So while he's away in Amsterdam lets have some suggestions about what the Birdman gets up to.

(Clue: I'm not after the boring drugs and hookers type things. This is our very own Big Bird. Let's go for something random!)

My first suggestion is that he'll try dyke vaulting.

No not that sort of dyke! Although......

It's like pole-vaulting, only over a ditch filled with water.

Well, since you left out the REALLY fun stuff, here's what I did in Amsterdam...

1. The Anne Frank home
2. The Rijkmuseum (there's also a Rembrandt Museum, I think, but we didn't get there).
3. A concert at the Concertgebouw
4. A canal cruise
5. The Maritime Museum (we called it Sheep Fart, but I think it's Sheepvaart)

When we visited, there was a huge flower show called "Floriade" going on a few miles outside of Amsterdam, so I made my husband go along. Fabulous tulip displays. I don't think it's still there, but there are some beautiful botanical gardens in Amsterdam proper.

 

I knew he was going and heaven help Amsterdam is all I can say...
I'm sure if there is something for him to get into he'll have his bird butt stuck in there....You know him better so you tell us...

By the way, IMHO the biggest danger of being in Amsterdam is the 98% probability that you'll be hit by a bicycle.

 

I can see him drunk going down the street on someones bike...
Borrowed, of course, or riding on someones handlebars if the ride
their bikes in the winter...

 

Smoke some weed, maybe even do a 'shroom.

 

I think that given Bigbird's attitude to drugs, there's very little chance of him doing that.......!!

 

I was kidding around. But if it was me, you bet I would!!!!! For someone who had to say "no" when I was in the military and the many chances I could've taken (but gotten into trouble), now I can. So yes, I certainly would.

Ahhhh this is sooooooo sweet.

The weekend in Amsterdam, was a late Christmas party for the staff. As a firm we decided to pay for the flights, airport transfers, hotels, meal out, as much as you could drink at the meal out, and equivalent of $200 each couple for spending money.

There were 8 of us that went (4 husbands with their wives). It was ABSOLUTELY FANBLOODYTASTIC.

I went to Amsterdam with the Mrs, 10 years ago (pre-kids) and we left the kids with relatives and let out hair down.

What did I do?

Well - weekend without the kids, there was a good amount of shagging involved.
Went on a canal boat trip (yawn),
Went oggling women (Piggit - absolutely spot on assessment)
Went for a meal in a 700 seater Chinese restaurant (fuck me was that expensive)
Mrs wasn't up for going in to a sex show, so we made our own back at the Hotel.

Met up with the rest from work Sunday morning, and spent a really chilled couple of hours in a "Coffee" house, which sold whacky backy. No - I didn't partake, because I had to drive later in the day, but the mrs did, as well as most of the others in the group.Didn't smoke it, but they sold Chocolate brownies, made with Hash.

Spent the afternoon having a fucking good laugh in a dutch pub, watching some of the more stoned people in the group trying to eat a sandwich!

I have to say, almost got run over by a bike on more than one occasion - I don't know what it is about the Dutch, but :-

1. They are ALL absolutely stunningly gorgeous
2. They are REALLY friendly.

Can't wait to go back.

If I didn't have such strong bladder control, I honestly thinked I would have peed my pants a couple of times over the weekend. Sheer Class. Wow, Awesome, Oh my God. Hubba, Hubba, Hubba

Re the girls in the windows in Amsterdam - there are some absolutely STUNNING lookers - bit sad really that that's how they need to earn a living!
