and I've gone to HR. THE only thing that i was told is that this guy.is an ongoing problem and they will handle it.

He has accused me of doing.things on the job that i have never done. For example, i work retail. He says i have put merchandise in the wrong location. He talks down to me in front of customers. just short of yelling at me if you want to know. like i said my manager said he is an ongoing problem. but it's been 3 weeks since I've gone to HR and this guy is still.doing the same shit. every fucking day!!!!!!

 

When he says you put stuff in the wrong section do you correct him on the spot? Stand up for yourself? When he talks down to you, do you have a come back ready and address it at the time?

He will eventually have his day, no one gets away with it forever. It may look like it but this will eventually catch up to him. Perhaps for now change your focus to what you do have and give thanks for having a job and the things that you do have control over. Sometimes that is all we can do and you have to let nature take its course but he will have his day sooner or later and if it is later just think of how well you are building tolerance. Have you tried to get any of this on film? Do your co workers go with you to make complaints? Have you put your complaints in writing? If all else fails ask for Brutus's phone number. haha

And last but not least if that doesn't pan out walk by and blow a silent but deadly fart.

 

Then one, try to avoid him an if the idiot continues, have a friend come over and pretend to be a customer, but pretend like you two dun know each other, then after he treats you bad in front of customer(~~~) then have your friend report it, a siege from all sides!

In the retail biz I work at, when a customer calls the company customer service number to submit a complaint, the complaint goes to the head honchos of the company, who then email the managers at the store and demand to know what's going on and why the problem is persisting and how they plan to fix it.

I'm not going to tell you what retail company I work for, but I will tell you it's one of the big box stores that are all over with billions of dollars of revenue. If they do this sort of thing, i'm pretty sure your company does the same thing.

try making peace with this "CoWorker"; I had a similar situation in the USN (where you CANT get away from a personell conflict; and if it's with a superior you're just stuck with it, unless....you get even)

In a retail environment it should be possible to get a position away from this person. Meanwhile, be nice to everyone else you work with, and try to make friends.

When talking to co workers, do not make a point of complaining about this person. This may give you a bad reputation. Try to sense what others think about him.

If you are new to the company, and if he has been there for a long time, there are reasons he has not been fired earlier. Try to figure out what they are. He has probably made strategic friendships with important people in the company. He may be good at something that is important to the functioning of the company.
