy's mind-"
The Air dragon chuckled lightly " Tell us about this Eddy person. How did you go into his mind?"
Jane swallowed and spoke " Well ever since I was little I have been able to talk to Eddy in my mind. He knows alot about the dragons. He says he even knows
the golden dragon. "
Jane watched as all the dragons looked at the red dragon that had first spoken.
The red dragon spoke " Please continue young one."
Jane nodded " Well I passed the test and tommorrow I am leaving to the dragon palace" Jane held up her wrist so they could see the gold bracelet " I choose
to be a scholar. It turned gold when I put it on."
All the dragons froze.
Jane decided to continue " Well my friend is always like me. He can talk in his mind. He talks to a lady called Ruby."
All the dragons froze before chuckling. The forest dragon spoke " Hes playing a game he is. I cant believe this woman is-"
Eddy voice boomed loudly in her head " Jane shout silence quickly".
Jane unwilling abidged. " Silence" He voice echoed. The dragons moved uneasyily. The red dragon made a move towards her but the other stopped the movement.
Jane bowed low towards the Forest dragon " Im terribly sorry. Eddy told me to say it. It was hurting my head."
The Ice dragon spoke " From that I trust everyone understands the situation."
The dragons nodded slowly. The Ice dragon spoke " Young Jane is Eddy speaking to you right now?"
Eddy voice spoke " Jane tell him to stop sounding clever."
Jane froze. The Ice dragon spoke" Jane did Eddy say something?"
Jane nodded. The Ice dragon grinned " Could you tell us?"
Jane shook her head. The dragon seemed confused. " Jane why not? Its important please tell us."
Jane trembling spoke " Well Eddy said that I must tell you to stop sounding clever."
The hills echoed with loud barks of laughter from the dragons.
The Earth dragon grinned " Well Jane since you are going to the dragon palace. I guess we will be seeing you. I am Jeffery. I take it you know about my
line?" Jane nodded and spoke " Sorry Noble dragon do you think you could show me? I only know the theory."
The Earth dragon grinned " Of course. Its Jeffery to you. Well I will take my leave." He drove into his hole.
The light blue Air dragon grinned politely. She was so beautiful. Eddy voice echoed " tell her then".
Annoyed but trusting that Eddy words hadnt brought any harm. Jane spoke " Your beautiful." The Air water froze before grinning " Thanks the name is Ria. See
you around." She flew quickly into the sky.
The green Forest dragon fluttered close to her "Jane. The name is Arnold. Look out for some hotties in the breeders. OK?"
Jane blushed and nodded. The Forest dragon fly towards the distance.
Now it was the Ice, Water and the two Fire dragons left. The Water dragons who had not spoken spoke " I wish to see what infolds." With that he flew
in the same direction as the green dragon.
The Ice dragon grinned " Dont mind Lapis hes just grumpy because hes not in water. I will take my leave aswell. Nice to meet you Jane. Im Victor." He flew
slowly away.
Now it left her with the Fire dragons. Jane felt uneasy. Fire dragons were know as the most fearsome of them all.
The Female red dragon grinned " Let me guess. Your all scared? Fire dragons are the most fearsome right? Well thats not always true. Look at Faron now hes
as cute as a rabbit." Faron snorted causing the air around his nostrils to burn.
The Female dragon stretched her wings obviously getting ready for flight.
Jane spoke " wait I dont know what your name is?"
The red dragon spoke as she flew away " When the time comes."
With that she was alone on the grassy hill.
Suddenly the world around her disappeared and she heard her mother calling her. Jane opened her eyes. Sunlight was coming through the windows. This surprised
her since it should be early morning. Jane sat up " Mother whats the time?". Her mother seemed relieved that Jane had spoken and told awhile to answer "Well
its noon."
Jane went into panic " Mother what about the carriages? When are we leaving?"
Jane's mother smiled " They came to us and said that they would leave in about an one hour. Thats why I came to wake you up so that you could get your
clothes ready." Jane sighed. She hadnt missed it.
Jane smiled to her mother and packed her small amount of clothes into her backpack. She decided to travel light. Jane gave her mother a big hug before
asking her where they were to meet to leave. Her mother told her it was in the town square. Jane gave her mother another hug. Her mother offered to go with
her as Jane left but Jane knew her mother needed to get money to feed herself. Jane headed down the cobble streets towards the town square.
As she got closer she saw quite a few people were still around. Jane was surprised to see two six seater carriages waiting for their passengers. She had
never been in a six seaters. She had only seen it a few times because mostly only the rich and important rode in them. Jane headed towards the one and found
that it was nearly full of girls and that there was only one seat left. She quickly took it so as not to have to go with Sir Harold. The five girls looked
at her briefly. Jane reconised the one as Anne.
After some time a man with a red hat come to the carriage door and introduced himself as Rory the driver. All the girls smiled at him so she just did the
same. Mr Pomp came aswell and checked to if all the girls were there. After his check Rory closed the doors and hopped to his drivers seat.
Soon enough the carriages lurched into motion. Immediately the middle girl opposite Jane spoke " Hello Im Kate. Nice to meet you. Now which dragons are you
girls gonna choose? I have a friend at the palace and she sending me letter from time to time. " She grinned " About the dragons measurements and all." Kate
spoke in a rich accent but seemed to be pleasent. After her last comment all the girls blushed terribly. Jane had managed to catch a glimpse in her dream but
not to much success so she wondered what this girl had heard. Jane knew that the girls didnt know the names like she did or that there were two red dragons.
Jane decided to let it flow. She spoke " Im Jane the golden dragon's scholar." Kate looked at her with a grin " Nice to meet you Jane. Im surprised as we
all probably are that you choose to be a scholar. Anyway its not my business. Who would it be if you have to choose Jane?"
Jane blushed " Umm I would probably choose the golden dragon." Kate giggled " Jane thats cheating hes not a choice. Now really who?"
Jane thought aloud " Well neither of the fire dragons, obviously not the air dragon and not the water dragon." Everyone was looking at Jane now.
The girl to Kate's right spoke " What about the Ice dragon? I heard hes real gracefully."
Jane shook her head " Nah if I had to choose and I couldnt choose the golden dragon I would choose the earth or forest dragons."
Kate nodded. Anne to her right spoke " Jane you said "fire dragons". What did you mean by that?"
Jane was in a hard place. She needed a way out so she shrugged her shoulders " If you read the right books it tells you that there are two fire dragons."
Hoping to change to the subject and find some information Jane continued " Anne what dragon are you going to choose?"
A determined look came across her face " The Fire dragon." Kate chuckled " Anne dont you want to know some of the measurements before you choose?"
Kate continued without waiting for an answer " Girls my information is similar to Jane's. The Fire dragon packs a punch." Kate leveled her hand with her
shoulder to show the height. Jane's eyes boggled. She was sure some girls would have died. No would alot were crippled. Kate continued " Alot of girls
choose the red dragon because to have his egg is truly great because he's the biggest dragon. " Kate grinned " So Anne you still gonna choose the fire
dragon?" Anne nodded confidently. Kate rolled her eyes " Well, Earth dragon is alot shorter than the fire dragon but hes wider than any of them. "
This scared Jane she would never have thought Jeffery to hurt people without good reason but she knew that sexual drive and the need for an egg sometimes
caused people to do different things. Kate continued " Well I havent heard anything about the Air and Water dragons. Jane do you know anymore?"
Jane nodded " Firstly the Air dragon is a she. The Water dragon is a male but unless you can hold your breath awhile I doubt he will accept you."
Jane knew aswell as the other ladies that they could always be denied by the dragon they wanted to mate with. This was always a factor. The only dragon that
never denied was the fire dragon. So alot of the ladies used him as a fall back. She guessed Faron didnt like being the runner up so he was probably hard
on the girls. Causing them to be crippled or worse dead. Jane wondered if without his anger a woman would probably become crippled.

Her thoughts were broken by the girl who was on the other side of Kate " Katey this girl isnt telling us everything. She knows more." Kate smiled " I know
Jill but its Jane's choice to share it or not." Jill glared at Jane before looking out the window. Jane spoke " Jill who you going to choose?"
Jill grinned " Same as Katey. The Ice dragon."
Jane chuckled which caused Kate and Jill to give her looks.
Kate spoke " You know something?"
Jane smiled " The Ice dragon will reject you both. All I will say is to go with the Earth or Forest dragon when he does."
Kate eyed her " Why would he reject us? "
Jane shrugged " Its just my opinion but promise me dont choose the Fire dragon after you have been rejected. Will you promise?"
Kate could see the determined look in Jane's eye and she grinned " Very well. I will choose the Earth dragon." She frowned " What if he rejects me?"
Jane spoke " He wont." Jill piped up " Im still going to go with Fire dragon after I try the Ice."
Jane shrugged and spoke to Kate " Dont blame me if she dies."
Jane ignored the froze looks of fear on the two girls faces and instead turned to the girl on her right side introducing herself. The big breasted brunette
on Jane's right was Rebecca and she was from around the Henaburg area. Jane knew of her village.
Rebecca whispered " So Jane which dragon should I pick? I was going to choose the Fire dragon but after what you said. Im not sure anymore."
Jane smiled " Rebecca which is your favourite dragon truthfully?"
Rebecca grinned and spoke " The Green dragon is my favourite but everyone says hes weak and that I should choose a bigger one."
Jane chuckled " Rebecca choose the Green dragon. Go with the one you truly favour." Rebecca nodded and whispered a thanks.

Jane then introduced herself to the girl to her left. The looked sceptically at Jane and spoke so that only the two of them could hear " You cant find that
information in books because I have read alot and not one bit says that. From what I gather you have probably met them." Jane couldnt help a grin while she
lifted an eyebrow " So you think highly of yourself. What is your name?". The girls spoke " Teresa. I cant help it if I am more knowledgble then anyone."
Jane laughed loudly which caused everyone to look at her. Jane blushed and turned back to Teressa.
Jane wondered if she would be a good match for the Victor. Eddy voice came softly " Jane it wont do. Victor will decline."
"Why?" Was Jane response.
Eddy sighed " Victor already had a mate. He even had a egg on the way but she died giving birth to the egg. The baby dragon also died shortly after
leaving Victor with nothing but grief." Jane felt sorrow for Victor. She now found her matchmaking silly and stupid.
Jane was surprised when someone stabbed her left breast with their finger. Teresa was frowned at Jane.
Jane smiled " oops sorry. What were you saying?"
Terresa sighed " Wow you got a short attention span. I was just saying I dont know what dragon to choose. Whats your suggestion. I want to see if its any
good." Jane spoke " Sorry Teresa I cant help you. You will just have to make your own decision but I say go with the one that you really like. The one that
really interests you."
Jane then laid back leaning her head on the carriages frame. She could hear Kate talking about what happens after they have been mated. Jane could hear
words along the lines of "scholar" and "honour". Jane knew the truth. She had heard it from Eddy. That they would be slaves if they did not produce an
egg. Jane hoped that they bore eggs. She didnt want to see them scrubbing the floor as she studied in the palace library.
Before Jane could doze off she wondered if she could get some more informatio. Since it was always good to learn new things.
"Kate?"
Kate looked at Jane " yes?"
Jane frowned she didnt really know how to say it " Well Kate do you think you could tell me more about the dragons.. umm-
"measurements?" Kate finished.
Jane nodded and blushed.
Kate chuckled " Sure. I will tell you what I know. The only piece of information that you dont know is about the forest dragons measurements."
Jane heard Rebecca shuffled to hear more but not to gather attention. Jane spoke Yes?"
Kate smiled " Well hes smaller for a dragon but I wouldnt underestimate him. Hes like.. like " She seemed to struggle for an example.
" He about this size." She clenched her fist and made it point upward. She indicated to the elbow as the end.
Jane felt herself blush because Kate's fist looked like the end of the penis.
Jane hadnt seen one. She was a virgin but she had read an accurate description of it when she had been younger. The library was full of all sorts of books.
It all depended on what you wanted.
Kate grinned sheepishly " Well thats his size. I wouldnt mind choosing the green dragon but I prefer the brown dragon."
Jane looked over and saw that Jill had fallen asleep. Jane didnt blame her. It was hot and it made her feel sleepy. They had also been going for quite awhile.
Jane spoke softly to Kate " So Kate what dragon is Jill choosing?"
Kate grinned " We both going to try the Ice dragon and if we get rejected I'm going to choose the brown dragon. I tried to change her mind but she is going
to stick with the red dragon. She says she wants to take the chance."
Jane felt sorry for Jill but decided it was not for her to choose.
Jane was getting hot and decided to get to sleep before she wouldnt be able to.
Teresa had fallen asleep against the side of the carriage and so Jane gently leant against her shoulder and quickly found herself sleeping.

He chuckled until Jane replied with a short yes.
Eddy became dead serious " Very well. I will think on it but you owe me a favour from now on ok?"
Eddy had never asked for a real favour because they always seemed to help her. Jane grinned " ok. I owe you a favour".
The link closed and Jane found herself grinning which appeared from an outsider for no apparent reason. Teresa was this outsider.
She giggled silently and spoke " You did it again. You phased out and got a silly plasted look on your face. "
Jane just smiled " Never mind Teresa just be quiet. Im thinking about your problem." Teresa nodded and lay down across Jane's lap.
Teresa squeezed Jane breast which caused her to yelp. Satisfied with the reaction Teresa closed her eyes.
Jane blushed furiously thought of something and whispered into Teresa ear " Teresa are you wearing underwear?"
Teresa just giggled which was a good enough "no" Jane could hope for.
Teresa wanted to take a visit to Eddy's mind but she didnt want to obstruct him because he was helping her friend.

" I havent choosen yet. I dont really know which to choose. I will probably decided when I get there."

After she was done Jane washed her hands in the bucket of water nearby and handed back inside. By this time it was dark and she was starving. She hoped

Jane thought. That meant that Jill and Joe would have to go with Sir Harold and Mr Pomp. Jane felt sorry for them.

Mr Pomp came around to do his rounds before they left. It sleeped there was another change in driver.
Soon enough they were on their way towards the bridge.

Steady it got hotter until everyone in the carriage was trying to cool themselves with their hands. They continued at a steady pace until they came to

bridge. They started moving again but much slower.

The red dragon put them slowly onto the ground and landed a little way off.

Jane looked back to the carriage. They outside the carriage but seemed too scared to come out. Jane waved.
" Yip. Want me to introduce them to you? They are quite interesting."
The red dragon chuckled " Very well if you so they are then let me meet them. I will meet you there."
The dragon leapt into the air and glided toward the carriage.
Jane grinned and walked quickly back to the carriage.
Everyone was bowing very low mostly in fear she could see. Anne seemed very excited.
The dragon lazyily spoke " Rise. Jane whos the one over there?"
Everyone rose unsteadyily. Jane looked to where she had pointed. It was too Anne.
Before Jane could speak Anne burst out her name.
The dragon locked onto Anne " Did I ask you? You insolent human. Do you wish to die?"
Anne gulped and dropped to her feet and spoke close to tears " Im Sorry Noble dragon."
Jane felt sorry for her and spoke to the female dragon " She wishes to choose Faron. She seems in high favour of the Fire dragons."
A loud echoing laugh came from the dragon. Jane had only heard this once before. At their meeting. It was a strange laugh.
" Well have fun with Faron human." She said to Anne who had her head to the ground.

The dragon fronze and suddenly looked left. Jane looked in that direction and saw a person floating through the air towards them.
Jane was surprised by this. The dragon spoke in an ergent voice " Run. Get into the carriage. Trouble is here."
Everyone quickly got into he carriage that was damaged from the dragons claws. Jane stood next to the doorway watching the figure.
As the person got closer Jane noticed it was a woman. A Naked woman in fact.
Jane focussed on her and a strange thing happened. The air below the woman was visible. It was light. The other strange was that the
woman disappeared and was replaced by a man. He wore travelers clothes. Jane unfocussed and the woman returned. The air of light disappeared aswell.
It was strange. Jane wondered if the other girls noticed it aswell.
The naked woman landed facing the red dragon. The dragon was growling and she spoke " Paleena I see that your alive. Thats fortunate because I can kill
you and your evil black line." Bells went off in Jane's head. This was the evil Black line. The black dragon who fought against Edward the golden dragon.
Jane suddenly felt as if she had a personal grudge with her.
Paleena laughed an evil laugh. Jane focussed on her and the man was also laughing but it was a laugh of humour while hers was not.
" Do you think that you can defect me Ruby? You alone? No golden dragon to help you? So you going to kill me all by yourself?"
Ruby. A memory flashed through Jane's mind. George had told her his friend's name was Ruby. When she had mentioned Ruby at the rolling
green hills all of them had looked at her. She was Ruby. The red dragons name was Ruby.
The Naked woman lifted her arm and clicked her fingers. Jane watched in totally horror as Ruby's front left arm fell off. Ruby groaned and opened her jaw
before a huge amount of greenish red fire headed towards the woman. Jane watched as the man lefted his arm and the air shone like the air earlier. The
flames circled around it and burnt all of his clothes off leaving him naked. Jane was surprised he wasnt wounded.
Jane looked around at the girls and Ruby. They were all staring at the woman because she had taken no damage. It seemed she was the only one who could see
the man and the light. Jane looked at Ruby and saw that light was covering her leg that had been cut off. Jane saw that it was actually there but Ruby was
limping.
Ruby moved toward the woman and growled louder and spoke " It seems my fire has no affect so I will show you something special."

Jane suddenly felt the air around her become hotter. She watched as Ruby grinned. Her scales slowly began to glow until they all caught alight creating a
coat of flame around her body. Jane saw that the man was grinning while the woman seemed disinterested. The woman started running forward while the woman
was still standing where she was. Jane watched at the man ran forward.
Jane eyes widened as she Ruby was still looking at the woman.
Jane decided to help her she shouted " Ruby thats not her. Jump quickly now!"
Ruby locked eyes with Jane before jumping with her legs.
Jane sighed as the man just missed Ruby.
Jane watched as the man looked at her. Straight in the eyes.
Fear overwhelmed her. Ruby shouted " Where is she?"
Jane screamed as she ran " Hes coming for-
A large hand muffled covered her mouth. The man had her. He was grinning. Jane saw that he was semi-transparent and fully if she didnt focus on him. She
guessed that the others couldnt see him.
Ruby landed close to them. Jane watched as the man changed back to the woman. Jane thought that it must have looked strange to see a woman suddenly appear.
Ruby growled and she looked straight into Jane's eyes. Jane knew what Ruby was asking permission to kill them both. Jane knew that the Black dragon was evil
and evil needed to be stopped but she wanted to live. So Jane synagized.
She shook her head and lifted her right leg and connected her heel to the mans groin. Jane managed to see his pain as she broke away from his grip. He fell
to one knee. To the overs it must have looked strange. A woman kicking another woman groin and that woman buckled.
Jane grinned trumphantly while Ruby looked at her in amazement. Jane watched as the man stood and looked her straight in the eyes. He winked at her. Jane
giggled.
Ruby spoke " Jane get out of here. As far as you can."
Jane nodded and ran away from the two. She couldnt go back to the carriage because the man would get her again.
Ruby roared loudly. The earth shuddered. The flames on her back hissed. Jane had heard a roar before but this one was very different.
Ruby roared again and the flames grew even larger. The man frowned and seemed disappointed from where she could see.
The man flicked his wrist and the light covered the rest of Ruby's legs. She howled and the flames on her body shot like snakes to the man. He waved his
hand and they died out. Ruby looked shocked.
Jane had a feeling the man was much stronger than Ruby. She didnt want Ruby to die. George would be unhappy so she thought of the only thing she could do
as the man walked towards Ruby's face. She ran. Straight towards the man.
The man looked in her direction and rose an eyebrow. Jane ran until she was in ear shot " I will take her place. Spare her life and take mine."
The woman snarled and the man grinned " Very well. You're a bigger prize anyway."
The man walked towards Jane grinned widely. Ruby screamed " Noo!!!!"
She roared one long large roar. The air burnt. This was powerful and Jane knew it.
The earth rubbled. The man laughed happyily as the lava rose from the valley and floated in the sky above them causing them to be in shade. The man seemed
very excited. The woman disappeared and he brought his finger before his lips before the world went white.
When she had recovered Jane saw that the man was floating at the horizon. What a interesting man. Jane wondered if she should tell Ruby or not.
Jane ran towards Ruby who looked exhausted.
Ruby smiled " So Jane it seems you found out my name? Paleena seemingly cut off my limbs so im stuck here." Jane felt like laughing but just smiled
" Ruby you still have your limbs. The person just made it seem like it. Like when it seemed that she was standing there but she wasnt."
Ruby spoke " So I still have my hands and feet?" Jane nodded " Try move them."
Ruby spoke " I just tried it didnt move. " Jane walked over to the light and experimently touched it. It unraveled itself. Ruby grinned " I got it back.
What did you do? Do it to the others aswell please." Jane laughed to herself. A dragon had said please to her. Ruby was her friend so it seemed
understandable. Jane walked to each of her limbs and touched them. Ruby smiled when her limbs returned to her.
After Jane had touched each and made the light dissolve Ruby spoke " Thanks Jane for the help. She got away do you know which direction?"
This is where Jane had to decide. Trust the mysterious man or Ruby. She decided to go with her gut " I didnt see. She was just gone after I got blinded."
Ruby sighed " Well Lets get you girls to the palace. "
Jane nodded and spoke " Ruby I forgot to thank you for saving us."
Ruby grinned " Its fine. So while we walk tell me about George. What does he look like?"
Jane giggled and described him the best she could.
Ruby seemed satisfied with her describtion and said that George thought Jane was his best friend.
Jane felt special and thanked Ruby for telling her.
Jane giggled and spoke " He said that your very kind and caring. Ruby he likes you."
Jane was sure she saw Ruby blush if that was even possible on a red dragon.

Soon they reached the girls who had fearful looks on their faces. They all bowed very low.
Teresa quickly ran over to Jane and gave her a hug and quickly spoke " Jane are you alrighty? You suddenly went running off and that lady took you. We
were all scared."
Jane grinned and spoke " Its fine now. Now lets get back Ruby said she will fly us to the palace."
Ruby looked at Jane with a questioning look and Jane grinned and gave a wink before walking back to the carriage.

When they were in the carriage Ruby flew about them and grabbed the top of the carriage with her claws. With that they started flying in the direction
that the man had disappeared to. Jane wondered if she would see that man again.
All the girls seemed to be in total awe of her but the most of all was Anne. She seemingly anointed herself Jane's best friend.
Jane decided to escape from the chaos and go into Eddy's mind.
She reached out with her mind for him and he answered " Jane how are you?"
Jane smiled " Im fine Eddy. I was wondering if I can join you in your mind for awhile."
Eddy chuckled " Sure its been awhile but you wont be able to see."
Jane didnt really mind in the cave she couldnt see much anyway so she willed herself to leave herself and go into Eddy's mind.
Once in she felt free and protected at the same time it was comforting. Jan
Jane spoke " Eddy that was you wasnt it."
There was a silence. Jane could hear a bird chirping. His voice in his mind came in a serious tone " Yes it was. "
His tone turned to cheerful " Did you like what you saw?"
Jane smiled " Maybe. Your quite handsome. I was pleasently surprised."
Eddy seemed to grin and spoke " Why thank you. You are beautiful yourself."
Jane blushed " You are just saying that."
Eddy spoke " Well unless Im mistaking you for someone else. Blonde hair, Brown eyes, beautiful figure.. would you like me to continue?"
Jane was seriously blushing now. Eddy chuckled.
Jane decided to change the subject " So since you are going towards the dragon palace will we meet again?"
Eddy seemed surprised " You saw me? Wow im surprised. I thought I had made I clean get away. Anyway yes we will be seeing eachother again."
Jane grinned " Then I will look forward to it."
Eddy spoke " So will I. Jane I need to go. "
Jane understood " Ok."
Jane moved back to her mind and opened her eyes. Everyone was staring at her.
Teresa whispered " You have been like that for awhile and you were grinning and blushing."
Jane blushed. She had forgotten that. Jane smiled weakly to the rest before looking out the window at Ruby.
She put her head out the window and hoped Ruby would hear her voice in the sound of the wind " Ruby if you see another carriage can you stop by.
I want to tell them we're ok."
Ruby voiced was boomed and carried through the wind " We already pass them awhile back. They were already traveling forward. It seemed to me
that they hadnt given a second thought to you so I continued."

Jane frowned at this information. She was sure Mr Pomp would look for them.
Jane spoke " Ok. Thanks Ruby for everything."
Jane didnt go inside but instead looked at view. They were quite high up and it looked beautiful.
It brought a picture of Eddy in her mind. He was handsome. He was always kind and he always was so cheerful to her. For no reason what so
ever. No wonder Eddy had asked her to choose to be a scholar. She would be heart broken if the person she liked went off with someone else.
She tried to picture a scenario of Eddy going with some other woman. She suddenly felt burning anger and hate to the woman he choose.
Jane was surprised by her emotions. What if the woman was poor and Eddy had lots of money so he could help her. A voice in her mind screamed that
she didnt care and surprisingly she didnt. She didnt care what happened to that woman. Eddy was hers. She wanted him to herself.
Jane's jaw dropped as she discovered what she had thought. She liked Eddy. No she.... Jane couldnt believe it. She...loved him.
Jane grinned as tears formed in her eyes as she actually saw the truth for the first time. She had also liked Eddy. He was so likeable.
Jane felt disappointment when she thought that she would be studying the golden dragon her whole life. Jane knew that the scholar left the palace but
only on duty to go to the other lands to study or do something. She would never be able to marry Eddy.
Jane stopped herself. Marriage was too far. She didnt even know if Eddy liked her.
"I do for a matter of fact." Jane fronze.
No it couldnt have been. It was. Eddy's voice.
It came again " Jane I see you have come to discover your feelings. I have had them for a long time. I too love you."
Jane felt like she was soaring the clouds. It was beautiful. Eddy loved her.
Jane frowned " Answer me this Eddy. How come you heard my thoughts when I didnt even feel it?"
Eddy chuckled " Jane likes call it one of those wrong place, wrong time moments."
Jane grinned " Its more like you purposely choose that time. You wait for it."
Eddy chuckled.
Jane spoke " So Eddy now that I know that you love me and that I love you want will happen when we meet?"
Eddy laughed " I plan to kiss you. You have yet you to have one of those."
Jane smiled. Dammit he knew everything.
Jane spoke " I look forward to it. There is nothing that I can hide from you is there?"
Eddy chuckled. Jane who was puzzled " If you can know everything of mine is it not my right to know everything of yours?"
Eddy spoke " Yes it is. You are right but not now. Soon though. By the end of the day."
Jane was content at least someone had given her a deadline.
Jane with a huge grin pastered on her face went back in and sat down. Her heart was fluttering. Soon she would be embracing Eddy.

After an hour or two Ruby voice boomed out " Jane we are nearly there."
Jane quickly went to window and looked out. She gasped. There in the middle of a pine forest stood a very large clearing and in that stood a white palace.
It was macnificent.
Jane looked left and saw that they had just crossed over the lowest part of the mountain range that complete surrounded the palace.
This blocked off intruders and also limited access. In the mountains were also said to be where the dragons dwelled.
Ruby started her slow decent. Jane could just make out a narrow path below them that was obviously used for carriages and for access to the palace.
As they got closer everyone in the carriage's excited rose.
They about to be at the palace that they had worked their whole life to be at. They had done it and landing on the palace ground seemed to solidify that.

They were now very close to the ground until Ruby stopped and while hovering slowly lowered them until the carriage touched the ground.
Everyone went estatic. Jane grinned and went over to Ruby who must have been quite tired after carrying them " Thank you again for everything Ruby. "
Ruby showed a toothy grin " Its what friend do." Jane smiled.
All the our girls hurried over and gave deep bows in thanks. Ruby just smiled at Jane and flapped her wings until she was in the air. She then headed for
the trees. Jane was surprised to see a few other smaller red dragons and finally disappeared within them.
The girls didnt have to wait long because the scene seemed to have roused a few people. Two men wearing robes like Sir Harold and two woman in dirty
looking clothes walked to them.
One of the men spoke " I am Sir Robert. Are you the new breeders?"
Jane spoke " Yes Sir Robert we are except for me. I am a scholar."
Sir Robert's eyebrow rose " That is interesting. Do you have a bracelet?"
Jane pulled up her sleeve to show the golden bracelet.
The two woman gasped audibly. The two men frowned and Sir Robert spoke " Where did you get that? That is obviously a fake. The Golden dragon line
is no more. Who did you get to make you that fake?"
Jane felt hurt. She was choosen by the golden dragon.
She heard Eddy voice in her mind " Want me to talk to him?"
Jane decided to defend herself to once and she told him she would handle it.
Jane spoke " Sir Robert this is not a fake. The Golden dragon line is still alive. Ask any of the dragons. I was choosen by the Golden dragon."
Sir Robert seemed furiously and he spoke " How dare you disrespect me like that! You bitch."
He rose his hand to slap her. Jane was ready for it. His hand moved downward.
The earth shuddered and grabbed his arm.

The ground broke apart and a brown dragon appeared. His eye locked onto Sir Robert. The two woman bowed immediatially. The other robed man recovered from
the shock and bowed so did the other girls.
Jeffery spoke in deathly calm voice " You human. How dare you raise your hand to Jane!!"
The ground shock. Sir Robert's legs started shaking " Well Noble dragon I was disipining her for her stupid ideals."
Jeffery's eyes moved to Jane and he grinned. Jane grinned back and spoke " Jeff how you! Today is going to special I can feel it."
Jeffery smile faded " So want is with this guy?"
Jane spoke" You mean Sir Robert? I will only tell you if you promise not to hurt him."
Jeffery feighed disappointment and spoke " Ok I promise. So tell me what this " Sir Robert" did?" He chuckled at his only sarcasm.
Jane grinned " He just said that the Golden dragon doesnt exist and that my gold bracelet is fake."
Jeffery laughed into the sky. His laugh was throaty like scraping agaisnt granite " Jane there are too many loop holes in your deal."
He grinned and hit the ground with his hind leg sending a mini earthquake along the ground.

Suddenly the earth apart all around them and three small brown dragons appeared. All of them were grinning.
Jane was surprised at first but thought logically. There were quite a few dragons left in each line but there was only one leader.
Jeffery spoke" Jane I would like you to meet my brothers and sister. Marque, Diane and Dane. Guys this is Jane."
The three dragons hopped out of their holes and moved closer to Jane. The middle one was more slender and abit shorter but they still towered
over her. Jane grinned " Nice to meet you three."
The three dragons grinned before the middle spoke in a female voice " Jeff so whats up. What you need us for?"
Jeffery grinned " See this little human here. Well since I cant. Take care of him. He wanted to do a little damage to Jane over here so lets do
a little to him."
The three of them got huge grins and Diane picked up Sir Robert who tried to struggle. Diane hopped back next to her hole and spoke before driving in
" Cheers. Nice meeting you Jane." Then they were gone.
Jane watched amazingly as the ground slowly repaired itself until it was exactly like it was before.
Jane was shocked that Jeffery had killed Sir Robert so easyily. He had only wanted to slap him.

Jeffery grinned and spoke " Well I will be on my way. I will see you later Jane."
Jane grinned as he began to turn to hole.
He stopped before he was completely in it " Hey Jane do you know if any of those girls are gonna choose me?"
Jane giggled "I think one might."
Jeffery spoke " So who is the favourite this time?"
Jane frowned in thought " It seems Victor."
Jane laughed with Jeffery.
When his laughing stopped he spoke " Well thats a first. Its normally Faron but not often Victor. Have you warned them?"
Jane nodded. Jeff smiled showing some teeth " At least I got one."
With that he disappeared back into the hole.
Jane turned with a small smile to the second man in a robe and spoke " Sir where must we go?"
He seemed shocked he had been spoken to " You call me Fred. Please follow me. They will get your bags."
The two woman walked over to the girls and started releaving them of their backpacks.
Jane was surprised when she noticed that they were own about two years her senior. The girl's dresses were worn and dirty.
Jane had a feeling that these girls were breeders in the past.
She felt someone hand on her shoulder. It was Kate.
She smiled " Ive made up my mind. Im going to choose the Earth dragon."
Jane grinned " Good for you Kate. Jeff will be pleased."
Kate spoke with awe " So Jane do you know all the dragons names?"
Jane smiled " Just the top seven. "
Kate's eyes widened " SO you have met the male red dragon?"
Jane nodded. Kate spoke quietly " Sounds like a nasty one."
Jane nodded " He is. Anyway you have nothing to worry about. "
Kate seemed unconvinced " Did you see how he just killed Sir Robert? Also his measurement is huge."
Jane giggled " Jeffery only kills threats or people he doesnt like. Im sure he will like you. So dont worry about his big..measurement."
Both girls giggled. The rest of the girls had started walked towards the palace so Jane and Kate hurried to catch up with them.
Jane saw one of the woman carrying the bags stumble and fall. Jane hurried over and helped the girl. She gave a small bow whilst on the ground.
Jane helped her to feet and she grimaced in pain. After she had settled she began to pick the bags back up. Jane carried one of the bags and walked
with the girl which was a little behind the group.
Jane decided to ask " So which dragon did you choose?"
The girl looked surprised " You know? And you arent scared?"
Jane showed her bracelet. The girl eye's grew huge and she went to bow which only caused a bag to fall.
Jane picked that one too and spoke " So whats your name and which dragon? Im Jane."
The girls became shy " Im Eren. I choose Jeffery."
Jane smiled. This girl liked him. Eren spoke " He's so kind. He only put half of himself in me. That was after I ask him to. "
Jane was surprised by this. Pleasently surprised. She spoke " But did it still cause you damage?"
Eren nodded " Even once in awhile. It hurts. But it goes away. "
Jane spoke " Do you regret choosing Jeffery?"
Eren looked at her in shock and spoke " No! I am really happy I got a chance to have his egg."
She became defeated " But It didnt happen. I didnt have his egg. I failed." Tears started forming on the girls eyes.
Jane felt grief for the woman. All she wanted was to have his egg but she hadnt and that had crushed her.
Jane wanted to do something for her " Eren if you had a chance to do over your choice of a dragon would you do it?"
"Yes" Jane was surprised. She had thought wrong of this girl. But Eren continued " I would choose Jeffery again and tell him to put it all in me."
She seemed determined and resolved. Jane grinned at this and walked with the girl.

Jane was in awe of the size of the halls they entered. They were huge. Eren grinned and told her some interesting things about the hallways.
When they come to a fork Eren spoke " Jane you go left. I go right."
Jane nodded and gave her the two bags she was carrying and spoke " Bye Eren I will see you around."
Eren smiled and Jane got a glimpse at her true beauty. She was stunning.
Jane smiled back before hurrying down the left fork.
After awhile she heard voices and finally found the girls.

The man in robes lead them to a door and spoke " Girls here is the palace's bath. A hot spring flows into it. You are to bathe here. After that take one
of the robes on the side. " With that he started walking down the hallway.
The girls slowly filtered into the room.
Jane gasp. It was beautiful. The floor was tiled with marble and looked stunning. In the middle of the room was a pool size bath with steaming water inside.
Jane noticed three girls she didnt know sitting on the edge of the bath.
Jane watched one of the girls stand unsteadyily and she walked uncomfortably forward before speaking " Hello Ladies. We are here you help bathe. We can give
you back rubs if you wish. After your bath we can also help you put on your cream."
Jane was confused and spoke " Sorry what cream?"
The girl looked at Jane and Jane could see that she too was beautiful " In the bowls over there. There is cream that can help you when you mate with the
dragons. It is less painful if you use the cream."
The girls nodded before they all started undressing.
Jane joined them in removing her clothes. When she was naked she slowly slipped into the water which felt wonderful.
Jane moved slowly toward the three girls.
The one was already rubbing Jill's back. Jane went to another girl and the girl called her closer with waving motions.
Jane abided and swam until she was next to the woman. She spoke " Come let me give you a back rub."
Jane smiled and let the woman give her one. Jane spoke " Im Jane Nice to meet you."
The woman smiled kindly " Im Wanda. Nice to meet you Jane."
Jane smiled " Wanda so which dragon did you choose?"
The arms massaging her back fronze and Wanda send nothing.
Jane was surprised and turned seeing the woman with tears in her eyes she moved to her side and comforted her.
Jane spoke " You choose the red didnt you?"
Wanda nodded slowly as she started sobbed softly. She spoke softly " I cant move my legs. That is why I do this job because I cant move."
Jane was shocked by this and looked at the woman's legs. They were thin from lack of use. Jane hugged the woman in support and spoke " Im sorry Wanda."
Wanda seemed to cheer up abit " Its ok Jane. There are quite a few girls like this so Im not alone. Jane you mustnt choose the red dragon."
Jane was surprised to hear their were move but it wasnt unlogical. Faron was one of the largest dragons and so he would have been choosen a few times.
Jane smiled " Wanda I wont choose Faron."
Wanda seemed surprised by the name " Is that his name?"
Jane was shocked that Faron hadnt even told the girl his name. Jane rethought it. It was actually something Faron would do
Jane nodded " Yes it is. Im a scholar but if I could choose. It would the Golden dragon."
Wanda smiled " Thats good. Now moved back here so I rub your back."
Jane smiled and moved so she had access to continue the backrub.
Jane spoke " Wanda tell me about the girls who mate with Jeffery the Earth dragon."
Wanda spoke " Jane do you know that you cannot speak their names without their permission."
Jane nodded " I do. Now please tell me about the girls."
Wanda spoke " Very well. Alot of the girls who mated with him arent hurt. I dont know why. They all say he is very kind. Only some girls had been hurt
and the worst is a girl who like me."
Jane was surprised that Jeffery would cripple a girl. Wanda chuckled " She had that coming though. She choose the ice dragon and then asked every dragon
except the Earth and Fire even the female ones. She then asked Earth. Insulted the Earth dragon must have been rough on her or something."
Jane knew that Jeffery would be offended.
Jane spoke " What about the girls who mated with the green dragon?"
Wanda smiled " I wish I had choosen the Forest dragon. Well all those girls are sore for about one week after and then they recover. "
Jane nodded and spoke " Could you tell me about the girls of the others?"
Wanda spoke " There have never been any who mated the Ice dragon." Jane knew that would have to be expected.
Jane looked around the room. All the girls were chatting happyily or getting a backrub from one of the two other woman who had spread out.
Wanda continued " There are quite alot of crippled who mated with the Fire dragon. A few have also died."
Jane gasped. They had died.
Wanda continued " There has been one who mated with the Water dragon. She is a very good swimmer and she mated with the Water dragon. She is over there."
Wanda pointed to a girl who was giggled with Rebecca whilst massaging her.
Wanda spoke in sad voice " She now has a terrible fear of deep water." Jane was sad to hear this.
Jane spoke " So Wanda does that cream help?"
Wanda giggled " It gets you really wet and horny." Jane grinned and said to herself that she would try some.
Jane spoke " So Wanda what happens after this?"

Jane decided to help. She spoke " Excuse me Victor. Tarryn is deaf and I dont think she has learnt to read lip dragons yet."
Victor focussed on her as she spoke. He then walked forward and lowered his head so his one eye was level with her eyes.
He shook his head. Tarryn got on both kneels and begged. She sobbed and spoke " Please. I will not .. choose.. anyother."
Victor blinked and shook his head. Tarryn stopped crying and sat down on the ground and spoke " Kill ...me"
Tarryn had found her resolve. Victor grinned and rose his claw.
Tarryn lifted her hand to indicate for him to stop. Victor chuckled " So you have changed your mind?"
Tarryn stared at him " F..rr.ee..ze" She pointed at herself.
Eddy threw his hand baack andlaughed loudly and spoke into the night's sky " This is an interesting night I must say."
Jane watched as Joe pulled out a black dagger. The knifes blade bubbled black bubbles. Jane knew it was invisible. She had seen quite a few invisible
things but this was different. It was still invisible though.Jane watched in horror as she threw it at Tarryn.
Jane couldnt warn them. Tarryn was deaf. She screamed out " STOP" at the knife.
Her "stop" didnt sound like a "stop" at all. The world seemed to freeze. A large beam of light encased the black knife.
The black bubbles evaporated in the light. Victor saw the knife and watched in fascination as a line of blue ice shot from his mouth totally
freezing the knife in place.
Everyone was confused and shocked by the events. Joe took the oppotunity to run for it. Jane watched as the ground "grabbed" both her feet.
Jeffery appeared next to Joe.
All the dragons were in a clutter and were confused.
Eddy's voice boomed "Silence!"
Silence was immediate.
Eddy spoke in a commanding voice as he paced " Ok. Let me understand the situation. Joe threw a Dark Night dagger at Tarryn. Jane removed the dark curse
with the light of Heal which she could only have done with a roar. Then Victor fronze it even though his dragon powers have been useless since the accident. "
A few nods came from the dragons. Eddy spoke in his commanding voice " So Victor it is your choice."
Victor grinned " Very well. I will make her my scholar. Will you do the honours?"
In a flash Eddy was by Tarryn side with a dull bracelet in his hand.
Tarryn saw the bracelet and a huge grin came over her face. She lifted her left arm high in the sky.
Victor gently tapped it with his claw and it crumbled. Eddy clamped the dull bracelet around her wrist and it suddenly shone bright white like
snow. Victor grinned. Tarryn jumped up and down in excitement. She ran over and hugged his leg which made Victor chuckle.

Eddy returned to Jane's side and he spoke " It is time."
Each dragon flapped its powerful wings and formed a circle around the two of them. Victor left Tarryn as he formed the circle with the rest.
Each of the dragons bowed their heads. Eddy spoke " Let all the dragons of the seven lines witness this. "
Faron and Ruby rose together and roared in union. Each dragon did the same but each sounded different, unique.
Jane was fascinated by this.
Suddenly the sky was filled will dragons. There were brown ones, red ones, green ones , white ones, dark blue, light blue. Of each Noble line.
They were mini versions of Victor, Jeffery, Ruby , Faron , Ria, Arnold and Lupis.
They all landed around the circle and enlarged it.
Eddy's voice grew louded and echoed " Fredric ,Matthew ,Helan ,Nathan ,Arnold Snr and Luzulli. Do you wish to join us? Or do you wish to watch from there?
I am sure it must be tiring not freeze Fredric or Burrow Matthew or Burn Roger or Soar Nathan or Grow Arnold or Swim Luzulli."
" It is. I have not frozen anything for too many years." A man's deep voice came from the grass. His figure slowly began to appear. Jane could only see his
shape though. The figure suddenly changed into a dragon and a very tall pure white dragon stood.
" Very tiring. I have not burrowed in many a year." Another figure emerged. He too changed into a dragon. A broad brown dragon.
" It has been too long since I last fought you Edward. I feared you had gone and lost". A cool womans voice came. She changed into a huge red dragon which
blew fire from its nostrils.
" I havent felt the wind against my face for too long. " He changed into a slender, noble looking light blue dragon.
The next figure was short and thin. He spoke " The forest is in need of my touch." The mand changed into an emerald scaled dragon.
The last figure walked slowly " O how I wish to swim. Deep into a lake I say and sleep for many years." She changed into a dark blue dragon which lazy
flew.
All of the dragons which came from the darkness of the night moved to the front of the circle.
Eddy spoke " My friends reunite with your sons and daughters. Tonight is a interesting night."
The tall noble looking light blue dragon spoke " Edward where is my dear daughter Ria?"
Eddy grinned " Nathan ,She had taken her mate off into the mountains. She shall returned and then you will see her with her new lover"
Nathan grinned " That girl is rebel to the end I say and you only promoted it."
Eddy grinned and then when the seven new comers had settled. Eddy faced Jane and looked at her straight in the eyes " Jane will you be my mate for life."
Jane felt her heart melt. Jane spoke through her mind " Eddy answer my question correctly and you will get the answer you wish."
"very well. What is your question" Came his thought. Jane spoke " Are you the golden dragon?".
Eddy grinned and spoke aloud " Now Jane I didnt hear that. Please repeat that." Jane felt small against all these dragons but wanted an answer " Eddy are
you the golden dragon?"
Silence. Eddy's laughed echoed. The laugh deepened, Jane watched as Eddy grew bigger. Bigger. His laugh echoing. Bigger still. He became visible as he
grew. He finally stopped growing when he was over three buildings high and very wide. His golden scales reflected the light of the moon. He could have
easy quashed her like a bug. Tears of joy were at Jane's eyes. Edward boomed dragon voice spoke " does that answer your question ?" Jane nodded and
sobbed. Edward spoke " So Jane what is your answer? Will you along with me, along with these glorious dragons protect the world from evil? Will you become
my queen?" Jane was blown away. Her queen!?!?! She didnt know anything about being queen.
Eddy's cheerful voice came in her head " Jane. Answer the question already." Jane pouted and then she shouted " Yes I will.
Thats when all broke loose. The sky was light with fire blazing. Dragon zipped in the sky. The ground shook. Ice was all around. Water droplets fell from
a cloudless sky.
Eddy changed into a man and claim her lips. The moon lit them up like actors on a stage. Displaying for all to see. The new king and queen.
