    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

    Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

    You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

    An avatar is meant to be a representation of oneself. Yours is misleading at the very least. Exactly the reason why I don't have one. I don't want to post my own pictures here. Nor do I want to pretend to be something or someone I'm not.

    The fact you're using somebody else's picture and somebody else's name (unless you're dumb enough to use your actual name) tells me all I need to know about you.

      the trouble I have is: on what basis apart from suspicion do you base your judgment that someone using a picture not of themselves is systematically trying to fool people? If you have proof they are indeed actively lying in order to harm people (emotionally, financially) then it is another story., Saying this am also pretty sure that exchanges have been made and will be made between individuals who know that the person they are interacting with is not who they say they are but are still willing to communicate as it provides them with their "kick". So who am I or are you to judge if both parties are happy about it? I am not saying that's what I am looking for and that nothing should be done against scamming and proven guilty people, but until proven guilty what right do we have to accuse others? Just thinking out loud and writing this to get opinions, including those of the owners and moderators of this site.

      I can't speak for the others who post in this thread. But I at least do a modicum of research into the "members" in question. Their "guilt" is proven by the screenshots of pictures posted by other people on other websites. These dickheads are catfishing... conning people... no matter what way you butter it up. Thats not cool. As only one of the parties is aware of the game.

      This is all relatively harmless of course. No denial from me there. Closeups of genitals is one thing, but the real problem is when they use other peoples face pictures. Because then an innocent party is put at risk. Purely so that somebody can pursue their own gratification.

    I completely disagree, @StanleyOG. An avatar is just meant to represent a person ..it’s up to the individual to determine what best represents them. If you’re not allowed to have a person that isn’t actually you as your avatar ..it should be clearly stated in the Rules. In fact ..if there are any expectations at all re a person’s choice of avatar ..they need to be clearly stated.

    Also ..this thread was created to address members posting fake/photoshopped pictures in the Real Women/Real Men threads. So ..as you can plainly see by scrolling through ..it often isn’t being used for its original intention. I am guilty of this as well ..I can see that now. I know there’s an old thread that is meant for these posts ..but I’m having trouble finding it.

    And ..while you’re tapping your nose, @hugo agogo ..maybe you could answer me this: what do you get from “sniffing out trouble”? How does it make you feel? I ..genuinely ..just want to understand.

      Well no you are not correct sir. At least not entirely.. Users that have more than one account are banned. Just in special cases I let the person here with only one account and ban the other ones..

      The problem is exactly what @Sia. said... It can't be here just about accusing one another with no real proof...

    Can we create a "Potential Catfish or Fraud" thread? I can see the point of a photoshop thread and the fact that this thread has gotten off track. But, people using pictures that are not their own and trying to mislead is not only a disgrace, but a potential for danger.

    Really? It seems as though everyone is saying it is not the same. Whatever though.....frauds need to be called out. And nobody should expect you to catch or be aware of each a d every one. It seems like a thread such as this, would justify a visit by you frequently. It has proven to be pretty accurate.

    It does appear that no action by the "staff" is a frequent occurrence though. Maybe it has to do with the fact that technically, no rules have been broken? As in the case of redroes for instance? He is a nice fraud.....
