Explain this to me? I'm a Christian by faith , but that's what I was brought up to be. What about Muslims , Buddhists Etc , the same that was taught in their country to believe in not Jesus but Alaha . So whose wrong if the whole world doesn't know Jesus . Does this mean the rest of tge world besides Christians are going to hell?

 

Well, you are not afraid to ask tough questions, I'll give you that.
Focus on living your life the best way you know how and give others the same latitude.
I think there is no physical place called Hell, but I do subscribe to the belief that Hell is the absence of God in your life.
I think you would be better served focusing on where you are going and let others find their own path

 

I use to be a adult Sunday school teacher , lost my faith like most Christians do at some point in their lives. But how can a baptist ( Methodist) Christian believe in once saved always saved , but pentecostal and others don't have the same believe ? Aren't we all reading from the same bible that was given to man?

 

All I can say is that different churches have their own interpretations of the Bible and the teachings of Christ.

 

Every Christian church has a different interpretation of what happens to non-Christians when they die.

Fire-and-brimstone Christians think everyone's doomed to Hell, including themselves.

Others think only followers of their sect get to Heaven. And other sects think you must be Christian but any sect is fine. Yet others think that as long as you have faith of some sort is fine to get you into heaven (i.e. you can't be atheist).

Then there are Christians who think that it doesn't matter what you believe, it's how good a person you are that determines whether you get into Heaven or not.

Calvinists (I think) believe that God has already decided where you're going before you're even born, and there's nothing you can do to change that (called predeterminism).

There are tons of variations. I've heard that at least one brand of Christianity believes that you can get to Heaven even if you aren't Christian, as long as you were never exposed to Christianity. If you were exposed to it, and rejected it, you're going to Hell.

And for every one of the above-mentioned beliefs, some people think that those that don't go into Heaven must go to Hell, others say Purgatory, others say your soul just evaporates and you cease to exist. As for what constitutes any of these places, people aren't even sure about that, either. Is Hell fire or ice? Is is boring, or torture? Can you meet other people, or are you segregated? My dad was always fond of saying that he wouldn't have time to be tortured in Hell, because he'd be too busy shaking hands with all his friends.

The way it basically stands is that every tiny church in every tiny town will have its own special rules for who does and doesn't get into Heaven. You get to decide what you believe. If you can't figure out what to believe, either by consulting others or the Bible, then leave the question open, and find out when you die.

Prove to everybody there is a heaven and a hell.
Then maybe some can debate the subject further and give you logical replies.

Please don't try to turn things round by saying " prove to me there isn't".

Not being a smart-ass here. Honestly. But. Neither side can win that argument until both sides die. By definition, what happens after death can not be known while alive, right?

How can anyone claim to prove or disprove the future? Death and afterlife (or the absence thereof) hasn't happened to anyone yet that can tell us about it.

Faith is a belief in something that can't be proven scientifically or logically. We all have that. For instance, I have never actually seen air, but I believe it's there.

 

There are a lot of different faiths out there with their own views and versions of heaven and hello. For instance, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam come from the the same roots. They're the same faith but practiced differently. Since you have stated that you're Christian, as am I, believe what your faith tells you. In order to get into Heaven, you must believe that Jesus is the son of God. He must dwell in your heart. Do not judge others for their different faiths. Judgement is not up to us!

Air can be proven to exist in dozens of different ways though.

What happens after death cannot be proven in any way so there can be no proof that heaven and hell even exist.

Like you say, it is all a matter of what people believe in according to what they wish to believe.

Faith is all in the mind, nothing more nothing less. Who is to say who's faith is right or even if faith is right without any proof ?

 

A lot of people will laugh when I say this, but I do believe that Jesus is the son of God, the Word made flesh, and the He died so that those who have faith may live eternally in Heaven.

I also believe that a lot of different religions are saying more or less the same thing in different ways. Follow the basic, simple rules, and you'll be fine. Don't kill (unless they don't look like or pray like you do), don't steal or rape (unless you're gonna kill the savages/heathens/infidels anyway), and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you do the right things, you'll be rewarded in the afterlife.

Whether my own personal beliefs get me anywhere after I die remains to be seen, but it helps while I'm alive.

 

If I end up in hell, I'm almost certain that I shall heave.

this is the question that begs the answer, where is your faith?? as far as i know, faith, if you have it, is kept in your heart. to be real faith, you would have to reflect that faith by how you live your life. there are many who make light of this at their peril!!
hell, will be what you fear most. this may work for some, your uncle forever showing vacation slides to relatives !! to your uncle, this is heaven, but hell for the relatives !!

Some Christians will say Jesus is THE way.
Other Christians will say Jesus is A way.

 

its too just because all those different christians understand the Bible differently doesn´t mean that will happen!

Maybe say one religion believes once you have done a sin, you can never go to heaven again, well doesn´t mean it actually happens just because they believe so...if its really true then there is a system but none of the living know the system, so no matter what you believe it won´t change what happens due to the system!

unless of course there are like different heavens and hells for every belief and everyone gets like to the one they believe in under the conditions they believe in...but that would be pretty interesting because atheists would always end up in a really nice place, but people who believe in hell would end up in torture and hell just because they believed in it, when they themselves would have had the power to go to a good place if they just had believed in it!

 

Most religions (Abrahamic ones at least) do indeed say that non-believers (of their denomination) will go to hell.

That actually gives a powerful argument against religion. Surely, if most people's religion inclinations are not due to impartial decision making but due to their familial/cultural background then it is hardly their fault if they believe in the "wrong" religion.

Equally, it's funny how people always believes that their religion is the "right" one.

Just goes to show how ridiculous, in my view, all religions are.

By all means, question the world around you and be spiritual. But don't believe what some book tells you, to the word/letter.
