Has anyone ever met someone on Craigslist for sex? I've been checking out adds and posted my own and I'm curious as to how safe people have found it

I have, do the "meet in a public place" thing first and it should be fine.

 

I've never posted an ad but I did respond to one and met a great guy. I got the impression from him that it's much easier to meet guys on there than to hook up with a woman though. I guess that's the same for any hook-up site!

I have met a couple women through Craigslist. But, as someone mentioned above, it is much harder for a guy....in the 4 years I have been posting, I have met 2 women, and had email chats with maybe 10 at the most....while I have talked to women who talk about getting 100's of responses to their ads.

 

If you posted on m4m, i'm sure a guy can get loads of hits...and as for the females, sadly, many of them are fakes or prostitutes.

 

Not for sex but a relationship... he was sweet but just had too many things not going for him: 3 kids, no place of his own, DUI, no car, dead-end job that didn't pay well, and the distance was also a killer. I didn't keep him for long. I don't know if I'd go on craigslist for a relationship again... I do still look at ads for a good laugh sometimes some people are desperate!

 

It's just like meeting from anything else online and it should be OK if you meet somewhere in public first.

90% of craigslist is not worth looking at. I find 10% quite entertaining to read, and of that maybe 1% would warrant a response to investigate.
