Hey ya'll any one around here like Batman??? If so let me know what ya think! any where from the comics, to the cartoons, movies, games, and so on!

 

I liked the first film, then it started getting silly but swung back to good with the Dark Knight, so I am looking forward to the next film. Comics are not the big thing over here in England that they are in the US.

Nolan did a great job on the new movies, bringing them into the modern era with a realistic edge but as I'm sure he has realised, there is only so much you can do before the same thing happens as did the 80's/90's films and you have to become slightly more theatrical with the characters.

I've never really read the comics as such, I know many of the storylines and the more obscure characters thanks to reading around the subject and playing Arkham Asylum (great game btw - can't wait for the new one). But I believe it has been/is suffering from some odd storylines these days like Bruce Wayne getting lost in time and jumping through the centuries being a different kind of batman in each era?! And now the whole bat-family thing.

The cartoons where pretty cool, with the whole art deco thing before it became the 'next generation' future batman thing.

I'm more of a Marvel fan but have always liked the idea of batman as he, like iron man, isn't a mutant or alien, just a regular human with some mad skills and a shit-load of money to create his alter-ego with.

 

I love the old TV show for it's total camp, and the new Dark Knight stuff for it's gritty realism. I was reading comics back when the Bane thing happened so I also enjoy the new games as well.

 

I'm 50 and I play them so it is way past adult.

Black Ops is awesome I gotta say myself but love the Batman Arkham Asylum game can't WAIT for Arkham City have WAY high expectations!:excited:

 

The old t.v. show had its moments, and I do enjoy the '89 Batman film along with the 90's films. I didn't care for the last two films thoughs. Arkham Asylum was a great game and am looking forward to Arkham City.

As I say all the time, people have different tastes, but to say "I like Batman because I like the old T.V. show" or "I like Batman because I liked the first Michael Keaton/Jack Nicholson film" is like saying I like sushi mi, but I can't stand fish or anything that is not cooked until it is well done."

You're talking apples and oranges.

 

I am still going for all the achievements, but Arkham Asylum is one I can always come back to and play. I love a game that is just a blast to play anytime you do.

I saw AMC is having a Batman marathon Sunday. They are showing Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman Begins. I know what I'm watching while doing laundry tomorrow

 

is batman forever the val kilmer & tommy lee jones 1 they went pear shaped after that lol they gave the batman nipples

 

Yeah :excited: That was the first batman movie I saw in the theater. I went to that one and Batman and Robin with my mom, and I went to The Dark Knight with a friend. I remember too when they played the Seal Kiss From a Rose music video for the movie on vh1 (I have the soundtrack on cassette lol).
