... getting my wisdom teeth removed while awake wasn't as bad as the pain I'm in now, four days later. Fucking fuck fuck teeth fuck.

I had two of them removed, and it was surprisingly easy. The other two are still there, turned sideways, waiting to breed trouble.

Hope you feel better soon. Did they give you some pain pills at least?

 

I'm alternating T3's with Advil and it's just barely dulling the pain. I hate taking pills and usually only take a wee ibuprofen for only my worst headaches.

 

well for some reason I started growing mine at 15... I thought I should have been a bit older before they even started, got my top ones removed

there was this one guy who didnt start growing his till he was 80

 

If you experience a lot of pain, you might have a dry socket and may need to go back to the oral surgeon. I know you don't want to hear that, but it happened to me once. UGH

 

true story.

had to get my back molar refilled. went to the dentist. he told me it would be better to remove the sucker. i fell for it.

the torture began. he pulled and pulled to no avail. kept injecting my gums with novacaine. i can remember the sound of the drill, the smell of enamel grinding against metal. the unique smell.

nothing budge.

he then tells me the root of the tooth is hooked under my jaw bone so the only way to get it out is to cut it side ways by slicing into the gums. i'm too weak and drugged up to protest.

he continues.

blood everywhere.

more injections.

more blood.

finally cuts through and pulls the bloody pulp of what's left of my tooth out. there's blood all over my shirt & his, even his glasses are splattered.

he washes my mouth out and tells me to pay the receptionist but gives me half off.

i sue him for malpractice. the case is pending.

I had my four back teeth removed to allow them to grow through as they were "coming out at an angle." I now have three big gaps only one filled the gap the others came through straight. Fucking dentists.

 

In the scheme of things, I place dentists at the bottom even worse than used car dealers and ministers.

Readers Digest did a nationwide survey years ago and found that for the same work they got dental estimates of $300 to $3000. Plus the dentist claiming more work had to be done than was really needed.

I have a friend right now who was victimized by one of them and she refused when he tried to continue it with fear tactics. Time has proved him WRONG.

Every tooth I have lost or that is damaged was due to poor dentistry. The cap that caused it to decay under it. The groove in one tooth caused by the polishing wheel. The good tooth I finally had pulled due to the compacted polishing powder in the cuff that caused continual pain and necrosis of the tissue.

After that I never allowed them to use polishing powder again.
Now I never let them polish again. Polishing removes the outer enamel coating and then the inner tooth surface is open season for cavities forming.

So you should have your teeth cleaned and polished every six weeks so that the dentists can charge you more times, and ultimately get to make lots of money off your teeth they damaged.

I have not a seen a dentist in 13 years and may never see another one. I have a groove in one tooth and had one break partly off from the damage they caused. I have no pain , I have all my original teeth except the three they caused me to lose.

 

Elli, go look outside in the morning, you live in the most beautiful spot in North America, it will take your mind off of the pain.

I had all four removed and had a root canal on the same day. It went really well
. Dont be afraid and hope for the best. The dentist isnt as bad as it used to be. I have had alot of work done and no horror stories.

 

i had the bottom two taken out and i was back to work the next day. really good job. but i went to a oral surgeon not a dentist. much better

On Vancouver: Yes, today was a gorgeous spring day. I went outside briefly and watched my boyfriend wash his car in the sunshine.

On my teeth: Advil liquigels interspersed with Tylenol3's seem to be holding the pain at bay. I swallowed some string last night, which means two of my stitches have already fallen out. not sure if this is good or bad. I'm seeing the dentist for a checkup at 9am.

 

sexy girls like you shouldn't have to deal with shit like that. wisdom teeth suck; i know from experience.

i would pop some vicodin if i were you.

"I took out all four of mine last year. They didnt put me to sleep, although I wish they would have.

Sat me down in the chair, I was kinda nervous. Pulled out a fat needle and injected my gums (it hurt) with numbing stuff. Felt like the needle literally went through my entire right gum side to the left when they did the right and vice versa. After my mouth was numb, my tongue became kinda numb. They lowered me some more and I started to choke horribly on my saliva.

Afterwards, he got out some tools. First he drilled the tooth, then cracked it (you can hear it crack), then pulled out the pieces. Four times he did that, for all four of my teeth. Rinsed my mouth a bit. Made me bite on some cotton and gave me some pain killers.

Went home, took some pills and changed cotton. Changed it every 30 min for about 2 hours. Couldnt really eat anything BUT soup. Food gets stuck, and you cant brush your teeth for like 2 days or something.

But anyways, good luck !! "

 

Yay! No more pain and my holes are almost closed up! The dentist fixed my dry socket that was causing all that pain, so I'd consider the ordeal pretty much over now.

 

They told me I was too stupid to have wisdom teeth .....so quit braggin' you fuckin' Einsteins.....

I started getting mine at 14!!
They grew really really slowly. Until about.. when i was 16
They stopped gowing for a year or two and didnt cause any trouble.
But im getting them pulled soon. Hahaha.​
