A few problems:

Are homosexuality and these aforementioned things disorders? I see them as states of existence. Disorder is a value judgement term, and I try to avoid value judgment terms when talking about sexuality.

It is bonobos, not chimps. One last animal point, you forgot dolphins. They have sex for pleasure and rape all the time. I will just ignore your point on saying that other animals are not gay, because I do not feel like getting into it with you.

This last one is a more general question: To what extent does it really matter if non-het behavior is genetic or social? Is it so we can write it off as a disease or so we can curtail this "disorderly" behavior? The most ironic part about this is the US republicans who want to say it is a choice are contradicting their stance on individual freedoms. You can have your gun, your Confederate flag, and your bible, but don't have sex with a person of your sex. Coming down on the side of genetics does not really do much other than to say they were born that way.

I am not trying to prove one side or the other, but for me, I was taught for the better portion of 20 years that homosexuals were the devil incarnate with very little influence to the contrary. The whole time I was sexually attracted to both men and women. I know anecdotes do not prove anything, but just my two cents.

 

Additional thoughts:

Why can't we just live and let live? If we as a collective sat around and thought about it long enough, we would see that there is zero problems with non-het people. The problems we do have are nothing more than 2000+ year old nonsense, both religion and tradition. Religion is an appeal to authority, and tradition is an appeal to... well tradition. Both arguments are fallacies. Saying it is unnatural is an appeal to nature, which is also a fallacy.

As to the point of same sex couples not being able to reproduce, neither can 50 year old women, people struck with infertility, and hermaphrodites. The other problem with this argument is one would have to accept that sex is only to reproduce, which is not a position I can get accept but I would love to see solid arguments for it.

 

Though exactly the same words could be used by the gay community towards the rest of society, so you are either a hypocrite or you have homophobic tendencies.

Ok...what don't you get? Sex is to reproduce. Which is why the drive is there. How many people do you think would reproduce if the drive wasn't there given the pain of child birth and the work to raise children? I doubt if anybody would sign on to that. The human race, like they do everything, have distorted and corrupted it for their own pleasure. Every animal species on the planet has this drive to reproduce. It ensures the survival of the species. The good Lord is a smart man if I may be so blunt. He knew how to keep things going. Well, that was until women stared killing their babies for convenience. But that's a whole other issue.

The key word here is only. We do not have sex just to reproduce. We can. We do. We also have sex for recreation (and all of the variants thereof), and if you do not think that is a thing... good sir, you are on a porn forum. You went back to appeals to authority and nature. I believe that some people are gay because of past terrible sexual experiences but to be born gay to me is a lifestyle choice.Surely if being gay was a natural as not being gay then being bi-sexual would be the same. Leading on from that would our reproductive organs not reflect that after all sex is a pre-curser to reproduction if you desire to stop it before it gets that far then that is your choice.

The act of attempting to define the very precepts of who or what a person is or can be based on who or what they have sex with is a waste of life because even so called straight men admit that if they have ever tried to have a finger in their ass massaging their prostate when they orgasm they prefer it to be done often. That does not make them gay or even bi-sexual nor does it make them straight, it just proves that they have taken the chance at a new experience and found something they enjoy.
