Damn a lot of the threads I enjoyed posting on have disappeared so I guess I will just have to start my own for the things I get a kick out of posting.

And I will say again that if I was a Trump supporter I would be wondering why so many people on Fox are suddenly willing to critize Trump and or stick up for Mueller and Rosentein. Because I think the obvious answer is its because they see Trump going down and want to create some distance between him and them so when Trump goes down he doesn't take them with him. Kind of like trying to swim away from a sinking ship so when it goes under it doesn't suck you down with it.

After Fox News analyst and former judge Andrew Napolitano defended special counsel Robert Mueller‘s duty to see his investigation to completion, the network’s conservative viewers expressed their distaste for his pragmatic words.

Napolitano said the White House’s new strategy of claiming the Mueller investigation has gone on too long is a new strategy that likely is a result of “the addition of Mayor Rudy Giuliani to the president’s legal team.”

“They’re on offense, not defense,” the judge said. “They will be challenging Bob Mueller at every turn. For those of us who watch these things from a professional point of view, I must tell you Bob Mueller has no duty to tip his hand and show his cards until the end of his investigation. And he does have a duty to complete the investigation.”

“It will take a while,” Napolitano said — and in doing so, incited the rage of Fox viewers who now suspect him of being a member of the “deep state.”

“What’s happened to Judge Napolitano?” one Twitter user wrote. “He’s siding with Mueller. Did they get to Judge Nap too?”

“I think it’s time that someone finally tells good old Judge Napolitano to STOP with his one-sided CRAP,” another tweeted, “and STOP acting like he is America’s legal authority on EVERYTHING. He simply is NOT!”

Even Michael Flynn Jr., son of President Donald Trump’s controversial former aide, joined in on the fun, claiming Napolitano is a “sensationalist” and agreeing with another user who accused him of offering “obtuse” commentary.

Watch Fox News’ Shep Smith use a pastor’s own words to fact-check him after prayer at the Jerusalem embassy

Fox News’ Shep Smith on Monday blasted a member of Donald Trump’s evangelical counsel who gave a prayer at the opening of the new Israeli embassy in Jerusalem — using the pastor’s own words.

Pastor Robert Jeffress “says he believes all Jews are going to hell,” Smith noted, and has uttered similar condemnations of Islam. The host then went on to quote the pro-Trump evangelical leader.

“Islam is a false religion,” Smith said, quoting Jeffress. “And if you sincerely follow the tenants of it, then you will end up in hell when you die.”

After the gay host recounted the pastor’s belief that LGBT people are “engaged in the most detestable, unclean, abominable acts you can imagine,” Smith noted that reporters asked deputy White House press secretary Raj Shah why Jeffress was chosen to give the prayer at the embassy on behalf of the Trump administration. The spokesman replied that the pastor had a good relationship with people “on both sides of the aisle.”

Smith then noted before cutting to a commercial break that Jeffress is a Fox News contributor.

Fox & Friends hosts visibly deflated after legal analyst explains how SCOTUS ruling helps sanctuary cities

Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano left the hosts of “Fox & Friends” looking visibly depressed on Tuesday after he explained how a new Supreme Court ruling will help so-called “sanctuary cities” that don’t force their police officers to assist federal officials in enforcing federal immigration laws.

In discussing a SCOTUS ruling released Monday that said it was legal for states to individually allow for sports betting by striking down the 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, Napolitano said that this now makes it easier for cities and states that have “sanctuary” policies to refuse to comply with federal requests for assistance in deporting undocumented immigrants.

“It reinforces the notion that the states can resist the federal government when the feds want the state to help enforce federal law,” he said. “Because states can say, ‘We’re not going to cooperate in enforcing federal law,’ Jerry Brown, the governor of California, can get away with saying, ‘If you work for the state of California or any subdivision of it, and ICE comes knocking, you don’t have to answer the door.”

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt seemed particularly upset by Napolitano’s analysis and challenged him to give a more detailed explanation.

“One is gambling, one is national security!” she said of state sanctuary laws. “So if the laws are in place for gambling, why are they the same for national security?”

“Because the Supreme Court opinion says that the federal government may not take state officials and make them enforce federal law,” he said. “It can enforce federal law on its own.”

Fox Settles Nearly 20 Workplace Claims for $10 Million

21st Century Fox confirmed on Tuesday that it has settled 18 individual workplace claims with attorney Douglas Wigdor. The settlement reportedly totaled $10 million, and the cases range from sexual harassment to workplace discrimination based on gender and race. The New York Times reports that the settlement involves a class action lawsuit filed in part by Fox News anchor Kelly Wright. The terms reportedly state that Wright and the other employees who joined the suit agreed to drop their claims of racial discrimination and leave the cable network altogether. Wright’s contract was also bought out, according to the Times. Wright was the only black male anchor at the network.

‘Interview over!’: Fox News’ Tucker Carlson ends interview after Dem calls him out for being more bothered by cursing than kids being shot

On Tuesday, the parents of two teen girls killed in the school shooting in Parkland announced that they’re running for Broward County’s school board. Their foray into politics marks the latest instance of grieving family members and survivors of gun violence contesting the National Rife Association’s out-sized influence on the US political system. As many activists have pointed out, the gun lobby’s power has cowed America’s elected officials into merely offering “thoughts and prayers” after every massacre. Activists are sick of it and so are some Democrats running for office.

In a new campaign ad, New Mexico Democratic congressional candidate Pat Davis—a former cop—bluntly declares “Fuck the NRA. Fuck the NRA. Fuck the NRA.”

On Tuesday night, he appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight.

“So that’s the ad? ‘F’ the NRA? kind of moronic, no?” Tucker asked Davis.

“It started a whole other conversation about guns and I’m grateful for that,” Davis replied.

“But … doesn’t it degrade you? You used the ‘F-word’ in an ad!?” Carson incredulously wondered.

“Being polite has not made our schools any safer … it hasn’t protected police officers like I used to be,” Davis said, in reference to the fact that many officers are trained to fear that any suspect they approach might be armed.

“If a curse word on TV offends you more than pictures of dead children in Parkland or Newtown … then your priorities are all wrong,” Davis concludes.

Legal analyst delivers bad news to Fox & Friends about Trump indictment

After former New York City mayor and current Donald Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani claimed special counsel Robert Mueller admitted he can’t indict a sitting president, a conservative legal analyst explained to Fox & Friends the complicated rules surrounding the potential outcome of the investigation.

“I don’t know what Bob Mueller told Rudy Giuliani,” Judge Andrew Napolitano said Thursday morning, “but there are actually two memos in the [Department of Justice]. One says the president can be indicted, the other says the president cannot be indicted.”

When former President Bill Clinton pleaded guilty to lying under oath, the judge continued, he took an agreement that “looks like an indictment but it doesn’t involve the grand jury.” Former Trump aides George Papadopoulos and Michael Flynn also agreed to such agreements, Napolitano noted.

“Can they do that with a president?” he mused. “They did it with Bill Clinton.”

Napolitano admitted that current guidelines barring presidents from being indicted prior to impeachment are “political” decisions made in the House of Representatives, but also that one of the Clinton-era DOJ memos allows presidents to be “indicted but not prosecuted” until after they leave office.

When host Brian Killmeade asked if public pressure, as exerted by Trump’s legal team and surrogates, can bring a close to Mueller’s “endless” investigation, Napolitano insisted Mueller’s team could care less.

“These guys don’t care,” the judge said. “Their job is to do the right thing no matter what the public thinks.”

Fox News host goes ballistic after guest suggests Trump may have ‘funded multiple abortions’

Fox News host Peter Hegseth blew up at one his guests on Friday who merely suggested that there are many Americans who believe President Donald Trump has paid for multiple abortions during his years as a ladies man.

Filling in for host Laura Ingraham, the Fox & Friends weekend regular was discussing Trump’s decision to slash funding for Planned Parenthood with conservative columnist Kristin Tate and Democratic strategist Jehmu Greene — arguing over women should be able to receive an perfectly legal abortion “on the taxpayer’s dime,” which Greene disputed.

That was when things went off the rails.

“I think that what’s outrageous here is that no one would be surprised if President Trump himself hadn’t personally funded multiple abortions,” Greene said.

“Do you have evidence of that?” Hegseth exclaimed.

“No, I have no evidence,” Greene responded. “But—”

“Hold on, hold on! You’re just tossing that out!” Hegseth shouted as he cut her off. “So we don’t need evidence for those types of claims?”

“Jehmu, how could you say that on national television with no evidence?” Tate jumped in before adding “This is so irresponsible.”

“I’m just saying no one would be surprised,” Greene shot back. “Would you be surprised, Kristin?”

“Jehmu, stop spreading misinformation!” the frantic Tate exclaimed. “This is ridiculous.”

‘Dangerous in the extreme’: Conservative writer slams Fox News for creating alternate reality of Mueller probe

Conservative writer Matthew K. Lewis has found himself appalled at Fox News and other Trump-friendly media organizations who are creating what amounts to an alternate reality around special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Writing in the Daily Beast, Lewis says that Fox’s promotion of what he describes as an “alternate universe” — along with President Donald Trump’s promotion of the conspiracy theories surrounding it — is “dangerous in the extreme” for American democracy.

“In the other America — and make no mistake, there are tens of millions living in this alternative universe — the Obama administration sought to wiretap and spy on the Trump campaign for completely nefarious reasons,” he writes. “They were out to get him from day one.”

What makes this particularly scary, he writes, is that Trump is using this parallel reality to justify calling for investigations into his political opponents.

“Make no mistake, what Trump said on Sunday was a big deal,” he writes. “Imagine, for a second, that this was a Democratic president ordering a Democratic attorney general to investigate the last Republican administration. Imagine any president making this instruction to any AG. It’s a step beyond where we’ve been, but it is consistent with Trump’s M.O., which is to accuse others of the thing he has been accused of doing.”

He says it’s high time for Republican congressional leaders to put their feet down and tell Trump that enough is enough — but he doesn’t hold out much hope for them doing so.

“The (apocryphal) line often attributed to Edmund Burke — ‘All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing’ — is especially true today,” he writes.

Former Fox News Host accidentally leaked private messages slamming Fox News

Political pundit and Former Fox News Host, Bob Beckel, accidentally went on Twitter and bashed his former show The Five, reported the Daily Beast.

Beckel, mistakenly sent a public tweet instead of a DM to Tom Rogan, a political journalist. Rogan said he was asking Beckel to be a guest on his show.

Beckel said he would love to appear on the show, but suggested a Fox News contributor would say no because Fox doesn’t do anything if it doesn’t benefit them.

He then began to bash Fox News and asserted that the company would regret the day he becomes successful. He even said his old show The Five was “tired.”

In 2017, Fox News fired Beckel for making racist comments to a co-worker.

Pulitzer-winning political cartoonist scorches Fox News: They’re why ‘we can’t discuss things like adults’

According to one Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist, those who mourn for the days of civilized political discussion need look no further than Fox News for its loss.

“No, we can’t just discuss things like reasonable adults, and Fox News is the reason,” reads the headline of a Thursday Washington Post column written by the newspaper’s in-house cartoonist Tom Toles.

“Many Americans are still somewhat unaware of how unfair and unbalanced this spigot of misinformation has become,” he wrote. “After all, what sane person would want to spend their time watching this unceasing river of drool?”

Touting Media Matters’ recent supercut of Fox News talking heads attacking the Justice Department, Toles derided the “ruthless propaganda” spewed by Donald Trump’s favorite channel as “jaw-droppingly beyond irrational.”

“This is a rusty razor being violently drawn back and forth across the throat of American discourse,” he mused. “No, there is no way to have a normal discussion with these people.”

“There is no possibility of having a conversation with these people,” Toles continued. “Their efforts are transparently about spreading hysteria, intimidation and the short-circuiting of the American justice system. For the purpose of protecting Trump, at any cost.”

“When the American conversation has come to this, we are in a very bad place,” he wrote. “This is no longer about discussion, or the examination of ideas. It is nothing but ruthless propaganda.”

The right-wing network, Toles wrote, often takes crimes Republicans are guilty of “will immediately turn it around and accuse the other side of, and with a breathtaking vehemence.”

“Do you enjoy playing ‘I know you are but what am I?’ Forever?” he asked.

Russia has had thus far an additional 1-1/2 years to continue their antics. China because of Trumps activities (like killing the Pacific Trade Agreement) is more financially powerful than ever, taking over more and more of the world's commerce and has been able to pursue their own efforts at regional domination. Most of all, our entire government has been picked apart and left in shambles. The protections the people, environment, national parks/monuments have had and so much more, stripped... The last 50-years of advancements protecting our people, society, land and nation destroyed. The guardians of our country both internally and internationally have been hobbled. Worst of all, our citizens are fighting amongst themselves and dividing more than any other time, and every ally we had is turning their back on us while every enemy is now safely moving forward with every plan they ever had.

You people are not defending Trump, or "your party" or even bettering your lives (as even little carrots are offered then pulled back away, none of them working out... Naturally all blamed on the "other side" which has had no power to stop them).

You are helping all of our enemies, whether Trump is a puppet of theirs or not... Accomplish what they have always dreamed of and worked for... That your parents, grandparents and every AMERICAN citizen has fought to protect. You are helping to destroy America.

You, all of you intentionally spreading lies for Trump and those that support his intentional destruction of America, knowing he is lying yet laughing about it as though it is some joke and a game...

YOU are destroying AMERICA! YOU are an enemy to your own nation. And those of you that are citizens of this nation, that makes you a TRAITOR to this nation.

Watch: Fox News’ Shep Smith hilariously slays Trump’s reaction to Roseanne’s racist comments

On Wednesday, Fox News host Shepard Smith mocked Donald Trump for taking the teachable moment offered by the public outcry over Roseanne Barr’s racist tweets—and making the controversy all about himself.

Trump has yet to clearly denounce Barr for the tweets, a situation reminiscent of his refusal to unequivocally denounce fascist rallies in Charlottesville.

Instead, as Smith pointed out, Trump is making the controversy all about himself and tweeting out aggrieved attacks against journalists.
