I didn't call the mayor I didn't call the governor I didn't call the president . you know what I did , I took care of everything myself. it was bizarre I know . Everyone in my area helped each other. And another thing Trump's tweet did was just call far more attention to all of FEMA and Trump's failures.

And a great example of that is Trump saying they sent a hospital ship down there. Which is true. But as officials in Puerto Rico point out the hospital ship didn't even arrive until two weeks after the hurricane. And then when it did arrive most of their beds and medical resources went unused while people were dying because FEMA failed to coordinate the resources needed to get people in need of medical care to the ship.

Also highlighted is the lack of needed resources that were available but never called in. And the way FEMA failed to coordinate efforts to clear the roads so rescuers could reach all the towns and villages where people were dying.

The amazing part is it's funny how all the millionaires homes got rebuilt first and they're not even there first homes that's their second third or fourth home . Nothing I couldn't handle people right down the street from had more damage. But we were without electricity for nine days. Noth of us took the hard hit . The town of Mantoloking was completely gone. Don't quote but I don't think there was a house left standing or that didn't have very bad damage

The feds had the funds there and were willing to give it and NJ had set up the application yet failed to clear the $27million in HUD funding that was promised by the state that was required. Now who's fault was the$27million? Well that fell on the state for not getting the funds approved by the state legislature that HUD had asked for. Who is it that failed to get the request to the legislature?
Even the officials in New Jersey admit that they failed to obtain the funds because they fucked up.

The failure to include state funds in its application caused New Jersey to receive just $15 million from a program carved out of money originally earmarked for Hurricane Sandy aid, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone Jr. said Friday.

 

Who really cares about New Jersey ?
You could send ten gazzillllllion dollars here . It will never reach the people who need it . And the state will still cry broke and double our taxes next year .
