Comey also had testified that he was “not aware” of any memorandum sent to the FBI on behalf of the DOJ providing information as to why Sessions recused himself.

But on Thursday night, the DOJ released the email sent by Chief of Staff Jody Hunt to then-Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente, Comey and others. The DOJ said the email was sent "specifically informing Mr. Comey and other relevant Department officials of the recusal and its parameters."

 

Comey has provided evidence to show that he is the one who broke the law.

Looks like he incriminated Loretta Lynch as well as himself in the Clinton e-mail cover up .

 

The more people check what Comey said under oath the more they catch him in a lie.
I don't know if Comey really believes all of the lies he told or didn't think anyone would check them.
It is getting much easier to see why Trump had to fire him.

 

The most damning thing I heard today is that the New York Times (which I don't read) was reporting on the contents of Comey's "notes/memo" four days BEFORE Comey said he passed them on to his "cut-out" contact at Columbia Law.

I don't read that fishwrap, so I can't verify the timeline. But if it's true, he likely perjured himself yesterday while he was spinning that ridiculous yarn in an attempt to portray himself as an overworked/underpaid/underloved martyr.

 

That fucking Comey, and this time he has gone too far.

He was caught in a lie and quoted as saying "Donald Trump is actually a really good guy" and was called on his shit ...

Despite admitting President Trump “simply hoped” the FBI would drop its probe into former national security advisor Michael Flynn, former FBI Director James Comey said he interpreted this as a direct order, which contradicts his sworn Senate testimony on May 3.

Comey now confirms Trump simply hoped the investigation into Flynn would end during their Feb. meeting in the White House, which Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) pointed out was a “wish” rather than an actual directive from the president.




But Comey claims he interpreted Trump’s wish as a direct order, which contradicts his sworn Senate testimony on May 3 in which he said from his experience, the Trump administration did not try to stop the investigation.

The former FBI director even told Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) it would “be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that – without an appropriate purpose.”

“But I’m talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal. It’s not happened in my experience,” he said.

Comey’s statement to Rubio also contradicts his February memo that the mainstream media claimed was a “smoking gun” against Trump, particularly the New York Times article from May 16 which sourced Comey’s memo to claim Trump asked him to shut down the probe.

 

I find it just laughable that people keep posting the lies coming out of the pro-Trump PR shops when Comey's testimony is already so famous and it so easy to find exactly what he said. Not what the PR hacks are SAYING he said.

 

Another thing the Trump supporters who didn't watch the hearing are missing two crucial points where Comey addressed Trump saying "I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go."

One was when a Republican Senator repeatedly tried to hammer Comey on Trump saying "I hope" showed that he was not actually telling Comey to drop the Flynn investigation. Which was when Comey said; "I took it as a directive." That was a bombshell which many legal experts say does in fact amount to "obstruction of justice."

But the other was when Sen. Kamala Harris pointed out later; "When a robber held a gun to somebody's head and said, 'I hope you will give me your wallet,' the word 'hope' was not the most operative word at the moment."

And there again is the case for obstruction of justice.

Let's do some word tracking here to see if we can determine who is the real liar.

This was Trump speaking to reporters in the Rose Garden yesterday.

Referring to Comey's testimony that Trump asked for his loyalty.

This defies both logic and reality. And the obvious reality is you don't ask someone you know to pledge their loyalty because you already know them and know whether they are loyal of not. You ask people you don't know to pledge their loyalty for future reference.

And this is an example of both Trump's delusion and a Freudian slip. Delusional because it is impossible for a president to put someone "under oath" in a private meeting. And a Freudian slip because Comey was actually testifying under oath and penalty of law. Where no one with Comey's extensive experience would do. And that reality is weighing heavily on Trump.

And when asked by a reporter if he would be willing to testify under oath.

This an insane bluff. For one news organizations are running multiple clips of where Trump has made similar boasts and never followed through. But even worse no competent attorney would allow his client to make such a reckless statement in public. And especially when that client is the President. Because for one thing it is not easy to make a president testify under oath. It has to be something really serious before they can make a president do that. But Trump just publicly volunteered to do that. And also because testifying under oath carries very severe penalties for anything else than the absolute truth and they don't want to expose their client to that danger if they can help it.

Then when asked about tape recordings Trump has alluded to.

Again this defies all logic. If Trump actually had any tape recordings of his meeting with Comey he would have already released them to prove Comey is the liar. And that is especially true given what Comey had already said and was going to testify in public. No one would suffer the absolute devastation Comey inflicted on Trump if they could avoid it. And again it allows news outlets to run multiple video clips of all the times Trump said he would reveal something in the near future but never did. Proving he was simply lying.

And then Trump also said Comey's testimony vindicated him

And again just absolute delusion and an out and out lie. Comey very specifically alluded to collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians and said he could not testify about it in an open hearing but could in a closed door hearing. And almost all legal experts agree that Comey very carefully and specifically laid out all the evidence needed to prove obstruction of justice.

So it is just plain obvious who is the real liar without even going into Trump's very long and well documented history of telling outrageous lies. And also more evidence of Trump's mental illness and his total detachment from reality.
