ancient memories

I remember when I was 4, and we lived in Santa Fe, I ate a package of cigarettes. If I went back to Santa Fe I could still find the location even if it isn't there. Just off the plaza.

 

Hi Stumbler,4 days old ?isnt the brain a wonderful thing?did you see the photo first ?maybe that triggered something ?! if not then what a wonderful memory.

 

The simple ones r the best ones ,especially when you know you pissed your mum off lol.When i posted the thread i was worried it would bring horrible memories but as luck would have it its been great ,cheers guys

 

No the weirdest thing was that was my earliest and most vivid memory for all my life, and the horse in the barn was the second. Then just a few years ago my mother ran onto the picture, showed it to me and was telling me about Great grandma's visit when I was born. I know I was three or four years old before I saw her again and I only saw her a few times before she died. The other thing that crept into my mind was that she used to speak to me in Czechoslovakian and I understood her perfectly. Also over the past few years I think I’ve talked to her or at least been with her a lot more times than I did when she was alive.It would be a lot easier to just say that all of this is impossible and a figment of my imagination, but I stopped doing that when I was a teenager because magic appeared right before my eyes, and when I refused to dismiss it opened the parallel world of the mist that exists right next to us.

okay astoria, now it's your turn, spill, what's your earliest memory?

 

First memory - I was about 3 ( possibly 4), and was sat in my sandpit at home, trying to build a house out of some sticks - for some reason it wasn't too succesful. Next memory is travelling to a new town at the age of 5 and seeing the lights as we crested the last hill.

 

I don't remember my first memory. Ha!!

This thread reminded me of Mark Twain being asked about his first lie. He said he didn't remember his FIRST lie, but he remembered the second one very well. He had noticed that if he had a diaper pin sticking into him and he advertised the fact in the usual manner, he was held and cuddled and cooed over in a very pleasant manner. So the next day he advertised it, only there was no pin.

His parents soon discovered that there was no pin, and realized sadly that yet another liar had joined the multitude.

 

Sad but its just generally playing with brothers when small perhaps 5ish.Has anyone had memories of before they were born?????????!!!!!!!!!

 

Some people claim to have intra-uterine memories, but of course, they would be impossible to prove or disprove.

What I have found though, is that all through my life I have had dreams of being stuck in a very small tunnel that I desperately needed to get through for some reason.....the tunnel is red and wet, and there is the sound of a deep drum booming somewhere in the distance.
I always wake feeling very distressed.

 

Chunky, that sure sounds like a birth memory to me. The drum your mother's heartbeat.

 

Stumbler, my nosex gf has visits from her mother all the time. She died a few years ago. I have never had contact while in this body, but I recently realized that its because when I was in my 20's and into spirituality and the craft I put a protective shield around myself. It seems to be very effective because I cant even communicate with the ones I would like to.

Another thing, in Linda Goodman's Sun Signs she have a "spell" or whatever, to insure good parking places. Ever since I did that 15 years ago, I always have a close in parking place, someone is always pulling out just as I get there. Rarely I am a minute or too late or early. It REALLY works.

Back in the days when I used to drive, I always used to 'order' myself a parking space outside my house........call me crazy, but it always worked, which was proved on the occasions when I forgot to do it and ended up parking streets away!!
