This is the first time in a competition when I found adherence to the theme to be a significant factor in my voting.

I need to re-read about seven of them to decide which stories to eliminate. Not an easy task. And then I have to figure out which ones get which vote. Ugh. Why do you people make this so hard?

That would be nice, actually. Maybe engraved invitations to read would work better, though. It's a shame the hit counts are as low as they are.

Even with three votes to give to nine stories (more votes than I expected to have to cast), I'm stuck. I'm down to four stories in no fixed order with five that should get at least a formal honorable mention.

 

This was difficult. Some stories were more creep than crime, but all were enjoyable.
