  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

    I have a ASUS laptop it's about a year old windows 7.

Every time I install windows updates I get the blue screen and have to recover my system.

Is there a update I should be looking to uninstall?

I have all updates and no problems.

It sounds like your hard drive has some physical problems. You will want to run a scan of all sectors, and find out how much a replacement will cost you just in case.

Shadow: I don't know if this site will hold the answer, but there is from Microsoft a place called "Seven Forum" where they discuss problems with the operating system.

Here is the link, I hope it helps out:

Remove the updates and install them one at a time until one makes it crash. I have had this problem before, the programmers at microsoft are far from perfect..

    Shadow,
This isn't a fix, but you could try. Allow only the updates that you think you need, as opposed to letting Windows download them all. Process of elimination, and you could blue screen many times till you found it. Wouldn't be a bad idea to take a looksee at
snowleopard's link. I'm running several Asus machines, and a big fat Asus mainboard in the one I'm on, and haven't had any probs so far. Make sure you don't have a program running in the background when your machine is initializing the update, perhaps it's a particular program you have that's causing an issue.

Thanks guys, I seem to have got it worked out.

Usually the laptop went to the blue screen after I restarted it. Done it several times since the update and no problems.

Windows can be a pain when updating. Though your problem is solved, I'd still wonder if your copy is stock or not . I mean has it been modified in some way by a third party ? Then some updates may be accepted, others not.
For instance there was this cool looking Dark Edition going around that wouldn't take many updates. I had to head to safe mode to fix things.
