I like "Daddy" in a sub/dom context, and not every man is up to the title. Some daddies are actually younger than me, and none of them - not one - remind me of my actual father. On the other hand, the only people that call me Mommy are my children, and I'm keeping it that way.

It's a southern thing. I've always found it a little funny that some people can't separate an affectionate nickname from incest. There are hundreds of blues songs where someone is called Daddy, Poppa, Mamma, etc.

Nobody is confused about the pistol or the wagon, but Daddy and Papa gets them bent out of shape.

 

I find it positively awful. I've role played it once to the best of my ability but never again. That said, I am comfortable not judging here (yes I'm human and occasionally I judge the judges!).
