It's been over a week and I am still sick. Not nearly as bad as I was a week ago, but still icky and still coughing a lot.

Tomorrow I have an appointment to sign up for the WIC program (for the non-Americans who don't know what this is, please take a few seconds to look it up). I hope I will qualify considering I have no income or any other way to provide for myself (much less for a baby). Thursday I have my first appointment with a baby doctor. I'm not sure what to expect other than the preliminary first-time-patient paperwork and such. I'll keep you all updated.

The WIC appointment went very well today. Now I get to stock up on foods such as milk, cheese, bread, peanut butter, juice, fruits, veggies, and cereals...and it won't cost me a thing. I am very grateful for this program. I wouldn't know what I'd do without it.

 

Over the past few weeks I've lost nearly 10 lbs (yay lack of appetite). I've also apparently shrunk in height by an inch. How odd.

 

Congrats on the weight loss, not to sure on the shrinkage.

 

Today was the first doc visit. I didn't actually see my OB today (that won't be for another couple of weeks), but I saw her nurse practitioner. Today was all about initial registration, paperwork, bloodwork, and peeing in a cup (which I was told I'd have to do at every appt from here on out). When they asked if I've been taking prenatal vitamins and I said that I haven't been able to get any yet, they called in a prescription to a local pharmacy and I was able to get free vitamins until the end of my pregnancy!! All in all I am pleased with how well I am treated at this place and feel that I have made the right decision in having my baby there.

Today was my first ultrasound. Hearing the heartbeat for the first time was a bit emotional. I didn't cry, but I almost did. And when I actually saw the little thing, I couldn't help but be all smiles.

 

I love your beaming, glowing smile. You are a MILF to be.

 

I told the bf about me being pregnant. He is not taking it well. He won't look at me or talk to me. Chances are this could be the end of a 4.5 year relationship. I want to wake up from this nightmare...I can't handle this...

I wish he would support you more with this. The idea of having a child is extremely overwhelming as it is but then not to be supported can make it worse. I would suggest that you work hard at enjoying the experience and know that you are making a miracle. You are creating a human life and keeping safe and alive. Its a hard thing to do but it can be amazing!!!!!!

 

if he stays hes a keeper if not well his lose. You a sensuous beautiful women who is bring a living being into this world. That is an amazing thing. Take care of yourself and baby let him figure his issues out. It will be ok. This promise is sealed with the name Gaia!
