  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

It's not so much the "fake news" itself that is a cause for concern. It's the "Basket of Gullibles" who are desperate to believe it.

    zombie liberals from hell.gif

    Soon after...the "accusations" were growing.

Or more to the point, why would the president and his vice president feel they need help from lawyers if nothing going on?

How does the old saying go?
A man who represents himself in court has an idiot for an attorney and a jackass for a client?
Of course, if they didn't have lawyers, that would be another reason to bash Trump and Pence.
      carry on.

Shooter resists the urge to ask who Hillary and Bill had for attorneys when they were under investigation.............

Just because he's sure he's done nothing wrong, he can't say the same for those that have been hired to "look into" his actions. In other words, he should be protected from possible "prosecutorial misconduct"...prior to it happening.

Or, in light of our current political environment, "Anything you say can and will be taken out of context, twisted around, added to, subtracted from, manipulated, run thru a rood processor, spit out looking nothing like what you originally said, and then used against you."

Anyone who would give a deposition or testify before a Grand Jury, without consulting an attorney is an idiot. Talking to a lawyer first, is just good sense.

Trump had his choice of people to be Special Council. He picked Mueller. Now he can either live with it, or fire Mueller and live with that. It's too late to complain that Mueller might be unfair. He has been given the job and none of this will end until Mueller says it's over.

In the meantime, all of Trump's supporters, who knew all of their hero's weaknesses, his vanity, his insecurity, his inability to project 10 minutes into the future, will just have to sweat it out, until the facts are revealed.

It's strange how these things work. There was once an investigation into a real estate deal known as Whitewater, and it ended up with a deposition by a 22 year old White House intern, telling about sucking the President's cock.

You never know where this kind of thing will go. Whether or not President Trump colluded with Russia is immaterial at this point. He had a chance to punt this away, but decided to go for it on 4th down. Sooner or later, someone will swear under oath that Trump knew of, and approved of, something they did. From that point on, the President is under investigation.

If he were actually good at his job, none of this would have happened. Now the other team has the ball and his defensive skills are lacking.

What just about everyone, on both sides of the issue have been saying since November is; Get on with it. Bring out the secret CIA reports. Make the "Government sources familiar with the situation" testify under oath before these committees. Bring out the videos, the photos, the memos; whatever there is.
Get it out here where we can see what it is.

Over 7 months and we're still waiting for some proof; any proof that President Trump is even remotely guilty of ................ something. Besides, that is, of being a pompous gas bag. Which we knew already.
If he is, impeach him. Then deal with Pence.
      If he isn't, apologize.

The reality is, neither is going to happen.

      Until 2018 that is.

So what are you saying? Are you saying Mueller was picked without consulting the President? That was clever.

Are you saying the President can't fire a Special Counsel? Or maybe he can't fire an Attorney General who refuses to fire a Special Counsel? That would be some sort of coup d'tat.

    Who's the boss?

Then there was this time when Congress was investigating the US Attorney General for testimony he had given under oath that conflicted with what later documents showed. When Congress tried to subpoena more documents from the Attorney General, the President impounded those documents under the purview of "Executive Privilege", thereby bringing the investigation to a dead stop. When it came to shouts of "obstruction of justice from those in the same party as the Attorney General and the President, the silence was deafening.

I'm asking you to provide some sort of evidence to backup your claim that "Trump chose Mueller." So, skip the "clever" dance of putting it back on me to prove your statement incorrect. I didn't make the statement.

You need to name names. Or, you could just answer the question.

Can the President fire a Special Counsel?

What if he didn't choose Mueller? What if he had never heard of Mueller, and just signed a piece of paper put in front of him? How does that change the situation? He fired Comey because he wasn't doing a good job. Is Mueller doing a bad job?

Does it really matter, if he has the power to dismiss him?

Because lawyers are enlisted when accusations come, whether false or not. Prudent and intelligent thing to do. Therefore the concept escapes you. Thanks for the redundant thread Fopdoodle.

Gee, you were so "matter of fact" in your statement that "Trump had his choice of people to be Special Council. He picked Mueller. Now he can either live with it, or fire Mueller and live with that. It's too late to complain that Mueller might be unfair."

Now we're down to "Maybe he signed a piece of paper" without looking at it? Maybe? Do you know?

    And to answer your question:

    https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/28/600.7

I would assume the term "acting Attorney General" should be implied, in cases such as the current one. And I assume that the President can order teh Attorney General to remove the Special Counsel from office.

What I'd like to know is, did Rosenstein perform the required checks beforehand? Or just assume that, because he's the former head of the FBI, "good enough for me"?

    https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/28/600.3

The link for the "confidential employee" doesn't really give any info. It's more of a glossary. Then again, considering all the reported leaks that are hitting the news, it doesn't sound like he's "confidential" in any way, shape, or form.
