  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Is it to much to ask for readers to give stories a little bit of critique? If you like a story or you hate a story let the writer know. All you have to do is type a couple of sentences. Just don't be cruel if a story isn't to your liking and keep your criticism constructive :)

Most, (not all) other writers prefer to post on the story forum side to get the feedback that they are looking for. Posting on the story side of the site is a very big hit or miss. From my understanding the number of reads you get over there are very deceiving I believe one read counts as 3. If you want post your stories over here and see if you get the response you are looking for, and you can still post over there if you like.

Beware though you are more restricted here than you are there so follow the rules that are at the top of the forum.

HCB is quite right - posting both here and on the main site will get you more reads and more constructive comments. There's a little community here who read and/or write and give mostly helpful praise/criticism.

Like any little family we also fight, whine and bitch at each other occasionally, but nevertheless its a good little bunch on here.

    Welcome aboard! :)

As if that is any real shock for a porn sight where writers present their creations for free and hope to garner a good response?:excited:

Anyhow, welcome to the forum; as previously noted, you will get comments and critiques from other writers and especially some good non-writers; just be sure to have a thick skin, for you will find most of us to be honest and at times rather blunt.

I wanted to highlight this point.

When I read a story, I will write my honest opinion. If I critique some portion, I try to give examples showing where I had an issue.

One thing I don't do is criticize a story just because the topic isn't to my liking. (There is a thread here describing people's turn ons/ turnoffs, if you want to know what genres are most popular.) I usually state up front that "this topic isn't my cup of tea", then usually say something positive like, but it was well written, had good character development, etc.

One thing that is generally hated by all, is overuse of "text speak". As long as you don't write with it often, especially in the narrative, someone is bound to like your story, and possibly everyone.

    Welcome to the forum side.

One matter that NEW brings up, is that the 'not my cup of tea' comments and pointers by writers on the good points of a story can be a major asset in which you or other authors see where your key strong points are located.

Consistent comments such as - good character development, good plot or the like identifies the areas of success, and thus can act as a guide to locate other areas that may be coming along well, yet need just a tad bit of polish.

One real way to challenge your abilities as a writer is to enter a Calling All Writers match and see how you do. We have had a few first-time entrants win them.

    Dammit!!!

I'm missing out on the incest.

Mostly, the critique is honest and that can only be a good thing.

Thanks everyone for all the pointers. I'm wondering though which genres I should stay away from? I want to stay away from subject matter that might be offensive, by and large, to the entire xnxx community.

Any ideas or opinions regarding that?

As I said previously, there is a thread where people put in their turn ons and turnoffs.

    https://forum.xnxx.com/showthread.php?t=359109

Speaking for myself, my "list" was just topics that I could think of off the top of my head. By reading other posts, I realized their were things I left off, like snuff and scat.

In general, my favorite topics are towards the "vanilla" side of the spectrum. Which is not to say that I don't read and comment on various stories in the "darker" genres. Hell, I recently commented on a bestiality story.

For you, I think you should write whatever pleases you. I don't think a person can write a good story, if they are not excited about the topic. Some people will like whatever you write,no matter what it's about.

@ N.E. Woman... I tend to write stories with a great deal of plot and character development. What's your take on stories that take several chapters before they get to the sexual element?

Dude I wrote a couple of stories that took a lot of chapters to finish. That is away some writers would do to test the waters. Post a chapter then see how people feel about then they either continue or they don't.

That's my kind of story - great plot and development with sex as the accessory.

Stay away from genres you don't like. If you force yourself to write something that's not to your personal tastes, it will show.

There are site guidelines on the age of characters, and a look at the theme tags on the story site and the number of stories using each one should give you a vague idea of the tastes of the rest of the writers who post there. Most subjects can be readable if done well. If you do a good job, someone will like it.

I think I would like it a lot. Having said that, I don't think a story long enough that it could be a 250 page book, will go over well.

If I'm being honest.... I am a little tired of reading sex scenes. Let me rephrase that. I know were on a porn site, and I love reading. So obviously there will be more sex in a story here than in other mediums. I have read stories dealing with every aspect of sex, so nothing is "new" to me. Having said that, I would never skip over the sex scenes, because I would never leave a comment on something that I have not read entirely. Reading a story that delves more into what led up to the sex is almost as fulfilling as the actual sex. Does that make sense?

One other piece of advice is to get someone else to proof read your story. I don't write stories, but if I have to give a presentation, I always want a second set of eyes to catch the errors I have overlooked. If you're like me, editing my own work is almost impossible; Simply because I know what I am trying to say, not what it actually says in some cases.

I have to say that I agree with you, I like reading a Story that has development of its Characters as well as a decent sex scene. I find myself often going back to stories to read them just for the plot because I found it to be that interesting.

What I'm trying to say is i think its best to find the right mix of sex and story. Where you are able get the readers attention and keep it even after the sex scene ends.

Sometimes, a comment is beyond me...

Have just read a story on site, which tells of a very young girl being abused by her father and his friend. Although her age is not given, the cadence is for a pre-pubescent child.

In this case, even the line, "not my cup of tea" doesn't work. I just would not leave a comment because, if I did, it would be a torrent of vitriol.

Perhaps it's me, but stories of that ilk disgust me.

One matter to add about the site guidelines, those are established by the administration; and the subject has been debated to death, I tell new members who have questions about a probable theme that may not be acceptable to PM a moderator, present a clear and concise question at to it being appropriate or not, and abide by their decision.

It is better to be safe than possibly banned.

So far it seems like almost anything goes over at the story section. I have even seen stories over there about sex between adults and children. Are the mods more picky about the stories posted here on the forum? I don't want to get banned so I'd really appreciate some input on genres I should definitely avoid writing about.

    Any opinions?
