after a long day at the office..

 

I realized I forgot my keys.

 

Shit! The office was already locked, and my tear-shaped plastic access key thingy was helplessly imprisoned on my key chain.

 

"May I help you, Miss?" a voice asked from behind me.

 

Turning, I say "I left my keys in the locked..." my voice trails off as I see the man standing there.

1. I see the quick flash of light from the blade in his right hand. His face has turned menacing. "Now, just be cool, and I won't have to hurt you."

I tried to read his face, it seemed kind enough..

 

with his deep blue eyes looking innocently at me.

 

In a soft tone he said

 

"My name is Roger. I live around the block."

 

"I don't usually take rides from people I just met, but it does look like it's going to storm," I say as I look at the sky and back at him.

 

We walked in silence to his car, a newer model SUV. I couldn't help but reflect on the current gas prices and feel a little sorry for his choice in vehicle.

 

He started the SUV, Looked at her with a smile and asked: Were to?

 

I gave him my address. Thunder cracked in the sky making me jump and my hand went to my breast. His gaze followed my hand...
