  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

For the last week or so I've been having trouble with foxfire and IE for this site. I have to try several times to post something. The message I get says to check with my internet connection, but I'm connected.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? It's very aggravating.

    This is the message:
    The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

    * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

It could be your actual internet, try re-setting your modem (turn it off, wait a sec. then turn it back on). I had to do this all the time with my crappy cable modem, sometimes you just need to reset it. If it keeps up, I recommend investing in a new modem.

I try resetting my modem once a week to prevent these kinds of problems.
Take the plugs out of it for 10 seconds or is what I would do when resetting it. It might take a minute to "come back to life" though.

It's a new router, but an older modem. It does it on other sites, too, but mostly this one. I thought it might be just with firefox, but I tried the IE and it did it with that, too.

That sounds like a good idea, bearman. Thanks!

I'd prefer for you to upgrade from IE, as it is very buggy and not secure.

Sure, resetting your router would work, but only for so long.

The next time it happens, open up command prompt and run "tracert forums.xnxx.com" (w/o quotations).

That should tell you if there are any breaks in the connections between your pc and these forums.

If there is no break (aka timeout), tell us what kind of setting your pc is in (home, etc.... # of pcs on network...)

I'm no computer expert, so take this with a grain of salt, meaning it may not fix the problem.

    -SLAVE-

Also, turning off your firewall could fix the problem. Credit to whomever said it.

I ran a defrag last night thinking that might help, but it didn't. I don't use IE much anyway...I just tried it to see if maybe firefox was messing up.

Wouldn't turning off my firewall cause other problems?

You mean throwing it out the window? I threw a sewing machine in the garbage once b/c it was messing up.

I would check your Firewall settings, and then check for any virus prevention software and look for options pertaining this site.

    =]]
    Hope it helps.

Though I'm sure someone here will give a much more thorough answer.

Well, under Norton or other virus prevention programs, they have a list of sites that you can send/recieve information about.
This might be on a high risk list or something of the sort, I'm not too sure it's the problem though since you can still post messages, even if it takes a few times.

I just checked the security features and the firewall and virus protections are "ON."

I've never had my computer do what it's doing now.

Hiya somehow the other day i mananged to block my whole internet. It ended up being my firewall, something must have popped up saying allow or not and i'd clicked the other one, as this happens alot. If you check this first it maybe that you have blocked your connection to this site.

Also as i'm sure you can guess i don't really know much about computers and it was a friend who suggested i see if my firewall was doing that.

Heres a simple way to over ride your Server

use 208.67.222.222 as the primary dns
    and 208.67.220.220 as the secondary

    works like a charm

    Its called a Rednecks firewall
