i have never met anyone from this site, but I have met people from other sites.

I used to frequent places called TALKERS... you reached them through TELNET programs. They were an earlier evolution of the bulletin boards, with different chat rooms. Each site was based on a theme, my favorite was based on a location in New York City - called THE VILLAGE. It was modeled after THE GREENICH Village in New york city, near where I lived at the time. Most of the users were college age, same as me at the time.

Unfortunately, I have only connected with a few people on here... and no one I've made friends with were "close" enough to want to meet. It doesn't help that I'm not on here nightly.

 

I hear that, but I do think you can get a vibe off someone, even from posts/PMs. The real crazies (and, sadly, there are some) will eventually just seem....off.

It always helps to read posts that aren't just "Whoo ha" posts in the Pic thread. People seem to show truer colors when they're talking about just plain ol' stuff.

In the end, follow your instincts. Your gut feeling will rarely let you down. And if it tells you someone is a) safe and b) likely to be a lot of fun, go have fun! And take a condom or three.

 

I meet one person who is no longer here she spent a month with me before she had to deploy over seas we clicked on every level sex,talk,food and fun I think of her often . Sadly it could never happen again she was killed by a terror attack her best friend told me in what would have been out nightly chat I will never forget her

Wow! This thread has been very popular today. I for one have never met anyone from this site, however I am on SLS and have met a few couples and very select single guys that I have enjoyed... You definitely have to be cautious and careful when meeting anyone you meet online, no matter the website. Trust your gut feelings, every single time. I look forward to following the ones who are still planning/waiting. In the mean time, let's get naked and have fun! After all isn't that why we come here in the first place?

 

I have never met anyone I talked to online. I am like everyone else and agree that you must be careful and always trust your gut instinct. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Look hard and you will see through the fakes.

 

Over the years I have invited 6 or 7 men to meet at some neutral location, just as an initial meet and greet with very little success.
We would make a firm date to meet at a certain place and time then fail to show. Out of 7 invites only 2 men ever showed up. One was a 50 something white guy who had been portraying himself here as a mid 20's black man. I still cant understand why he even stepped into the bar that night, total fail.
But the other guy showed up and was exactly as he had described himself and we had a good time that evening and he has since joined our swing group and I have enjoyed myself many times with him since then.
But I have pretty much given up on using this site as a venue to meet new men because this is more of a fantasy/voyeur site than a meeting site.

While a crazy amount of the time people tend to flake out here I have had two people that where absolutely fantastic and well worth all the bull I have put up with by all the fakes. So as many fakes as there are, there are the occasional people that are genuine.

Sadly, so many of the real ones get either scared away or eight ways of annoyed by the fakes and crazies. Most of them just stop showing.

 

Maybe about 10 people so far. 3 that are part of my regulars now.

It's been a great place to find some people into my particular.."interests" haha

 

I had that one meeting, and with the success of it, it gave me a desire for more. I do often talk with a member who I am interested in, and hope to one day meet her as well. The thing about this site, is that it is hard to get personal. I have attempted to talk to 3 females lately but either they are not interested in me, or there is such a vast selection of guys that I get lost in the crowd.

 

If you had asked me on Jul 6, 2013 if I was ever going to meet someone in person off of this site, I would have laughed hysterically. Fast forward a couple of months and it was a different story and still is, with the same guy I might add!!

Last place I expected to meet someone, which is funny really, because where else was I going to meet someone as filthy minded as me

I was contacted by a lady on here who lived 30 or so miles from me and we chatted once with intent to meet but I have never heard from her again. I've been looking for Missourians but the ones I hear about live too far away.

 

Met someone from here... ended up being my boss's hubby. guess we'll see what happens

as one of you said earlier in the thread, here are many people from US, little from Europe.i'm from Zagreb, Croatia and i doubt many people from Croatia knows about this forum.also one said, that many people here are in marriage or have relationships so they stay only for chatting.
i'm married and have wife older than me 4 years (i'm 26, she's 30) and we don't spend much time having sex together.
i don't know why she's so cold or not interested in sex and i can surely said that she has noone else besides me, even she tried once to cheat on me.
besides that little life story of mine, i would like to meet someone for casual meeting, not for hanging out, just to have ''one night fun''.
