  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Since this thread no longer seems to hold any interest in "the pipeline issues".
here's a bit of interesting info:

    The "Nubian Sandstone Aquifer System"
is the worlds largest known fossil water aquifer ,
and Gaddafi's Great Manmade River Project is now taking about
    2.4 cubic kilometers
of water out of it every year.

    pipes for the GMR

That would fill a lake of 2,400hectares
    100 meters deep
    or
    5,930 acres , 328 feet deep

Central Park NY is 843 acres ,
so would be covered by about 2,000 feet

    Hyde Park , London 340 acres ,
so it would make a lake
    about 5,700 feet deep

    Whatever , it's a shit load of water :)

    Oh ,
the aquifer is believed to hold about
    150,000km³
so it might supply Libya for say about
    70,000 years maybe
    well not really ,
but probably no human will have to worry about it ,
or if they do , they'll be about 200,000 generations after your grandchildren :)

hope they do something good with the water....

The worlds largest irrigation project ,
      primarily the Kufra Oasis.

Remember the Sahara has very fertile ground.
Dust from the Sahara every year ,
is the reason the Amazon jungle survives.
Without it , the fertility would be leached out by the rains , and the jungle would not survive.

The Sahara was a lush , productive , populated area about 6 - 6,500 years ago , before climate change killed it :)

wolf it is still about the pipeline and its leaks as well as the effects those spills and leaks have on the environment including our needed water supply that already is in too short supply for just the people we have now
sadly many refuse to understand that surface spills effect more than just the surface of the planet

[IMG]this graphic is oil spills from tankers aka ships from 1970 up to 2016
[IMG]if you will notice the one state that does not require any permits, inspections, or oversight of pipe lines is the leader in spills and is a red state with bought and paid for leaders
alaska has tight restrictions on pipelines and does not even register on the chart why is that?

Quote me next time you little piece of cowardly trash.

The water table is simply the highest point of underground water saturation. It has nothing to do with a confined or unconfined aquifer.

This is called the definition of "water table". It's also known as groundwater level.

This educational experience brought to you by someone who actually went to college and actually understands the subject. And your self righteous diagram actually does display this - that's why it's at lake level. And in said diagram, the water table is PART OF THE UNCONFINED AQUIFER AT GROUNDWATER LEVEL.

Idiot. At least get a diagram that attempts to help your point. You guys don't even understand what you post!

But I suppose that's why you don't have the balls to quote me. Trashy piece of shit.

i didnt quote you because you were the only one that did not understand the first fucking thing about what you were spouting off about like a raving madman that was bitten by a rabid republican
jesus fucking christ you are so into youre own self and how you are better than EVERYONE ELSE that you are using different words to say EXACTLY WHAT 2 OF US ALREADY SAID
next time instead of grabbing a soap box to preach from try reading

it seems you dont since i said from the outset that there were confined and unconfined aquifers and never quiveled about that
      what i did say was
we do drink what you call ground water every day, they're are 2 versions of it open source ground water and unconfined groundwater aquifers
open source would be rivers, lakes, and streams, any source that is open to the air and not covered by any natural covering
unconfined aquifers are what is known as the water table, underground rivers and lakes, and even confined man made water tanks
a confined aquifer is simply a water source that is covered by a natural material that is harder than simple topsoil

and that is exactly what every geologist knows as it is directly from the national geological society of north america
remember some people even refer to a swimming pool as an aquifer because it holds water
get off the highhorse and learn to read english

Then I would highly suggest you learn English and no longer suggest a pipeline doesn't already exist....followed by I would highly suggest you don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

the area in blue dashes is the new part aka the expansion the orange is the original pipeline why this comes into play is because the leak happened 3 miles south of amherst south dakota and the ONLY pipe line there is the original line in fact its highlited in green so you can see it just under the north dakota state line

    1. An aquifer is an underground area with semi or non permeable materials that hold water
    2. The water table is simply the top of the ground water
    3. This isn't really asking anything, but the Ogallala aquifer is surrounded with clay and it does move a little bit.

Quote me if you want answers.

You are as good as that stumbler character at C/P

And Steyer's opinion is just as irrelevent.

There are pipelines criss-crossing this nation everywhere, I have 3 of them running through my property, one of them was installed in '48, the other 2 were installed in the mid '70's

    The shit breaks.

Everyone knows what the otherside thinks about it, Obama blocked it for years, he didn't block it because he wanted too, he blocked it due to his big money donors told him to do it....like Steyer.

Yes I will continue to place you in the similar category as that character Stumbler..because...I CAN.

Why is it that some people come out against the use of fossil fuels but never slow down their personal use of fossil fuels?
Are they taking Gore as their god and doing as he does?
Maybe their idea of getting rid of fossil fuels is to use as much as they can.

my trucks have been on bio-diesel for over 10 years, the cars use ethanol
we use lubricants for transmissions and differentials that are veggie oil based and hydraulic fluids are all synthetics that do not use petroleum
i reuse almost everything until it is beyond reuse and even then recycle it
i still grow most of my own food and do not buy anything i cannot get locally
our old house and the new one both are fully powered by solar power and a battery back up
and for the record the only person i am taking after is generations of people that lived off the land and did not need to be greedy

I remember when JPT first came here to this forum and I remember him being all pissed off at Obama
and the USA for blocking the pipeline----he then spent a lot of time slamming the USA for anything he could find....

I think the tar sands should have never been mined in the first place-----they are a nasty ecological mess....

They're mining it in a different country, different laws, different regulations.

When it hits the U.S. border it has been refined.

Coal is essentially extracted in the same manner here in the U.S.....it is what it is.

tar sands. Bitumen also requires additional upgrading before it can be refined. Because it is so viscous (thick), it also requires dilution with lighter hydrocarbons to make it transportable by pipelines.

In American Theocracy Kevin Phillips said that there is an direct relationship between gasoline consumption and support for the Republican Party. Republicans are more likely to own SUV's. Democrats are more likely to own cars that conserve on gasoline, and to take public transportation. Those who buy magazines like Motor Trend and Rod & Custom are more likely to vote Republican.

We are seeing more welfare riders all of the time and they believe in voting a tax increase on everyone who does pay taxes.

How in earth was this allowed ?

That has got to be the most ludicrous , ridiculous , stupid , ignorant , corrupt way if judging
    "Public Interest"
    ever conceived.

That is the sort of thing you would expect if Putin was in charge.

oh , but of course ,
you have a Putin admirer in charge :)

Under that type of criteria , you have access to endless non fossil energy , with no pipelines.
Just build a nuclear power plant in the middle of every city.

    Problem solved.

    Even better ,
    you could have
    Nuclear road trains ,
    pulling multiple trailers .
Nuclear river barges on rivers like the Miss issippi , oh hio and hud son.
    Nuclear coastal shipping.
    and nuclear trains
    and rapid rail.
