Like how "pretty boys" such as Justin Bieber, Zac Efron, Johnny Depp, Leo DiCaprio (when he was younger), the members of Hanson, etc. are really popular with women and considered attractive. Plus calling a man beautiful or even pretty isn't usually considered an insult. Not saying that most men would like to be called pretty but it clearly wouldn't offend them the way calling a woman handsome would.

BUT

Women who are masculine usually aren't considered attractive and calling a woman handsome is looked at as an insult. Teen girls obviously love feminine looking guys (like Bieber) but I have a hard time picturing teen boys getting hard over former WWF wrestler, porn star and current teacher in Japan (look it up) Chyna. Guys go for feminine looking women and a lot (not all) of woman go for feminine looking men.

Basically what I'm asking is why do you think feminine features on men are considered attractive but the opposite usually isn't.

 

It seems to me that there are those that prefer the masculine female. We all have our kinks after all. A submissive male comes to mind in that regard.

What strikes me even more oddly is the average lesbian couple. A usual scene in my experience is seeing a submissive female paired with a short-haired, masculine female. I realize that sounds like a stereotypical comment but if it is true, then stereotyping is irrelevant.

My question would be, if I knew that a violent backlash wouldn't occur, is... why a masculine female is preferred if you are a lesbian? Both would seem to prefer a more feminine woman as opposed to a masculine one. I mean, if the female walks and acts like a man, why not just get a man?

Something I've always wondered too, I know that an extremely masculine looking lesbian is still a woman and has breasts and a vagina. But if I were a lesbian I wouldn't be able to get over the masculine outside appearance.
