Considering that recently it was against the rules all of the sudden to have any mention of individuals under eighteen engaging in sexual activities. This included news stories being discussed I'd seek clarification before posting anything.

@Natasha Rizario : If you look at the rules page, you will see that the age restriction that was set at 18 is now gone. I have heard that you can write stories with characters as young as 13. Your mileage may vary. I suspect if you write about you, at that age, and several others, at that age, discovering sex, you'll have a far, far better chance of it being allowed vs. if you write about a 13 year old having sexual relations with a 35 year old.

Geez. Took me a while just to find the rules page. There's no mention of it on the story site that I can see.

"Under 18" is frequently used to have kids in high school fucking each other and consensually fucking adults (often with the younger person as the instigator), including incest situations with their parents or others. Since lots of high school kids are sexually active, that's actually a pretty honest thing to do.

Pedophile stories tend to be more the angle of adults fucking kids that are barely out of puberty or not even in it yet. That tends to have more of a molestation bent, or if not is particularly absurd since most kids that age would never attempt sex with an adult. Most people outside of this fetish find these types of stories to be particularly creepy. Almost universally this is the type of behavior that is targeted by age of consent laws, even though it's the consensual stuff mentioned above that gets caught up in such laws more often.

A grayer area I suppose would be a kid just out of puberty being molested by an older but still under-18 kid. You still have the rape and too-young victim aspect but without the pedophile side of it.

 

You should also keep in mind that the people here cannot actually put an age out there if they are smart. They have no wish to challenge the laws. So the only way to find out is to post a story and see what happens. Would be better if you were not banned right away though, and only told to take it down.

 

Actually all stories on the story site get reviewed before they go up if the reviewer feels it's even marginally possible a story violates the rules they will reject it.

 

This forum is just a fucking joke. Authors were told to withdraw their stories and now, suddenly, they are acceptable again. Do you really expect that authors are so desperate that they will repost their banned stories? I, for one, won't be posting any stories here ever again. If the owner of the site wants to treat the writers like shit then he can go fuck himself.

While 18 may be politically correct, I think 13 is more realistic. I read some statistics a while back and the average age people have sex for the first time is around 16 or 17. The mediocre age is even lower, 14 or 15.

Of course on such stories you got to watch for pedophelia, but that doesn't mean there can't be beautiful stories about youngsters. First love is always a beautiful subject for stories, and that generally happens way before you're 18. Some stories become unrealistic because the characters are said to be 18 but are far less mature than an 18 year old and you just know they shifted the age in order for the story to get published but in the uncensored version of the story they're much younger.

Of course you don't have to go as liberal as Asstr. Their policy is that as long as it's fictional and not based on reality anything goes and according to their legal statement that's as far as the law can be stretched. But I think 13 should be a good age limit. In reality, it does happen at younger age sometimes but not often so we don't have to write about that. But more importantly, the definition of pedophelia is an adult who's into young children and I think that's where to draw the line. Even if they're 13 or older, if the age difference is too big it can still be denied for pedophelia. Pedophelia isn't about young age itself, it's about a large age difference.
