Early in our marriage, my wife was invited to a concert by a couple she has known since high school. A guy she had a crush on was home on leave. (My favorite picture of her is sitting on a dresser on his bedroom). They took two cars as the couple didn't live close by. When my wife got home she told me that, as a joke on the other couple, they stopped on the side of the road to make it seem like they were making out. Odd story to tell as all involved were her friends.

 

That makes zero sense. What was the point? Even as far as jokes among friends it's dubious at best.

 

If I were the suspicious sort, I'd think that your wife and her former flame pulled over for a little play time and realized that her friends might have seen them.
Thinking they might tell you about her indiscretion, she got ahead of the news by telling you that she and he decided to pull a prank on the friends.
You say early in your marriage but don't say how long ago it was. If it's ancient history, let it go. Otherwise it will eat your marriage from the inside out.

 

It wasn't a joke on the other couple. It made you look like a joke.

 

Sounds pretty shady to me. The story doesn't make sense.

Why would your wife want your other friends to think she was making out with someone else and why would she tell you about the prank

I dont know if she did or not but does it matter to you one way or other, assuming this all happened a long time ago

 

Well, you are absolutely right about one point, it's an odd story to tell.

 

It is gnawing him I guess. But just try to imagine if that was true what she told im. So I guess he needs other proof before makin any final decision
